Embolio · 22/07/2015 21:36

shield bug brilliant news!! So glad all was ok Smile.

Welcome Teddy

I'm having another exciting early night, 9.30 and I'm in bed! Rock n roll

Me624 · 22/07/2015 21:46

I am finding myself very short tempered. It's stress and hormones but I wish DH would cut me a bit of slack. We are ending up having arguments every night because I snap at something and he just won't let anything go and has to turn it into a fight Sad

Trinpy · 22/07/2015 21:53

Yay shield that's great news!

hello Teddy. I have a 15 month old who was conceived immediately after an early mc. I understand the constant testing. It does get easier week by week, I promise Smile .

lilmisshopeful · 22/07/2015 22:27

Welcome teddy!

Wonky I'm so sorry to hear your news. I've been through it myself like several others here and it is devastating. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to grieve and recover...hope you are being well looked after x

julesldn · 22/07/2015 22:28

So so sorry for your loss wonky ????????

Smallpickle - im currently in south London but moving back to north London soonish I think! It's my home so will probably be near you, possibly even the Whittington as well ????

Glad your sickness meds are working dobby!

Dreya · 22/07/2015 22:31

So sorry to hear your news Wonky. Sad Thanks Thanks

maybebabybee · 22/07/2015 22:45

Also in north London. Near Islington. Going to have baby at UCLH :)

Pannacott · 22/07/2015 22:52

Hello hello! I'd like to join you please :) I'm 4 weeks pregnant with my second, due 30th March. I already have one daughter who is 22 months old. I'm in east London. I'm finding this pregnancy ok so far, tho it is early days, but I'm already feeling pretty tired and have early morning waking insomnia. It took us ages to get pregnant this time, after it happening first time last time. I've been having investigations at the fertility clinic. I'm 36.

julesldn · 22/07/2015 23:38

Welcome pannacott Smile glad you're not feeling too bad so far!

Maybe - that's where I want to move! As near to islington as possible anyway, it's so nice there. Might have to message you nearer the time and get some info on where's good to live and things to do etc ????

BeautifulLiar · 23/07/2015 06:39

Welcome newbies Smile

I'm near Lincoln, in a lovely village.

I think if DH wasn't working away I'd be snapping at him too!

BeautifulLiar · 23/07/2015 06:40

Oh and Embolio - that actually is rock n roll to me! I've been going to bed at half 7 Blush

missnatalie · 23/07/2015 07:27

It's been such a long time since I posted on MN. At least 4 yrs!! Recently had a BFP and due in March Smile

SunnyL · 23/07/2015 08:16

I'm near Edinburgh.

I joined Mnet the last time i got pregnant and have ended up with some lovely friends through one of these ante natal groups. Hopefully this group will be another source of support (and inappropriate jokes)

maybebabybee · 23/07/2015 08:37

jules we won't be here for much longer after the baby is born, we are renting at the moment but our lease ends in april and after that we'll be buying outside of London. For what we could get for our money in London it's just not worth staying which is unfortunate as I am a born and bred Londoner. And we could never ever afford to buy in Islington or anywhere remotely near it, I have seen one bed flats in my neighbourhood costing £850,000!

still do PM me, it is a lovely area and happy to give any advice :)

QforCucumber · 23/07/2015 08:45

Morning All - Hope we are well, will update the spreadsheet if I get a spare 20 minutes today, was manic at work yesterday!

I'm in the North East and due to that a one bed flat at £850k has just almost made me have a heart attack maybe My suburban 3 bed detached house was £180k. It baffles me the difference in prices.

Exhausted today Sad and the picking arguments thing I can completely understand, DP can't work out why helping him write a best mans speech isn't the most pressing thing on my mind at the minute and says I don't care enough to help him and want him to fail?! seriously?!

Would like to be asleep right now and not in this freezinggggg cold office.

TeddyRuxpinsSmile · 23/07/2015 09:23

Ahhhh Islington. We used to live in Belsize Park, in Camden, which was amazing, but unbelievably some one beds cost almost a million there so up to palmers green we came :)

I am so tired all the time! I don't remember being this sick and tired so early on last time.

lilmisshopeful · 23/07/2015 09:24

Welcome pannacott!

I'm feeling beyond grim this morning. Could barely drag myself out of bed but then my 2 year old saw to that....she came in from her bedroom and emptied a box of crayons all over my face. Hint taken :-) I've plonked in front of cbeebies so I can veg on the couch.

Only one more day til our early scan so hopefully then we'll know either way whether the sickness is the good sign we hope it is. V cautious as we've had 3 mcs and had also started getting checked out for that.

Is anyone in South London?

lilmisshopeful · 23/07/2015 09:24

Oops! Plonked toddler in front of cbeebies!

maybebabybee · 23/07/2015 09:28

Qfor I know, it's absolutely ridiculous, and that's actually at the cheaper end of the spectrum round here. Even in the area we want to move to just outside London we are looking at 325k - 350k for a 3 bed house. Would be quite happy to move up north but unfortunately DP's job is really only available at the salary he's getting in London.

Sorry to derail the thread! Back to pregnancy stuff. This morning I cried because I was trying to pack my bag for work and my travelcard fell out of it onto the floor Blush

Rosieblossom123 · 23/07/2015 09:35

maybebabybee I was born and bred in London too but when my partner and I decided to buy we couldn't believe how expensive everything was :( so we decided to buy in Basingstoke, we needed a minimum of 2 beds as my partner already has a 4 year old son who's with us ever other weekend, so we bought a three double bedroom semi detached house for £200,000, you couldn't even get a studio flat for that price hahaha the area is lovely here too :) don't regret it at all!!

missnatalie · 23/07/2015 09:42

Morning everyone. I'm originally from Manchester. Moved to Wolverhampton when I met DH. We then emigrated to Australia and have been here for 2.5yrs. We've just finished building our own house and finally moved in about a month ago.
Hope everyone's pregnancies are going well. My sickness is just awful and the tiredness is on a whole other lever lol.

Kittykitty05 · 23/07/2015 09:50

Arghhh so the boy sleepover thing didn't go so well. I was cross at 12 and 1, at 2 I was up with the dog because even she was crying for sleep. At 3.30 I was an emotional, hormonal angry monster as I crashed into sons room. They shut up after my outburst!
Has made me wonder how I'll do going back to sleepless nights! I'd like to sleep today but hosting a bbq this evening. Must learn to say no!

You are brave kitty at the moment am so sick and exhausted I can just about get through the day mostly spent in bed .

Indomitable · 23/07/2015 10:13

The talk yesterday of continuing to POAS has filtered into my brain.

I stopped testing on Sunday after the digi was +ve. Mainly because I knew I'd panic if lines started to vary in strength. I've still got the same worry, but feel like I want to test again just to check.

I'm 4+6 today, which is the same time I first tested with DS and got a whopper of a +ve within seconds. If it doesn't come up as strong or as quickly, I'll worry. And there'll be nothing I could do about it.

marmitemofo · 23/07/2015 10:13

wow that's a good price for what you get Rosie, I live in reading and my (admittedly pretty large) three bed end of terrace was 300k two years ago... (and a recently valuation when our mortgage deal ended suggests its gone up in value by 50k in two years - madness). we ended up using a combination of inherited money and borrowing off parents to afford it otherwise on our salaries would have taken us years and years to save up a deposit. I think most people in the south east (particularly London) are massively priced out of the market these days. I have friends in south London who paid the same amount we did for a one bed flat. crazy.

sickness continues today, though still no other symptoms other than tiredness. am I the only one without sore boobs? starting to get a bit paranoid now....

DP is going away for a week to the US on Saturday with work. its his first time going away since DD was born so we're both not looking forward to it!
