Not started a new thread before, so I'll give it a go....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 17:23

Annoying isn't it!! Friend just said "I might be able to have them, but I might be moving house. Will let you know in a few weeks!" Errr the scan is in a few weeks?! Stressing now...

julesldn · 30/07/2015 17:32

Yes, very!!! Have you got any other friends or family that could do it? Or a babysitter/crèche type thing? I feel lucky I don't have to sort out someone to look after kids, it's hard enough as it is to get my bf to take the morning off work!

lilmisshopeful · 30/07/2015 17:33

Is anyone else craving foods you're not normally keen on? I thought it was a bit early for cravings, and I suppose it's not actual cravings as I don't just want to eat lots of one thing. But I'm really drawn to very simple basic stuff. Like beans on toast with lots of butter. I got a ham and coleslaw sandwich from M&S yesterday (normally don't like coleslaw) and honestly it was like the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Been day-dreaming about I ever since! Weird

lilmisshopeful · 30/07/2015 17:35

beautiful hopefully you can sort something out. Even if it means telling someone you're pg earlier than you'd like (or you could tell them you need to go out for another reason...that good old dental appointment ruse?!), then maybe a friend could help out?

Poppins27 · 30/07/2015 18:07

So sorry to hear that Kitty, your right life is bloody unfair sometimes!!

Congratulations on yours can too though Mrsrsw!!

Food wise, my appetite has completely changed, I crave bland and beige!! Haven't touched white bread in ages, apparently now I can't get enough, with plain crisps, plain pasta etc!! Meat is turning my stomach as is spice/garlic....???? (usually I would add chilli and garlic to everything to make it edible)

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 30/07/2015 18:19

So sorry to hear that, kitty. Life can be very cruel.

I am feeling horrific. Dreadfully sick, which is making me guess that this baby is a girl - I was really poorly with DD and less so with DS.

Not had a booking appointment yet, so no scan date anywhere on the horizon. I have to go to an 'early bird' meeting before I can have a booking appt, where I will get information about what to eat/avoid. Apparently having 2 DC already is not enough to get me out of it Hmm

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 18:21

Can't really think of anyone reliable enough to ask, or that won't be at work themselves!

Ugh don't really need any more complications!

Cravings aren't really hitting me as I'm off pretty much everything atm! Sad

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 18:23

Adora I will put money on it being a girl! I think this will be my third girl Smile DS is going to have this harem of sisters, god help him...

QforCucumber · 30/07/2015 18:41

adora I had to have one of those early bird appointments - it was the biggest waste of an hour of my life! But I got a sleep in before work that morning so not all bad I guess

I've juSt polished off a whole big bag of toffee popcorn, the only thing Ive wanted to eat all day - delicious.
oh beautiful how frustrating, could you call them and see what alternative appointments are available if any?

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 30/07/2015 18:53

I am definitely thinking girl, Beautiful. Congratulations on DC4. I am still trying to get my head around (hopefully) having 3! How old are your others?

Qfor I really thought I might get out of it! I feel so queasy that the thought of having to sit and talk about food etc when I know all the regs anyway makes me feel sick!

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 19:00

Q they only do scans on a Wednesday Hmm and apparently the Wednesday before was full. I was advised to ring the midwife to see if anything could be done, left a messge with her but then she was meant to text me yesterday re booking in appointment but never did! Toffee popcorn sounds gooood, I need Toblerone. But then I've gone off chocolate Shock must be pregnant!

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 19:02

Thanks, Adora and congrats on no 3. I love having three. They're 6, 4 and 2. So life is about to get interesting!

But I'm excited for when they're all older, too, and we can have games nights and pizza nights and Christmases. Smile

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 19:03

Oops, not that we don't celebrate Christmas now, haha!

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 19:04

Forgot to say... since last night my anti sickness tablets have gone missing!! So that's fucking brilliant...

julesldn · 30/07/2015 19:57

Poppins - im all over the bland beige food atm! Before I was pg I was all about brown rice, stir frys and salads. Now I'm pizza, pasta with butter, white bread, crisps..... It's awful! But hey, baby wants unhealthy so what's a girl to do! ????Grin

For those of you feeling rubbish and that haven't got anti sickness meds yet - I've taken them one day and can't recommend them enough! Felt human for the first time in 5 weeks. Bliss!

Lucy61 · 30/07/2015 20:11

Been a while since I've been on here, just moved house.... Can't believe how busy it is on here. Smile

This is an embarrassing question, but has anyone noticed that they are going for a poo more or less frequently? I'm going lots and I'm wondering if it's the pregnancy vitamins or just part of early pregnancy. I'm also quite 'blowy'.Blush

Sorry to be so gross.

BeautifulLiar · 30/07/2015 20:28

I think there should be a no TMI rule on here.

Lucy it's only just died down for me but I had loads of diarrhoea. In fact the other night I had to vomit bile mid-poo Blush so no, you're not the only one!

Aahhh don't say that Jules
.. I've got to find these tablets!!

shieldbug · 30/07/2015 20:36

Oh, kitty, so so sorry. Hope you are getting lots of support in rl. Make sure you take plenty of time to recover. Praying for you and your family at this awful time.

Lucy definitely going more frequently! I'm not eating more (in fact, probably less), so where's it all coming from??

Hello Londonlady hope the stitch has gone away now.

Jules My appt is on the 24th too; in March I had a 10 week scan booked (which I never made due to mc), but only a few months later, apparently they only do 12 week scans now!

dobbythedoggy · 30/07/2015 20:50

Booked in with the midwife today. The same one I had when I was pregnant with dd. She's just as lovely as I remember, and was rediculously proud of the fact dd bf for so long after all the help she gave me getting started. Altough I'd forgotten how much I dislike having my blood being taken, have been feeling very bruised all afternoon and keep knocking my arm.

Unless my mum cooks me something very bland I can't stomach much hot food. Completely off fruit and veg which is really unusual for me. Strangly able to eat crisps which I'd rarely touch, white bread when I only ever have brown or seeded. Also finding that I'm going through a fair amount of sweets in a day to keeping the awful taste in my mouth away; nornally not a sweet person, just like a bit of chocolate when I have pmt usually! Thinking about I'm not drinking plain water either, flavoured sparkling only. Wanted to cook some spagetti and stir through some sauce for dd's tea tonight, fancied some at about 4 too, but come tea time dd was being fed beans on toast.

Very pleased and proud my dad has sucesfully got a new job today! He got made redundant after 6 months from one of his part time jobs last month. Before getting that one he was out of work for over a year after being made redundant from his pervious job. He had a break down and did a very stupid thing, meaning he lost the first job he secured, so we've been really worried about him. But last week he got a two week a year job that pays well and now has a new secure job locally too!

julesldn · 30/07/2015 21:39

Lucy - im the reverse of you - so constipated I hate it!

Beautiful - oh no I hope you find them! If not get to the docs first thing tomorrow. Then lock them in your safe next to the heir looms and wads of cash where they belong!!!! ???? Only thing I'm wondering.. When to stop taking them without risking a day of sickness?!

Shield - so weird how dates change so quickly but glad I have a scan buddy Smile

Dobby - good news for your dad and your family!! Congrats! I've had a pizza for the second night running. Margherita (wild choice!) and also eating/drinking random stuff. Been getting through endless bottles of squash - usually I drink nothing other than water! So weird.

effie19 · 30/07/2015 21:51

Yes Lucy after suffering with constipation for years and eating all sorts of specific foods to try and sort it, I am now living on potato cakes but getting woken up in the middle of the night because I need to go! Was expecting even worse constipation so I guess it's a good thing if it could stop interrupting my sleep

Pannacott · 30/07/2015 21:55

Kitty so sorry to hear your news. I hope you get some answers and help to get your baby eventually, and I hope you have support and space to process what's just happened.

I'm also feeling a bit light on symptoms atm, bit concerned things aren't as they should be. Just have to wait and see. May try and get a private scan as I'm off to a festival next weekend and shall feel very bitter if I'm not drinking for no good reason.

I remember with DD I only wanted to eat beige bland kiddie food - variations of beans, cheese, toast, potatoes, pasta. I couldn't stand chicken, garlic or onions. My theory is it's your body sticking to food you ate as a kid, cos it didn't kill you then so probably safe for the developing baby. Now's the most vulnerable time.

BeautifulLiar · 31/07/2015 07:01

Good news dobby!

Jules, I found them under the bed!! Hmm stop at 12 weeks?!

Missdee2014 · 31/07/2015 09:52

Dreading the day ahead. We get my mums results so we will hopefully know by lunchtime exactly where her cancer is and what treatment she's going to be getting. Hopefully with an aim for it to start next week. I'm going on holiday tomorrow and should be looking forward to it but I'm not, absolutely dreading it. I've got animal allergies along with hayfever and I'm spending a week in a farm house along with 4 dogs and all the farm animals outside. This would normally be fine as I take anti allergy medication but gp and pharmacist have said not allowed Shock. Worried sick about leaving my mum, the one time in her life I really should be there for her and I'm swanning off on holiday. Both her and my dad are adamant we still go as the kids are really looking forward to it. I can't help but feel awful about it though.

Missdee2014 · 31/07/2015 09:54

Sorry for the depressive rant, just how I feel today and had to get it out ????
