Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

That is a brave man jelly! Cooked seafood is fine.

No sky here either fleur, just catch up channels. In theory we have Netflix but DH hasn't set it up Hmm. I know OITNB is very popular on here!

Fleurchamp · 10/07/2015 14:49

Are our husbands one and the same? Grin we have had Netflix for months but DH has only just got around to setting it up on the TV!

jellypi3 · 10/07/2015 15:06

OITNB is awesome Fleur! Also recommend House of Cards if you like drama, Sense 8 if you like supernatural-ish stuff, and then there's the classics like Dexter, 24, Lost, Prison Break etc etc.

Archer is a cartoon but it's hilarious if you like family guy style humour.

LaLaLaaaa · 10/07/2015 15:08

Viroids I don't feel well. I've got what feels like diarrhoea pain and when I think I need toilet I go and nothing comes. I'm presuming I'll know difference between this and contractions when they happen?

OP posts:
Indigoblue2 · 10/07/2015 15:14

Ooh la sorry I can't be of much help but sounds promising if not much fun? Maybe some of our other viroids will be more use. Does sound like things are gearing up though!

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 15:14

I'm sure you will La - I believe from what friends have told me that it can build up from the kind of pain you're describing

Exciting times! Are you ok? Are you alone? If you're in any doubt ring your MW

Fleurchamp · 10/07/2015 15:20

Aargh, la I am dusting off the Pom poms Grin

Thanks jelly I shall make a list Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 10/07/2015 15:31

Don't get too excited just yet, could just be due to the heat!

Feel sicky and like I'm bit hungover, diarrhoea pain but no diarrhoea. Had a bath and feel a bit better

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 15:32

finger combs through her pom poms

Gx La!

SecondCupOfTea · 10/07/2015 15:47

Oh La Grin

dashes off realising she doesn't own any pompoms

WilHarlot · 10/07/2015 15:50

La I wasn't really sure my contractions were the real deal when they started - it's different for everyone. You will know the difference when the mega ones start but early labour can be confusing. Honestly, it could be early labour or it could be nothing. Any downward pressure or discomfort down below different to what you have felt before?

LaLaLaaaa · 10/07/2015 15:54

Downward pressure yes but have had that before tbh. Just as long as it'll be obvious when it's actually a contraction that's fab.

OP posts:
Purpleball · 10/07/2015 16:17

La I've no idea but hope you're feeling ok

Jelly, I've eaten shellfish all along but only in restaurants I trust - didn't risk the stuff on the harbour on holiday

Eggs are fine to be runny if lion stamped according my MW

The jury is out on steak. My MW said its fine to eat rare steak as long as it's sealed so I have. Others have been told different.

I've had the odd small glass of wine, others have too, others have abstained.

I have told DH that he's not the food police and he doesn't get to tell me what I can and can't eat. I'm not putting the baby at risk. TBF he only mentions if it's something that will send my sugar up and he gets told to mind his own, I'm an adult!

jellypi3 · 10/07/2015 16:26

Ooo i can't help but get excited la :)

Purple thanks for the advice. I keep pointing him to the NHS website, but he's just paranoid I think. His view is that doing anything that might risk the baby is a risk too much, even if that risk is 0.000000001%. I can see his logic in it (he's a very science-based person) but I guess I'm just a bit more relaxed about it. I've totally shunned steak, cut down on tuna, refused all booze, and so far avoided all shellfish. It was only in the work canteen they had scampi and I went for it without even thinking. Seeing as they cater for around 2000 people a day I would say they are going to make sure the food is cooked.

I just won't tell him about the scampi mishap today! He's cooking me a nice dinner when I get home, so I can't be too mad :)

WilHarlot · 10/07/2015 16:26

Well that's what I mean, I don't think I did find it obvious at first, not until I was at the swearing level.

The night before I went in labour I felt very uncomfy like their had been a switch in position, and a pressure I hadn't felt before. I think early contractions are kind of like period/poo pains though. I spent an hour unsure whether I was in labour or not. Mind you I'm a bit thick Wink .

WilHarlot · 10/07/2015 16:28

As is obvious by my misspelling of 'there' Blush .

CarrotPuff · 10/07/2015 16:33

la contractions are like a wave - you get a pain that builds up then peaks and then dies off again. You could try to time them and see if there's any pattern. How exciting, gl!

Btw I found how to fix the spreadsheet issue and added myself to the sheet!

Fleurchamp · 10/07/2015 17:09

jelly my theory is anything that is deep fried is "safe" - surely no bugs could survive that temperature?

totally uses this excuse for eating chip shop chips on a regular basis

Indigoblue2 · 10/07/2015 17:20

TMI ALERT!!!
I've just started the "stretching" exercises with my Epi-No BlushBlush My starting width is a healthy 6.5cm.. More than I was expecting! Stretch did sting a little but totally doable and I was able to cruise FB throughout.. Dunno whether to be pleased or upset. Only 3.5cms away from babyheadsize but on the downside have I already got a bucket fanny?? ConfusedConfused

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 17:23

LOL! Indigo, that's hilarious!

DulcetMoans · 10/07/2015 17:28

That sounds perfect for this though indigo! I kind of want to know what size my bits can stretch too now!

We won't tell him jelly! Like fleur said, it's deep fried so sure you are fine. Understand him being worried, hopefully he will relax into it as the weeks pass and let you eat prawns if you like. I haven't had a few bits because I wasn't sure and is not that hard not too. Do what makes you feel comfortable.

Midwife has been and gone. No sweep but planned one for next Thursday. Both DH and MW have decided that Sunday would be convenient for baby to come so working towards that now.

TotallyAnonymousUsername · 10/07/2015 17:45

Oh la sounds promising. If you're unsure do call a midwife and check. With dd i definitely started like that. They did get noticably more painful after that although not so painful that the antenatal midwives noticed until i told them i thought i needful to push everyone's labour is different, and some people do have relatively painless labours.

RhiannonElward · 10/07/2015 17:55

La this is exciting! Eeeep! Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 10/07/2015 17:55

Hello! Catching up properly now, after my very selfish interjection with questions about poo pain and contractions earlier!

Feel better after a lie down, a bath and a sit out in the garden in the shade. Got a lot of same thing dulcet described - pushing down feelings, bit like the draggy pain you get day before af. Just feels heavy and uncomfortable. Going to keep carb loading, drinking water and resting in case anything happens, but I'm not getting my hopes up!

How's everyone?

toast I noticed on the stats sheet you said you were going to find out flavour, but it doesn't say what - did you find out in the end?

Anyone wanting to update stats - you need to be on a PC/laptop to do it, it doesn't work on phone/tablet. If you can't get to one let one of us know and we can do it for you.

Also newbies if you want to join Fbk group PM me your email address and I'll stick you on. It's totally secret, no one can see what you post there.

gaggia love your DD! She's very funny :) What does she think about the new baby? How did the solicitor go?

JC you sound busy but great and much better after being ill so long!

dulcet you're totally right that Google says everything is bloody labour! I'm just going to wait til I see a head and then go to hospital...just kidding... sort of

fleur I'm still driving myself about and haven't been told not to!

tea you will have wobbles and we'll get you through them don't worry! I had massive one at about 7 weeks beccause I wasn't feeling sick. MS hit like a tidal wave at 7.5 weeks and I felt very silly as a result! I then panicked about symptoms disappearing just before my 12 week scan, but it was all fine. You're still in early days and getting used to the idea, try not to worry.

carrot due on Tuesday officially but my dates have always been iffy because I never had break between MC and this pregnancy, so they've said could come any time.

My friend messaged me this morning asking have I had baby yet. I replied saying 'yes, had it the other day but forgot to tell anyone' Grin

Which pram you getting purple?

Crotch-watch doesn't stop for a while I'm afraid viroids! I did it right up to about 20 weeks, then it's started again in past few weeks looking for the plug! Pregnancy = 'magical time'

Shellfish is fine if cooked through properly, but as the others say judge it yourself whether you trust the premises e.g. probably not ideal in a dodgy curry house!

Box sets:

OITNB
The Killing
The Returned (amazing!)
How I Met Your Mother
Broadchurch
Jane the Virgin
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (v.funny)
Suits
Elementary
The Good Wife

I'll think of some more. My dh has a server with them all on and our computer automatically downloads new stuff when it's shown in america. Very clever, no idea how it works!

wil you are not thick!

indigo PMSL at 'have I got a bucket fanny?' - this contraption sounds scary as fuck to me personally. I had a go with my buzzy pal last night, to see if orgasms bring on labour! If I am in fact going into labour then consider the experiment successful! If not then oh well.

I'm a bit scared of the sweep dulcet, got mine booked in for Wed if this baby hasn't arrived by then.

ChatEnOeuf · 10/07/2015 18:19

Epic catch-up there La, glad things have settled down. Contractions tend to come and go, they can be in front or back. I knew it was labour but not how advanced - early labour for me seems to pass in the blink of an eye.

Induction for post-dates: controversial in some circles but I am all for it. As mentioned, the placenta is more and more likely to fail as time goes on, and placental failure is implicated in about 30% of stillbirths. The stillbirth rate is quite high here compared to (for example) Norway, Sweden and co. - it's 1:220-240 depending on the exact definition used. One in three of those are 37 weeks or more. For some reason or another this has become an area I know a shit-tonne about...and for obvious reasons, I wouldn't turn down any intervention that reduced the risk.
