Hi! Anyone else around yet who's expecting in April 2016? I've searched Mumsnet but can't find a thread- apologies if I've missed it. Just got my BFP today due date would be 2nd April (so the NHS website tells me). Would be great to have company on this journey!!

della I have no symptoms either and I'm a little scared! 6+2 here and nothing (apart from no AF)! I'm actually considering going to be chemist and getting a test and i don't feel pregnant! I'm off away for a week at the weekend and I want some sort of sign before then! I feel like I've made it all up!

TriJo · 17/08/2015 14:39

Sophia I've already gone and bought a sports bra 2 sizes bigger, thinking I'd have some room to grow into but it fit like a glove when I wore it for a run on Thursday! I didn't run much last week because I feel less crap when I swim, went swimming 4 times though including a very pleasant outdoor dip in the Serpentine yesterday.

DizzyMerry · 17/08/2015 14:46

I feel the same della and mascara. I woke up feeling nauseous yesterday but it trailed off and nothing since. CB digi showed 3+ in Friday so that's a good sign. With DD I was knackered just after I tested at 6 weeks and although I feel knackered at times now I'm not sure whether that's just due to having a toddler to run around after. It's so worrying.

waxweasel · 17/08/2015 14:48

Omg how are people managing to exercise? I can barely make it down the stairs! Am feeling constantly sick and fluey. Just had to walk to the supermarket and I had to sit down in the aisle as I got so dizzy and was genuinely worried I was going to be sick on the floor. Had to call in sick today. Am panicking as I dont know how I'm going to cope with DD on my own tomorrow - feel like such a crap mum atm.

I emailed the breastfeeding network pharmacist and asked her about the safety of B6 - advice is that it is safe to take up to 100mg/day while breastfeeding, and 200mg a day while pregnant. I've just bought some and taken my first dose of 50mg - fingers crossed...

Hope the preggypops work FussyHendricks! I havent got any yet - am trying mint imperials and gin gins (ginger sweets) and have ordered travel sickness bands off ebay. I will literally try anything at this point!

mascaraisamust · 17/08/2015 14:48

Well I might get a CB and a cheapy. My last CB said 1-2 weeks at 5weeks (last week) which was a bit worrying. If it doesnt go up I'll call my gp as I'm worried it's not progressing.

waxweasel · 17/08/2015 14:49

Sorry ladies with no symptoms - I know that must be just as hard in a different way. But lots of my friends had really easy nausea free pregnancies and had healthy babies, so try not to worry Flowers

mascaraisamust · 17/08/2015 15:00

I've got three tests Blush as its not fmu and I know if I get a positive no doubt next week I'll end up doing the same if I still have no symptoms! Until I have this 8 week scan I cant believe it.

tessandjude · 17/08/2015 15:08

I'm 6+2 and also don't really have any symptoms. Feel a little dizzy now and again but nothing much. At least it means I'm managing to eat really healthily as if nausea hits I will probably be living off junk.

I've only just got back from holiday so going to organise my appointments today.

mascaraisamust · 17/08/2015 15:15

Phew, pregnant, 2-3 weeks. Feel much better now. That's about right as I reckon they've dated me a week out. I think I'm about 5 weeks, not 6. And relax!

KatySAFC · 17/08/2015 15:21

Hi ladies and congrats to the new people who've joined since I was last on.

1st day back at work after a lovely (if uncharacteristically sober) holiday. I've been asked on two occasions this afternoon alone if I'm ok (I look like sh*t and can barely keep my eyes open I'm so exhausted).

Sophia - YES! I thought I was the only one! The right one has grown about 2x as much as the left and is twice as painful. I'm really hoping they even out soon. I'm sure they're not as noticeable to other people - it just feels so weird!

Booking in appointment on Wednesday afternoon when I'll be 8+4. Only moderate nausea and sick a couple of times, but reading the positive comments on here is really helping! :-)

KatySAFC · 17/08/2015 15:23

. . . and forgot to say - thanks so much Fussy for the stats. They're fab! I love a good spreadsheet! Grin

Want2bSupermum · 17/08/2015 16:24

So I've given in and asked my obn for prenatals aimed for those with MS. I'll pick them up when I venture out to pick up DD from her camp. I've had horrible cramp and lower back pain akin to period pains but no bleeding. I must have thrown up over 2 dozen times over the weekend.

The obn office were lovely and said I could stop by on Thursday lunchtime with DS when he has his ENT appointment in another office in the same building and they would prescribe medication to help with the nausea and vomiting.

Dellabob123 · 17/08/2015 16:46

Hi *mascaraisamust I feel the same. Thinking about getting a CB digital as well just to check.
This is too weird.

With my first DD, I got terrible terrible peri oral dermatitis from about 12 weeks right till the end. I hope if this one is different then it decides to leave well alone with that too as that was depressing!

KnitsBakesAndReads · 17/08/2015 17:52

Thanks for the book recommendation waxweasel, I'll definitely check that out.

I'm also in awe of people still managing to jog etc. The most exercise I've been feeling up to is going for a walk over the weekend.

Sorry to all those worrying about lack of symptoms, I hope all the comments about that being normal are a bit reassuring. I had one day last week when my boobs suddenly didn't hurt at all and I couldn't stop worrying about it. Quickly changed my mind the next day when it hurt just to put on my bra!

Lots of people seem to be getting their booking appointments around eight weeks, is that about the usual time? I had to phone my GP last week as I still haven't had my appointment through (she told me to call back if I hadn't heard anything two weeks after my referral) and they told me that in my area they don't arrange your first appointment until 12 - 14 weeks. The receptionist at the GP said they're really busy, but even so that sounds quite late to me?

MazzleDazzle · 17/08/2015 18:06

Hi folks!

Got my BFP 12 days ago. No idea of my due date as I didn't get my period when I came off the pill!

Contacted my GP to let him know I was pregnant. I've been trying to get a booking appointment, but can't get a hold of anyone, which is fruatrating.

Feeling a bit wobbly today as my DH has just left for a 5 week work trip. Will be on my own with 2 DC and I work PT. He wants me to wait until he gets home before I go for a scan and to keep the news to myself until then too! There's a new scanning place opened just up the road too. How will I be able to resist?

Have any of you shared your good news?

ashboo76 · 17/08/2015 18:18

Congrats and welcome newbies!

Mazzle I'm too scared to tell many yet as had a mc in march I'm only 5+3 have told one dear friend (as she is like my big sis and I lost my mum) and one of my employees (in case I need help or cover at work) otherwise waiting til 8/9 weeks ... So hard not telling but at the same time keep pinching myself that I'm pregnant! Grin

FussyHendricks · 17/08/2015 19:02

Oh London I'm glad you saw a sympathetic doctor. I bet within a day of getting away you won't give home a second thought. When are you off?

TriJo definitely** give them a call to chase up the booking appointment. They may just have a backlog to clear but can't hurt to give them a gentle nudge Smile

Salty I'm annoyed on your behalf! How insensitive. Hope the week goes quickly for you, Thursday will be here in no time.

Sorry for your spotting Spotted. Sure all is fine but glad you're getting seen quickly for a scan.

Waxweasal the sweets worked a treat! Thanks so much for the recommendation! May have to ration them though, I've got through 4 already and I'm not yet home!

Hello to all the newbies!

FussyHendricks · 17/08/2015 19:03

Massive bold typing fail. Sorry. Blame the app!

Want2bSupermum · 17/08/2015 20:56

TriJo swimming and yoga work very well for me when pregnant. The impact activites just don't suit me at all!

pocopearl · 17/08/2015 21:12

Thanks everyone. I have just moved to Isle of Man and there is no where that do private scans :( unless i spend crazy money on a ferry or plane across to get one. I do have a new patient appointment with nurse on weds and then will try and get midwife appointment. I will see if she can get the gp to refer me but i dont 100% know what the policy is for epu. Although there is only one on the Island. I don't suppose anyone else is from the Isle of Man in the group here that might know?

I am 5+3 and no symptoms anymore which is worrying. No nausea, no sore boobs, cramping has now stopped completely. Little worrying.

Is anyone in here from July 2013 babies?

louwn · 17/08/2015 22:13

I have no symptoms anymore, just vanished, and don't feel pregnant at all. Pretty sure this is a very bad sign. Do I just wait and see if something happens or call the GP tomorrow?

LaPampa · 17/08/2015 22:21

Had red spotting after 2 days of brown spotting and some uncomfort around left ovary. Felt terrible earlier also, sick and weak. Rang GP. 3 hours later I had scan at the hospital and all is well - little heart flickering away but ovary has a cyst causing the bleeding and pain.

Now just to figure out timings for the tube so I can get the circle line without being crammed against other people!

Oh yes and in answer to the boob question - yes, one is bigger. Also had to buy new bra a size up at the weekend and some non maternity but waist less dresses for work!

waxweasel · 17/08/2015 22:38

FussyHendricks so glad they worked for you! They're genuinely magic, I dont know why. Or why they have to be so damn expensive!

MazzleDazzle · 17/08/2015 23:02

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage ashboo. You must be delighted to have fallen pregnant again!

It's such a relief to read that everyone is in the same sense of disbelief, worry and impatientness as me! Grin

louwn I doubt your GP would do anything, other than tell you to wait and see. Sometimes symptoms come and go. You could take another pregnancy test to see if it's still positive? Some days I'm convinced I'm carrying twins as I'm so bloated and retching at every smell, the next it's like I imagined it all! It's a worry this early though isn't it? Can't wait for the 12 week mark!

meganlilly89 · 18/08/2015 07:52

Have my early scan at 10.30.. Very nervous Confused
