Sorry Wonky x

Kittykitty05 · 22/07/2015 16:12

Heard from midwife. It's so complicated. My community midwife is under one trust, I want to deliver in a hospital that's under another. I apparently need to book with both, except community mw can't fit me in so will do it at some point in my absence(?!) and I need to sort booking with the hospital myself. Thankfully my sil works at the hospital as a mw so hopefully she can help with that part. I'm so confused! She did offer to sort me an early scan but not sure how reassuring it'll be after the problems we've had Confused

Kittykitty05 sounds really complicating :( but it's good news about the early scan isn't it?

BeautifulLiar · 22/07/2015 16:21

yes kitty that's complicated alright! Bless you. Definitely good news about the scan though, if you want one?

Haha I just text DH saying "I can't wait to have our baby! I want it right NOW!" and he replied saying "aww, me too. Well, maybe not right now, we wouldn't be able to see it.. " Haha not quite what I meant!

BeautifulLiar · 22/07/2015 16:24

Anyone else still got the gross (not metallic!) taste in their mouth? Haven't seen it mentioned for a while. I sure have, except when I eat/drink, but if I carry on I'll end up the size of a whale!

Cannot believe I started a Midwifery degree when I was 8 weeks pregnant (with my 2nd baby). What was I thinking?!

Celen · 22/07/2015 16:29

So very sorry wonky, look after yourself x

Celen · 22/07/2015 16:30

Kitty I had that too with my last pregnancy, t'was bloody ridiculous! Had to do two different booking appts, was a real pain. And pre-birth I had MW appts from one area then post-birth, a different set of midwives. It was a ball ache. Angry

RM82 · 22/07/2015 16:41

So sorry Wonky Flowers xxx

Kittykitty05 · 22/07/2015 17:43

Not sure an early scan will help, I've had them before and still lost twice at 8+5, then last time had lots of reassurance scans only to loose him much later to a chromosome condition so in my mind I won't be reassured till I get good bloods, a good 12 week scan (tho heaven knows where that'll be done) and a good harmony. May even opt for cvs to make properly sure!

Hey everyone...!

Joining the March bus. Thanks BeautifulBatman for the tip ;)

Anyone in North London? I'm 7 weeks + 2 days and waiting for my first antenatal appointment at the Whittington in a week and scan on Aug 26th.

Wonky I am so sorry Thanks

((hugs))

dobbythedoggy · 22/07/2015 20:02

So sorry wonky, I hope you have the right sort of real life support around you at the moment.

After a horrific night last night I gave in a made a GPs appointment. Have been given some anti sickness drug. Doped up now but actually feeling thirsty and hungry which I haven't for almost two weeks. Although it's meant to be a right before bed thing, I was so desprate to stop throwing up this morning I took one as soon as I filled the prescription. Knocked me out for a good few hours and woke up starving.

Justnapping · 22/07/2015 20:15

Wonky I am so sorry

Justnapping · 22/07/2015 20:17

Thanks for all the welcomes ladies :-)

I have sore boobs! So happy! Looking for any signs. I am definitely going to book for a 8 week private scan, no way I can wait until 12 weeks.

Embolio · 22/07/2015 20:19

Ah wonky such sad news. I'm very sorry, take care of yourself Flowers

dobby fingers crossed the anti sickness drugs work well for you, feeling hungry must be a good sign!

Long day at work for me today, so so tired.

TeddyRuxpinsSmile · 22/07/2015 20:51

Been lurking- so, so sorry to hear that wonky, all the very best to you.x

May I tentatively join in please? I had an early mc last month so dates are approximate but I think I'm 4+1, so due date around 30th March. Am very paranoid and have been testing every 5 minutes...I guess that'll pass though, right?

I live in north London and have a little girl who's 14 months old.

So happy to be here with you all.

shieldbug · 22/07/2015 20:57

wonky so, so sorry. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a baby. The mc threads really helped me get through it, so perhaps you might like to take a look. Praying for you and your family. Make sure you take plenty of time off to grieve and recover physically; this is not one to "tough out".

Thanks to all for your support. I can report that I have a peanut with a heartbeat! I cried buckets out of sheer relief (most embarrassing!) and have been grinning inanely all day. Still haven't told people yet though.

Celen · 22/07/2015 21:05

Lovely news shieldbug very pleased for you!

Teddy welcome - I've stopped testing daily at 5 weeks...so now I'm just testing every few days Wink

Indomitable · 22/07/2015 21:06

Great news shieldbug!

Welcome Teddy

Glad the drugs are working dobby!
