Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Oh god it's all class and glamour this pregnancy lark....

Still no news from my womble. This little one is seriously comfy where he/she is. 10 days until due date.

Been swimming this morning and going for a walk shortly to m & s food - the cashiers know me in there now Grin

Viroids - what are your thoughts on driving at this stage of pregnancy? Someone said to DH that I shouldn't be driving?!?! Is this right? The only issues I have is being able to twist round to reverse park and twunts parking too close to my door for me to squeeze into the car range rover driver in gym car park I am looking at you

Jcandy · 10/07/2015 09:25

Yeah jelly it really is! I keep thinking I'm about 14 weeks but no! It's just the same as you being almost 11, where has the time gone!

That's so annoying fleur it's annoying anyway but especially so when you can't squeeze through

SecondCupOfTea · 10/07/2015 09:50

Ga how sweet, that made me Grin

Like some of the other newbies, I feel like I've had a bit of a wobble over the last day or so. I keep wanting reassurance that I'm not making it up, especially as some of my symptoms had reduced. My ultra-excessive weeing has now returned to my usual excessive weeing levels, and my burping has reduced to what DP would describe as, "normal for you". Probably doesn't help that DP wasn't here last two nights (stayed at friends due to tube strike). I am however still bloated with huge knockers. I'm not sure if the hooyahs carry over onto this thread, but I poas this morning to reassure myself Hmm

I had an odd moment this week. I had to go for physio (involved in an accident a while back, still having some physio), so I told him I was pregnant, and he asked whether I wanted a boy or girl. I was totally stumped. It had honestly not crossed my mind Shock Now I've always thought 'yeah right' to those who say they don't mind what they have, but I've realised that really I don't mind what I have. As long as it's human and healthy and preferably small in case it comes out the front door I really don't care.

As if to emphasise the whole surreal element of this, as I was leaving the physio place and going home, I suddenly thought, "OMG, what have I done? I've just made up something in my head and said it out loud. I've told him I'm pregnant, when I'm not. Oh hang on...yes I am" Confused

Morning viroids.

La, these are all good signs, when are you due?

Congrats on BFP Thursday!

honey as a mc survivor it will be very hypocritical of me to tell you try not to think about it, so I'm offering a [hand squeeze]

Happy belated EDD Dulcet!

Speaking of due dates, my waters broke on my EDD but as it was 10pm, DS arrived the next day.

On the induction subject...

The risks of going beyond 42 weeks is that placenta starts to deteriorate so the risk of stillbirth starts to increase. It goes up from something like 2 in 10 000 to 3 in 10 000 at 42 weeks and keeps increasing further every week after that. Which in % terms is 0.02% to 0.03%... I don't remember the exact numbers but it's something along those lines. This is based on a study done in 50s. So unless you already have placental issues like Totally the risks are really small.

Sometimes however you can't really refuse induction (or rather, you wouldn't) eg if your waters break but labour doesn't start because the risks of infection are quite real. But then again different hospitals have different policies - some will induce you after 24h while others are happy to wait 48.

The risks of induction are obviously that it's an intervention that may lead to further interventions so higher risk of instrumental deliveries or an EMCS. Also your body might not even respond to drugs, again meaning EMCS (happened to my colleague, but she had a successful VBAC with her 2nd). Higher risks of foetal distress too I think.

Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional and all of the above is based on my personal research.

Sorry for the essay again. I don't quite have time to catch up regularly at the moment...

I'm starting to feel queasy Confused nausea only started at 7-8w with DS, and as much as it's reassuring, I'd rather not have it...

Indigoblue2 · 10/07/2015 10:25

Ooh carrot you are a better researcher than me!! Thanks for that. I had heard the study was really old but didn't know if that was true or not or if there had been further ones done that backed up the findings.

WilHarlot · 10/07/2015 10:31

Fleur that's crap. I drove about 40 miles the night before I went into labour. As long as you're not driving in labour, you're fine.

SecondCupOfTea · 10/07/2015 10:49

NFMA - Finally had a normal poo this morning, hurray for prunes! Grin

Purpleball · 10/07/2015 10:55

I think the rules on driving that you can still perform any emergency manoeuvre like stop if a child ran out.
People parking too close are pissing me off I'm the size of a whale don't they know

Hope people aren't pissing you off with the have you had the baby comments la, dulcet and Fleur - it would drive me mad Angry

JC I can't believe you're 18 weeks already. Where does the time go! Hope you have a lovely holiday.

Anyone heard from Bat lately?

Off to parenting classes tomorrow with DH, then going to order my pram with mum Smile. Exciting times Smile

CountryGal4 · 10/07/2015 11:19

thurs having a melodramatic wobble too. I don't have any symptoms at all and didn't before. Except for being really hot. Up until today I've been unbearably warm . Today I'm really cold. I'm a bit spooked. I was doing ok and just not thought about it but today I'm freaking the fuck out. Im really not sure what to do with myself or brain.

Tea feel your pain. Haven't been properly in a while Sad

CarrotPuff · 10/07/2015 11:32

How do I edit stats sheet on iPad? Do I need an extra app for that?

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 11:47

I use the "sheets" app from the Google office suite.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 12:40
Envy
CarrotPuff · 10/07/2015 12:52

Thanks honey. I've downloaded it and in it it allows me to edit sheets that I've opened on my laptop before, ie the JSing sheet. But it wouldn't allow me to edit this one and it doesn't appear on there...

pretzelpieces · 10/07/2015 13:23

Feeling slightly less sick today and hopeful it might ever tail off Smile

Grin Thursday yes shades of grey slightly different to 50sog. I guess you could still fap to it if you wanted to...

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 13:50

Pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and efficiency of my doctors receptionist today Smile. I'm on the booking in list.

Feels very real. I'm still half expecting to see AF when I go to the loo - I'm well aware how illogical that it!

jellypi3 · 10/07/2015 13:54

I just devoured scampi for lunch before remembering i'm not supposed to eat it....whoops

Fleurchamp · 10/07/2015 13:59

What's wrong with scampi jelly?

I am glad that the tennis is on, but what on earth am I going to do next week? I will be bored! I assumed minifleur would be here by now Confused I was convinced I would have him/her this week - all the babies in my family are early. This was not the deal......

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 14:02

I think scampi is fine jelly. In fact, just scooching through some reading material as you do, I came across a page on babycentre that says even mussels and other shellfish is ok so long as it's well cooked.

I'm rejoicing Grin

The Ashes don't tempt you Fleur?

gaggiagirl · 10/07/2015 14:03

purple I 'saw' bat on Wednesday on the October bus, she's fine.

DulcetMoans · 10/07/2015 14:03

Opposite reaction here fleur - when will the tennis stop?! Two channels all day is just greedy. I watch a lot of shit though. Currently catching up with the arranged marriage programme from last night.

Why can't you have scampi jelly?

That feeling of checking every toilet trip will last ages thursday. We are doing it now too, looking for plug!!

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 14:09

oh yeah, blood in the beginning, plug at the end and piles all the way through the middle - someone remind me again why I'm excited about this???

jellypi3 · 10/07/2015 14:18

ah fair enough, my DP has said no shellfish at all because if i take the risk i'm a bad parent lol! yay for me

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 14:18

NFMA: It's not been pretty today. Euggh.

I ate spaghetti hoops and sausages. No toast, just that. It was delicious.

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 14:19

Man, he's either real brave or real stupid...

Fleurchamp · 10/07/2015 14:24

dulcet we don't have sky Sad so no cricket for me. I have also been keeping up with the Tour de France highlights but maybe I'll have to start watching the whole thing??

I do have Netflix though - I am not one for TV so, ladies, a list of decent box sets? Orange is the new black - any good? I daunted by the ones with double digit "seasons".
