Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Pud - yes that's normal :) practice contractions can start early on

Jelly start with one paracetamol and see how you go it will be fine

oneyorkshirepud · 16/07/2015 07:13

Thanks La, so I'm not squishing the baby when it happens?! Preggo paranoia

Ooh La and Dulcet having a birth-off! Wink La as you've technically been contracting since yesterday I reckon when you do go it will be fairly quick for you. Gx!!

LaLaLaaaa · 16/07/2015 07:20

I've been contracting since last Friday but so has dulcet. I've had to get up because I feel too sore and sick but there is nothing major happening.

so tired - want it to just get on and get over with. Due to see doctor after scan so will see what they say

LaLaLaaaa · 16/07/2015 07:21

No squishing :) - baby well protected

CountryGal4 · 16/07/2015 07:29

Oo imminent babers!! La and dulcet eeee!!

In other news I've woken up this morning and my nips are on FIRE

Purpleball · 16/07/2015 08:00

Morning viroids

Gx for some babies today Smile

Toast, work should be providing you somewhere to rest if you need it. The only thing that gets me through the day is a lunchtime nap. Not having a seat to eat your lunch is ridiculous. Ask HR for a risk assessment. They should have done one anyways

batfish · 16/07/2015 08:01

Yep pud tis normal! Bit alarming though when it first happens! It happens to me randomly as well and doc says it is Braxton Hicks (I didn't tell him about the shagging bit just the random occurrences) - apparently starts as early as 6 weeks but we don't feel it until later, I've been getting it for quite a few weeks.

Aww toast sorry you're feeling rubbish, sounds like you are really suffering you poor thing Sad

TotallyAnonymousUsername · 16/07/2015 08:05

Congratulations fleur!

Sorry you're ill jelly. Colds are rubbish when you can't take anything. Lots of hot drinks and paracetamol and steam inhalation if your nose is stuffy might help.

toast sorry work is rubbish, La is totally right, you should soak to them about the risk assessment.

dulcet that does sound like it might be waters, GX for you!

I had my gp appointment yesterday, got my notes pack to fill in, they're punk if anyone is interested Grin Now i have to call and make a midwife appointment.

LaLaLaaaa · 16/07/2015 08:22

Jelly if you have blocked nose I can recommend the calpol saline nasal spray - really helped me through this pg and it's safe to use. You're not allowed Vicks or similar

Lookingforadvice123 · 16/07/2015 08:32

Ooh congrats fleur! Looking forward to seeing a pic.

bat I agree pelvic floor exercises feel so weird at first but you soon get into them and they feel normal - I started mine this week, if you drive to work a good tip is to do them in the car! Especially when you're stopped at traffic lights (which there are loads of on my way to work!).

jelly paracetamol is fine isn't it, I'm sure that's the "rules"? I've taken two of them three mornings in a row this week as I've been waking up with headaches so I hope they're ok! It did help if I took it as soon as I woke up so would recommend, plus they help you sleep Flowers feel better

ChatEnOeuf · 16/07/2015 08:43

Ooh Dulcet! Call in, hope this is it for you.

DD fed until 14m - also struggles to let go of it. Understands that mummy's milk is for when you're little, though I reckon we could have had some big jealousy issues there.

DulcetMoans · 16/07/2015 08:45

Oh no, not the nips of fire country! Is it worse with a bra on or is the support helping?

Sounds like a rough time at work toast, do you think they would be a bit flexible with your work or hours? If you have holiday to use before may leave maybe you can do shorter weeks by taking one or two days off a week for a few weeks?

Hopefully you can eggy some more info on your scan la. Not long to wait. Is DH going with you!

So I am going out on a limb and saying we will have a baby in the next 48hrs. DH has gone to work though, didn't want to keep him home in case I am wrong but no idea when I ring him to get him home. Would probably take him 40mins.

So, question now is what do I do with my potential last day without baby? Housebound though, I'm going no where! I mainly mean what film shall I watch!

LaLaLaaaa · 16/07/2015 08:45

Paracetamol is fine, it's recommended you take 1 at a time and if that doesn't work you can take a 2nd.

Kegel app is brill it reminds me 7 times a day to do pelvic floors

gaggiagirl · 16/07/2015 08:51

dulcet watch something emotional to set your hormones off? Are you 41weeks today? Not long to go.

jelly stay in bed. Colds are so much worse when you cant medicate.

LaLaLaaaa · 16/07/2015 08:56

Get nipple twiddling dulcet! Very exciting that baby's nearly here!

I would phone him to come home as soon as you start getting pattern in the contractions. You need him there to time them and you'll have better idea of how quickly you're progressing. But that's just a suggestion, I have no superior knowledge on it! Grin

I'm off for a walk just now to shake baby out a bit. Cramps are sore when I try to do anything but if I sit still I'm fine so I think this isn't much to write home about. MiniLa wriggling away so obviously quite happy. Got scan at 12 and seeing doctor then too. I'd like to find out if there's anything I can do to progress the mini contractions as I'm getting v tired through not sleeping. Sweep in morning if nothing's happening.

WilHarlot · 16/07/2015 09:09

Ooooh it's getting exciting in here. Failing to keep up on holiday - any word from Fleur yet?

jellypi3 · 16/07/2015 09:12

Thanks everyone. I took a paracetomol after forcing down some food, it seems to have taken the edge off the headache.

dulcet that's great, hope you are right :)

la thanks for the tip. At the moment I'm sniffing at hot water. I should probably get dressed and get something else but haven't the energy!

looking I'm sure paracetomol is fine I'm just a bit funny about taking things in the first 12 weeks but as la says if it's one at a time it's fine

batfish · 16/07/2015 09:15

The app sounds good la but are the reminders obvious? Don't really want my male colleague who I sit next to to see my phone flashing bright red and shouting pelvic floor at me! But if subtly reminders I will give it a go. Does it tell you how many to do and for how long and everything? I have no idea what I'm supposed to do!

SecondCupOfTea · 16/07/2015 09:15

Toast that sounds a bit shit at work Sad

Dulcet sounds like progress, gx

La Not sure what else you can do. Pineapple?

Jelly Whenever I have a cold I make fresh ginger tea (or use bags if that is all I have). Hope you feel better soon anyway.

I'm feeling rather smug and virtuous this morning as I got up at 6.30 and went swimming I know, I know, it'll never last

Purpleball · 16/07/2015 09:34

Ooh it is getting exciting in here

Dulcet get twiddling those nips
La hope the walk jiggles minila into action

Stabby boobs are awful! I sometimes get them at night and a sleep bra is the only thing that helps. During the day, I don't know what to suggest

Jelly hope you feel better soon

I have taken paracetamol occasionally. I try a bottle of water for headaches first as it quite often sorts it. I had to take cocodamol twice in the early days for migraine. Fortunately I've not had one in ages touch wood

RhiannonElward · 16/07/2015 09:43

Dulcet this will very likely be your last day without baby, if that is your waters then you have 24 to 48 hours. Eeeeek! While you can leave dp in work until much later, I would personally phone him to come back as soon as you feel like you want him around. Labour is an endurance thing and you get to be demanding and have what you want, not just what you need. I'd call in and see what your midwife says but it sounds like waters to me :) Good luck and we're here if you need us.

La love you, you must be shattered. Even if you can't sleep make some time to relax, have a soak in the bath or put some relaxing music on and have a doze. Once you've done that get that baby out, although telling a pregnant lady to run up and down stairs sideways seems like a health and safety issue so I'll stop short of that. Bounce like you've never bounced before insteadGrin Thinking of you Flowers

Jelly hope you feel better soon, sounds like a throat infection to me so the paracetamol will help and you don't need to feel bad about taking it. It's important to look after yourself and early pregnancy is shit enough on its own.

Toast your employers are being very inconsiderate if you aren't getting to sit down for lunch. Talk to someone and get something done about that. It's in their interests to take care of you, or you'll end up needing time off sick and they'll be paying.

teejayem · 16/07/2015 09:45

Ooh dulce that sounds like waters! Let me get my Thursday Pom poms out!
Hope you app goes okay la - you could always refuse to leave hosp until you have a baby?..... Like going on strike but not. This is so exciting!

Talking shit, sleep deprived and I've got the dentist at 11.. Finally got round to getting the tooth I cracked when pg fixed. Oh, and it's frigging agony - been eating seedy bread for fibre and one of the seeds has jammed itself into the crack. Waaaaah.

RhiannonElward · 16/07/2015 09:48

Oh tee toothache is the most horrible thing, glad you're getting it sorted :)

LaLaLaaaa · 16/07/2015 09:56

Wil - minifleur arrived yesterday! Still waiting to hear if boy/girl, she popped on to say all ok but she's obviously v tired

Tee - good luck at the dentist! I hear you! My gums have been wrecked since getting pg. I floss every day but there are big welts on them and I can't take any bonjela for it. As soon as baby's out I'll be down dentist

Went for walk round the park - it was really nice actually and cleared my head. Definitely stuff going on but again unless it progresses I'm not getting excited. Looked at bishops score in mat notes from yesterday and it's v low. Hopefully will be better tomorrow.

Kind of hoping doctor will just say 'oh here's a magic solution to make baby suddenly pop out!' But that's not very realistic! Had a good cry at midwife yesterday just because I'm so tired.

Jelly - seriously girl why you getting up!? Bed!

Bat - PFEI app is completely subtle. It pops up with wee reminder at top of phone and you have to then click on that to activate app. I have sound off and it just does count of squeeze followed by rest, for 1 minute, 6-7 times a day. No one knows I'm doing it.

Rhi the stair thing is really hard! I keep tripping over Grin

RPopz · 16/07/2015 10:01

Oooh Dulcet did you ring in?? That definitely sounds like waters... they are never ending! Exciting! Watch some comedy Grin

Sympathies La - this long drawn out early labour is typical for the first time I think. Must be so frustrating. Bath sounds like a good idea. Hope the scan goes well x

Ga - miniGa is such a legend!!
