Hi! Anyone else around yet who's expecting in April 2016? I've searched Mumsnet but can't find a thread- apologies if I've missed it. Just got my BFP today due date would be 2nd April (so the NHS website tells me). Would be great to have company on this journey!!

We haven't told our dd yet. We had a. Mc April/may and she knew then but being too young to understand we had to tell her the fairies we're going to bring a baby another time. I have a private scan booked for next week when i will be 7/8 weeks. Haven't thought about when we will tell dd yet tho xx

Hi all, welcome all the newbies. There's quite a few of us now!
Today instead of sickness I've been having cramps in my left hand side, anyone else? Feel a bit panicky.

FussyHendricks · 10/08/2015 15:42

Hi all

Well the first day back at work after holiday has been a bit of a struggle - I'm exhausted and ready for my bed.

I'm easing myself back into work mode by creating a stats spreadsheet for us - I really hope I've included everyone correctly - huge apologies if I've missed anything!

I think I've adjusted the access settings so any one of us can access and edit - so feel free to update where needed, or ask me and I'll be happy to do it for you.

I've based it on a template we used from my old MN antenatal thread and I thought we could add in scan dates, gender etc as we go along?

Here's the link: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19_oJAqbUcG6rkYeIhNviPagpQ4BSbWYHZtzYI0Yi4L4/edit?usp=sharing

Athousandtrees · 10/08/2015 15:51

It wont let me access fussy.

I phoned my mw apparently the cramps are normal as long as they're not accompanied by bright red blood or brown discharge. Still feel like crap though.

FussyHendricks · 10/08/2015 15:59

Balls. Let me try again

FX all okay re cramps. I definitely had this first time round with no ill effects x

Mummyofonesofar · 10/08/2015 16:03

Great Fussy I have added some columns as I have a couple dates already for scan and booking in appt Grin

meganlilly89 · 10/08/2015 16:08

I have some appointment dates too.i can't edit it on my phone so will do it when I'm back in the office tomorrow. X

FussyHendricks · 10/08/2015 16:09

Thousand do you get an error message?

Glad you could edit Mummyofone did you need a Google login to access?

TriJo · 10/08/2015 16:15

Was able to add mine - I was logged in on Google anyway and accessing via Firefox on a desktop.

Issie339 · 10/08/2015 16:18

Good job fussy! Glad I'm not the only one who does all my admin tasks at work Grin

I'm terrible Issie! Car booked in for MOT and credit card paid amongst other tasks today! Suffering severe CBA attitude today. Wink

I do love a good spreadsheet though - I have them for everything!

FussyHendricks · 10/08/2015 16:32

Nice one TriJo. Not long till your early scan now! Exciting!!

TriJo · 10/08/2015 17:05

We booked a private one, because we're so uncertain on my dates we wanted some early reassurance. Still waiting to hear back from the midwives at my local hospital, my GP faxed a referral over on Thursday when I saw him.

FussyHendricks · 10/08/2015 18:05

I'm tempted by an early scan too but just because I'm too impatient to wait until 12 weeks to find out all is okay!

You should have a booking appointment through soon. I sent my referral off last Wednesday and the letter for my booking appointment was waiting for me when I got home in Sunday. FX your midwives are as quick!

Sophia1984 · 10/08/2015 18:06

Doctor's appointment today - she was really lovely and reassuring. Is it normal that they don't do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy? Se said if I've done two tests myself then that's fine! Apparently they are a bit short of midwives around here (!) but they will ring me to arrange an appointment around end of September. Guess I just have to take my vitamins and twiddle my thumbs till then!

suffolkblonde · 10/08/2015 18:26

Hi everyone it's so good to have this thread as it's very hard keeping this a secret from everyone else at the moment! I'm desperate to tell my mum and sister but would prefer to tell them in person and I also want to spare them this agonising wait till the first scan in September!

I'm also tempted by the idea of a private early scan but also wondering if it's really worth paying £100 for the sake of knowing 3 or 4 weeks early, and also it would be terrible to see a scan and think everything's OK and then for something to go wrong before the 12 week scan.

I'm 5 weeks + 4 now and symptoms are mainly dizziness, crazy dreams, tiredness in the afternoons and feeling really bloated (although that's probably more to do with the food I've consumed since I got married a month ago - making up for a year of being on a diet!).

Definitelysometime · 10/08/2015 18:45

Thanks for the stats fussy! So nice to see so many of us here.

Feel very un-pregant today and had stressful day and nursery run, could murder a Wine right now.

Aw congrats on your wedding suffolk! Are you having a real, proper honeymoon baby? So romantic!

suffolkblonde · 10/08/2015 19:08

Well, pretty sure baby was conceived a couple of days after getting back from honeymoon, but we hadn't gone back to work yet so I'm counting it! Could also murder a prosecco x

Definitelysometime · 10/08/2015 19:29

Oh yeah, totally count it. That's lovely. Where did you go?

Issie339 · 10/08/2015 19:54

Haha fussy I've been at home with DD today and looking forward to being back at work tomorrow to get some of my jobs done Grin

I don't think I'm going to have an early scan, I'm kind of thinking what will be will be and am just trying to chill out about it. It is tempting though...

suffolk a honeymoon baby, how lovely and romantic! We always seem to conceive on holiday- DD in Morocco and this one at Centre Parcs- as you can see, our tastes are somewhat less exotic now we have DD! Lols

I rang the gp today and said "so, I'm pregnant, what do I do, do I need to see the gp or straight to midwife or what?" Receptionist said, "do you want to go ahead with the pregnancy?" Confused I know they probably have to ask, but I didn't think I sounded like I needed that asking! She did say congrats at the end of the call. Booking in appt on 4th Sept, seems like forever away. Bit tired now, bit crampy/stretchy, and waaaaay grumpy. Anyone else feel thoroughly unmotivated at work right now? Grin

MsGlitterJunkie · 10/08/2015 19:57

Fab spreadsheet fussy thanks so much for creating it! So nice to see all the April '16 ladies stats in one place.

I've got my first scan on Friday, mostly excited but very jittery and nervous too.......! Also got a telephone assessment on Saturday morning with the hospital I've chosen for my ante natal care - not sure what that's all about!

I am completely shattered today, I walk to and from work every day about 5.5 miles but was really tough going on the way back and I'm only 5+4 Confused

Congratulations on the wedding suffolk!

Emileelogan · 10/08/2015 20:16

Are u suppose to tell them when u book ur doctors appointment ? I haven't coz I don't like the nosy receptionists at my docs ha ha xx

Forders · 10/08/2015 20:18

Thanks for the spreadsheet - I'll update my stats when I get chance. For the record, I'm 34 and my booking in appointment is 4th Sept.

Does anyone know what the deal with German Measles is? Come home from work to find DS, who's had a cough and cold-y symptoms all weekend, starting with a rash around his neck. We'll take him to the doc's tomorrow but now I'm petrified he's got it and it'll harm the baby Hmm. I can't remember if I've had it or not - does it even matter with this? Gutted.

Emileelogan · 10/08/2015 20:19

Love that spreadsheet fussy... I'm 32 and this will be number 2 xx
