Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Hello viroids! Who's done a baby then? I've been finding life with two little people pretty manic so haven't really been mumsnetting but wanted to poke my head in here and wave a Pom Pom or two. La!! You're nearly there. Woop! Hope you're not all melting in the heat. Must be hard being preggo though breast feeding is a pretty sweaty affair too!! Off to bed I go. Oh for 4 hrs sleep in a row... Pleeeeze.

LaLaLaaaa · 09/07/2015 22:04

Splodge hi!!!!!! Lovely to see you!

Wil don't feel bad - a year's not that long! This person who messaged me yesterday I last spoke to in 2006! And she didn't chat afterwards, just said 'cheers'

Hiiiiii, busy day on the Fred then! Had a big read, interesting to hear about induction. So if the reasons 'for' are placenta deteriorating, massive baby, broken fanjo, and sheer discomfort at 40+12 or whenever, what are the reasons 'against' induction?

www.pillsbury.com/recipes/pepperoni-pizza-cake/a39070fb-2d1a-462c-a557-5876909c247c

So did that work?

Bread sauce YES. ANd Christmas Day tea of sandwich with Turkey, bread sauce, cranberry sauce, and grannies apricot and nut stuffing. Nope, not waiting til Boxing Day! Oh I want now...

Welcome Thursday! Though the appearance of all you new grads makes me feel further up the stats list...I am 13th maybe? Can't find the stats list from the app. Don't tell me though, still living in ignorance.

Dream genii was good, I did throw it out at 4 am but I do that with my extra pillows anyway so on balance I'll carry on with it because I spent ££ on it and will bloody well get my money's worth

Yoga was great. Had a proper hormonal meltdown earlier this eve about cars and car seats but feel nice and chilled again now. It's a bit hippy at times but there's only 4 of us who go and we got a cuppa and a nice chat at the end.

La! Careful with the heavy petting! Don't do any more damage, you need an intact fanjo to push a baby out surely?

Dulcet! Happy due date! What cake did you bake?

honeysucklejasmine · 09/07/2015 22:19

Argh! There are about 500 threads in active right now about mmc!

I will not worry. I will not worry. I will not worry.

Toast85 · 09/07/2015 22:30

Honey, if everyone who had a successful 12 week scan without a mmc posted a thread there would be millions. But the scary stories get posted about, not all the normal pregnancies apart from us but we're spesh innit

Bad things happen but reading about them/not reading about them won't change the outcome. In the words of dory, who is very wise, 'Just keep swimming' and you will get past this particular fear! Of course there are plenty more things to fear but we won't talk about those yet. And we're all here to distract you with talk of scones and Christmas dinners.

LaLaLaaaa · 09/07/2015 22:34

Couldn't have said it better toast! Honey people rarely post the success stories. Try to stay positive lovely

pretzel yes I love that book!
A good Fforde Fan joke is imagining people who thought they ordered 50 SofG getting Shades of Grey instead Grin

Thank you much for all the welcomes, I'm so happy to be here Thanks

honeysucklejasmine · 09/07/2015 22:51

Right. Had a shag. Distracted. Going to sleep and stay calm. You are of course 100000% correct.

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2015 22:59

Well it looks like I won't be having a baby one my due date. I am not in the 5%!

Hey splodge! Hope you do get more than 4hrs sleep!

It was a toffee cake toast but it's untouched as we went out for dinner. Against induction would be that main point that, with scans being so inexact, you might not be as over as they think and just a need more time. Induction can often lead to longer labours and can be more painful. Hormone induced labour can lead to you having issues with contractions where there is no break between them - like hyper contractions. Any intervention has risk - it's whether that risk is worse than just wait and see.

Don't let that panic you honey! In the same way that other people's fertility does not affect yours with TTC, the progress of other people's pregnancies don't affect you either - it means nothing to the odds that your will MC. Don't read them!

NCT group are a bit freaked out as all out local birthing options were full last week so closed and shipped labouring women off to nearby hospitals! Another thing to worry about!

Toast85 · 10/07/2015 05:58

Ah ok thanks dulcet. Toffee cake sounds nice! So does going out for dinner! Btw seeing as I can't get on mumsnet during the day to check for updates, I am now convinced I'm going to check back in after work one day to news of a mini dulcet, I don't know which day (today????) but, in my head, it'll all go from nothing to baby in just a few hours. So gx for short and sweet labour and I hope that I haven't now jinxed it

LaLaLaaaa · 10/07/2015 06:31

Morning!

Pud my specific fitness class is only available in my area as it was started by a lady who was frustrated that there was nothing available when she was pregnant. But there must be equivalents all over the place. It's called fit mummy

Google antenatal fitness and see what comes up in your area. I love it because it's totally relaxed, no one gives a shit what they look like or how good they are and we have very amusing chats before and after, it's a bit like being on this thread sometimes!

The instructor is trained in antenatal and postnatal exercise and targets safely the aspects that will help most for healthy labour and then afterwards getting your core strength and fitness back

Gaggia - cracking summary!

Country - no my dh only came to scans

Jelly can you watch or umpire so you're still involved? I had to give my horse up when I got pregnant, still makes me sad :(

Toast I hug my dream genii. Dh says I love it more than him certainly do after yesterday's fanjo wreckage

Been awake off and on with draggy period style cramps. Very mild but uncomfortable. Have gone now though

Oh hell, I've just realised that I've got a half marathon to run just at the end of the first trimester.
And I entered the ballot for the London marathon - so by the law of sod I'll probably get in wont I?!

Hope everyone is well this morning?
All the newbs feeling pukey?
All the 30+ weekers feeling impatient?

TotallyAnonymousUsername · 10/07/2015 07:12

Oooh la that sounds promising. Could go on a while yet though. Still, it's all getting ready.

pretzel with each intervention the risk of other interventions is higher, so for eg more likely to need more pain relief with associated side effects/monitoring therefore lying still/forceps etc or emcs in the end to get baby out. I've just remembered the thing to look for is bishops score, if its high you're more likely to have a successful induction. I can't remember exactly what's in it, you'll have to Google.

Thursday i was totally getting anxious yesterday because i didn't feel sick anymore. Then i nearly threw up my mange tout because of the texture. Strangely reassuring Hmm

DulcetMoans · 10/07/2015 07:28

The bishops score! That's it! Thanks totally, could not remember the name of it at all!

I'll take your premonition as a good sign toast, maybe it will be quick. I get most my discomfort in the evenings, not sure if that means anything but could be more likely to happen over night!

Hopefully it's something la, get your boy on his way out. I have been having pushing a and tightening a and all sorts for days now though so not sure when it actually becomes a thing!

You can always defer if you get a marathon place thursday. Not sure I would fancy a half marathon at that stage though! My running stopped pretty quickly after BFP but I've had breathing issues. I did a 10mile race the day before my BFP in a bit of a disappointing time (although not awful) and I haven't done a race since. Probably stopped running completely by 10 weeks tops. Doesn't have to be that way though - one of my friends ran all the way through! See how you feel nearer the time.

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 07:33

Ah yes the deferral - good thinking Dulcet. My inspiration is a poster on the running/parkrun threads who ran all the way through her recent pregnancy. With DS there was no way I could work, run and be pregnant, but I'm hoping being a SAHM will help a bit this time. Breathing issues sounds pretty terrifying!

WilHarlot · 10/07/2015 07:47

Those cramps sound interesting La. How are you feeling now?

LaLaLaaaa · 10/07/2015 07:48

Tired and fed up - cramps are sort of there but nothing exciting

Morning viroids.
Todays activity is going to the solicitors...but I'm supposed to be at work....but I haven't told them about house purchase....aaaaarrgghhhh....
I was staring at DD this morning, cos I love her and she said "mammy what's wrong with your face, is it stuck?" Charming.

Jcandy · 10/07/2015 07:59

Morning everyone!

thursday hopefully you can keep up your running, they say exercise is supposed to help with symptoms but just don't push yourself too far or overdo it.

Ooo la and dulcet it's so close for you now. I'm reading with interest to try and learn all the symptoms, it's like symptom spotting all over again!

Last day visiting my friend in Essex then off to a wedding reception tonight then a birthday party tomorrow then our 'holiday' visiting friends in South Wales on Sunday. Busy busy for me!

ThursdayLast · 10/07/2015 08:06

Jcandy v busy! I hope you're at a stage where you don't have to pretend that you're taking antibiotics or something to allay suspicion? That could get exhausting at so many events!

DulcetMoans · 10/07/2015 08:19

It is like symptom spotting again JC! Not sure you can learn much from me and la at the moment as we don't know what is happening either! Google will still tell you that everything means you are in labour, like googling if you are pregnant!

The kid is switched on ga! Haha. Sick day??

You might be fine with breathing thursday, don't worry! Mine was partly low iron and partly no space in the later stages. Hopefully you can keep going, it is good to stay active!

My guts are proper chatty today! Think it's the baby communicating?? I've only fed it raspberries, not sure why it's protesting so much!

Jcandy · 10/07/2015 08:29

Haha no don't worry Thursday I'm almost 18 weeks, everyone knows and I've got a definite bump forming so there'll be no hiding!

Ah Google it's a blessing and a curse!

Aww ga bless her!

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 08:31

Morning! I slept right through! How exciting!

Today is a closing date for a trip the Brownies are going on, so I need to phobe round those who haven't returned the form to find out if they are coming. It's too much to expect no reply means not coming. It actually means "didn't bother to read letter".

jellypi3 · 10/07/2015 08:35

haha ga she sounds brilliant!

So i think my cramps yesterday were trapped wind. By the end of the day they were really painful (and i was starting to panic) and then I did the biggest fart that terrified both me and the cats and the pain went. So all is well.

JC 18 weeks??? Blimey it's flying by!

honeysucklejasmine · 10/07/2015 08:38

Ha ha ha Jelly! Classy bird!
