Hi! Anyone else around yet who's expecting in April 2016? I've searched Mumsnet but can't find a thread- apologies if I've missed it. Just got my BFP today due date would be 2nd April (so the NHS website tells me). Would be great to have company on this journey!!

Philly83 · 10/08/2015 20:27

Just found out my booking in date so have added this to the spreadsheet - nice to be able to put a date of some kind on there! Grin

Dexlie0806 · 10/08/2015 20:28

Thank u for the stats fuzzy. Well done that must have took a while. I can't edit it because I'm in my phone so will do it later but I'm 34 and have an early scan booked for 20th aug and first mw appt 18th aug Grin

DizzyMerry · 10/08/2015 20:44

Thanks for doing the stats fussy. I'm 34 and have my first mw appointment on Thursday 13/08. On my phone so will try updating my stats later.

CousinChloe · 10/08/2015 20:51

Forders I'm really sorry to hear about your Ds being unwell, and I really hope it's not German measles/rubella. I don't think getting it in pregnancy is good, but hopefully that's not what he's got anyway, and even if he has, you may well have had it or been immunised first. I know I had it as a small child then had the MMR twice, for example, so I should be fine. Has Ds had MMR? I'm sure you'll be fine, but maybe worth talking to your doctor to put your mind at rest?

Dellabob123 · 10/08/2015 21:02

Amazing spreadsheet fussy, well done. So weird seeing it written down. No booking in appointment for me yet. Also another one feeling very unpregnant right now! How is that possible?? Mind you, thinking back, I didn't know I was pregnant until about 5 weeks, and no symptoms at that stage either. So maybe this is the same??

I'm back at work tomorrow after a relaxing week off, boo.

Londonlady2015 · 10/08/2015 21:14

Nice work on the spreadsheet fussy can't believe how many of us there are!

To fill in gaps I'm 31, dc1, 12 week scan due 18th September. No midwife appt Sad

So so tired this eve. Nausea not so bad during the day, but was quite a stressful one anyway. Must learn not to get too stressed at the mo.

Penchant for terrible food continues. Potatoe waffles and baked beans for dinner!!

Emileelogan · 10/08/2015 21:17

Im tired tonight too I've done nothing around the house... Feel so lazy lol... I think all this laziness has eased my cramps though but not done anything to ease my nausea though but no actual sickness :) xx

DizzyMerry · 10/08/2015 21:18

Della I didn't know until I was 6 weeks with DD and don't think I had any symptoms for a week after that so keep talking sense into myself. It just seems unreal in the absence of symptoms. I have had more of an appetite since Saturday so I'm taking that as a symptom!

Forders · 10/08/2015 21:22

Thanks Chloe. I've calmed down a bit now. DP, having been the one to panic me in the first place, has done more research and now says it's unlikely to be GM. He's had the MMR and it seems rare anyway (though a colleague's son has had it in the last few years) so fingers crossed it's nothing. We'll keep an eye on it.

Otherwise, I'm still feeling pretty sick and have started going off food again. Couldn't eat what I'd taken into work for lunch today, luckily there's a fab canteen where I managed to find something I could stomach. Had no problem with pizza for tea tonight though!

Hope everyone else is ok. Very jealous of the early scans! I remember last time I would've been happy being scanned daily (at least til he started moving) I was so worried. Hope I can be a bit calmer this time!

Hanky3 · 10/08/2015 21:31

Fab stats sheet... It really does feel weird to see our names up there! I'm due 6th April but have been freaking out over the last few days as I've had brown discharge/spotting. I have been obsessively googling and what I've found so far suggests that things could be fine and that red=danger, brown =old. I'm reassured though that I stii have sore boobs, am super gassy and bloated and am an emotional wreck flitting between being cross at DH and crying... So I figure sproglet is still having these desirable effects!

It doesn't help that we are moving on Saturday (from herts to North Norfolk) and we are both at work all week and there is still soooooo much packing to do. But better now than in 7 months time!

London- your dinner makes me feel better about our dominos this evening Grin

FussyHendricks · 10/08/2015 22:27

Hanky, spotting is very common. Keep an eye on it and call your MW or EPU if you're concerned. Sure all is fine though. I had some pinkish spotting last week but it disappeared very quickly.

Good luck with the move. We moved house when I was 6.5 months pg with DD. Horribly stressful! The only plus side was I got out of carrying any boxes! Wink

Forders keeping everything crossed your DS is okay

Very jealous of your dinners London & Hanky. I had a veggie stir fry but just couldn't stomach it. I managed to eat relatively healthily last time round but I have a feeling I'll be carb loading this time Grin

Right, off to bed for me. I'm amazed I've been able to keep my eyes open this long!

kiwikaterpillar · 11/08/2015 01:51

Folders hope you DS feels better soon.
Apologies for being missing in action for the last few days.
Am a bit in awe of the people still running. I tried a very gentle 5km on Sunday and it floored me so think I'll have to go back to walking.
I am having cramps on and off, trying not to worry but it's hard not to. Sickness is pretty bad today, had to leave a conference call early, but put it down to winter bugs. Not sure how long I'll get away with that though.

We haven't told anyone else, thinking of waiting until the 12 week scan, after the disappointment of the MC a couple of months ago- although don't know if we'll be able to hide it that long. I just realised that I'm going to be that in between bit of looking fat and not yet pregnant when we go on a family holiday to Fiji in October for FIL 60th. Just what I want for a beach holiday (first world problems- I know).
I'm getting a bit concerned about telling work. I'm in line for a promotion/ have had informal chat about taking a role in a different city next year and I know the timing of this won't be great for them. I'm not sure if it would be better to tell them sooner or wait...
Anyone got any tips for helping the queasiness?

tessandjude · 11/08/2015 08:55

Hope everyone's well. I just feel generally rough at the moment, occasionally feeling sick and strange stomach pains. I had some yellow discharge (yuk) yesterday which really scared me as sometime I get that before af but it seems to have gone now. Is that normal? As is my first time I really don't know what is normal or not.

Mummyofonesofar · 11/08/2015 09:05

fussy I already had a log in as I do a few stats sheets for other busses.

End of September seems a long time away Sophie ! You’ll be 12 weeks by then, but I guess on the NHS website it recommends booking in apt between 8-12 weeks.

Congrats on the wedding and honeymoon baby Suffolk

Spotted with my mc pregnancy the GP said “are you happy about the pregnancy” but this time I just spoke to the receptionist who said congratulations. It is upsetting I think when they ask questions like that!

Forders I hope DS is ok!

I was quite nauseous yesterday but feeling much better today but very bloated.

kiwi I will be going on holiday at 8-9 weeks and think I will be looking pregnant with all this bloat anyway, I am sure you will look pregnant by October as it is DC2 and you’ll be in your second trimester by then, nicely pregnant rather than beached whale look at that stage!

DizzyMerry · 11/08/2015 09:26

Tess completely normal. I had it in my previous pregnancy and have had it this time too.

I hope your DS feels better soon forders.

I had some waves of nausea again last night and the bloating has started but I can still manage to eat loads!

Athousandtrees · 11/08/2015 09:42

Morning all,

I'm feeling better this morning but I have eaten a banana, croissant, activa yogurt and a piece of toast and I've only been up since 7.45!! At this rate I'm gonna be 10 ton by April!

I managed to log on to the spreadsheet last night but I didn't update my details, I'll try and do that now. Apparently I'm due to April Fools Day.

As for Dr and Receptionists asking strange questions, wait to the booking in appointment. My MW asked dh to leave the room then asked me whether it was a happy marriage, whether the child was wanted and if he abused me! I suppose they have to ask but I don't think in that situation a lady suffering abuse would open up when she know her partner is right outside the room!

Forders · 11/08/2015 10:00

Athousandtrees at least your MW asked him to leave the room; with DS, my MW asked me while DP was sitting next to me! Even he couldn't believe it!

He's just taken DS to the doctor's. He's much brighter this morning so hopefully it's just a bad cold and random rash.

Mummyofonesofar · 11/08/2015 10:07

thousandtrees My MW never asked me that and I was in a bad relationship with exdp when pg with DS, all my notes say how I was in a happy supportive relationship but as she never asked I didn’t open up about it.

Forders rashes can come out when they have a virus, my DP gets one every time he is feeling run down. So fx it is that and he feels brighter soon Smile

Athousandtrees · 11/08/2015 10:10

Im sure there's a better way to say it and a better place/situation.

My dh said he felt that the MW were anti men, during my preganancy, labour and subsequent house visits! I never noticed.

Hope your ds is ok forders

Mummyofonesofar · 11/08/2015 10:15

It should be done more senstively!

Feeling as big as a house today, got maternity trousers on as my other ones were cutting in and still had some from years ago in a box, so comfy but they make me look really pregnant....

CarrotVan · 11/08/2015 10:27

I'm tentatively sticking my nose in here. I'm 4+2 and due on April 16th - 4 days before my DS1's birthday!

This is my third pregnancy this year with a MC in May and a CP in July so I'm very anxious. My lines are getting stronger though and I have a scan and EPU assessment booked for the 24th (6+1)

thousandtrees With my first pregnancy I was asked that at booking in, from time to time in antenatal appointments and by the health visitors when they visited after the birth. It's normal. Pregnancy is an 'at risk' time for women as partners can feel pushed out and react badly so the HCPs are on alert for problems

meganlilly89 · 11/08/2015 10:34

I have tried to update my stats but the spreadsheet keeps crashing..

I'm 26 have a DD already. Early scan on the 18th August, midwife 19th august and my 12 week scan 21st September

Congratulations to all the new ones.

Carrot I recognise your name from the ttc after mc thread i think! Congratulations to you

I feel sick and tired. Haven't been sick as off yet, but I wasnt with DD either.

X

Mummyofonesofar · 11/08/2015 10:37

Welcome CarrotV Grin

CarrotVan · 11/08/2015 10:42

You do megan - nice to see so many familiar faces from the buses

DizzyMerry · 11/08/2015 10:55

Welcome carrot.

I was asked about our relationship in my last pregnancy by the mw and also the health visitor came to the house after the birth. They asked in the absence of DH.
