Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Which reminds me I've not eaten my half dozen prunes yet today this constipation shit us doing my head in

ThursdayLast · 09/07/2015 17:49

Fleur my MW recommended shagging to get baby out - there's a hormone in jizz which They use for induction or something.

I would prove not that much otherwise we'd be advised against shagging. And also bugger all worked for me last time, so I don't believe in any of these things anymore

TotallyAnonymousUsername · 09/07/2015 18:05

tea I'm glad it's not just me. I don't remember this from last time. I've had five figs today. Plus lots of fruit juice and fruit. I will poo, I WILL

dulcet i totally didn't mean it as a criticism, last time i had some placenta problems and had to have growth scans, do it made sense not to leave it too long. And I always try to tell people my induction was ok because otherwise you only tend to hear horror stories!

In other news my bath leaked last night but the plumber seems to have fixed it and there's minimal damage thank goodness

Fleurchamp · 09/07/2015 18:11

Sorry, going to have a bit of a moan.

Does anyone else have a job which means that people constantly ask for favours to do with this job?

Usually, I am pretty good at turning people away (they seem to come out of the woodwork, friends of friends/ people I haven't spoken to for years) or just telling them I have to do it through work and it will cost £xx (usually discounted). It sorts the wheat from the chaff.

Since I have been on maternity leave I have had two separate people contacting me to ask for "freebies". One I referred back to another colleague at my work (which they were fine and understanding about) and the other, which is even more annoying, is someone who I did help out previously but they ignored what I told them, went elsewhere and now wants another "freebie". I said no, explaining I am on maternity leave, and have just had an email back from them which I would say is verging on abusive.

I am so fricking angry, I don't need this stress Sad

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2015 18:23

Well how can they expect to get any favours if they are abusive fleur? Make sure you don't do anything for them, bloody idiots! My job isn't like that but I do understand what you mean. Don't let them make you feel bad. You are on maternity leave for a start so not even in a position where you can help.

I was eating a scone when I read that mountain, is a sign! I made a due date cake for DH. Must be a baking day!

No worries totally, didn't think you were! I do hear more negative stories about induction for sure, mainly about the length of time it takes, but I'm sure it's not always like that.

Yeah that could go very wrong la! We picked in laws up from a cruise a couple weeks ago and we did discuss sending them a photo of our friends baby when they got off the boat and saying it was here. Decided it's probably a bit too mean!

BJs already tee? You are a good partner for sure!

Hi thursday! We are doing well!

Purpleball · 09/07/2015 18:24

Fleur that's bang out of order. Fortunately I don't have a job like that.
I'd be tempted to email back saying you're really glad you couldn't help if that's their attitude

jellypi3 · 09/07/2015 18:44

Oo let us at em fleur! A bunch of angry, sex deprived minus la, hormonal preggo women. They'd love it. What a douche though, don't get upset. They aren't worth your time.

Luckily with my line of work people get bored the minute I tell them the industry I work in.

LaLaLaaaa · 09/07/2015 19:01

fleur that's not ok at all!!! You're on maternity leave preparing for your baby and have a right to be left in peace. I would respond telling them you don't appreciate the tone and that you are afraid that you are contracted to your work and therefore any work needs to go through them in an official capacity. My friends who are vets have to do this all the time - if anything went wrong they could be liable otherwise.

I get it all the time too - I don't mind giving advice at all and will often offer it freely, but people sometimes forget that it is actually my job and I'm providing expertise that in theory should really be paid for and I might actually not have time right now, so if I don't respond straight away don't get annoyed with me.

I always know when I'm getting asked for a freebie coz someone I haven't spoken to in AGES will suddenly email, Facebook message or text out of the blue - it happened the other day. Message from someone I worked with in 2006 - token 'how are you?' question first, followed by a question about how to manage a situation with wild birds. Gave them the advice because it's easy enough to do and they were very grateful, but I bet I don't hear from them again for years.

By the way this doesn't mean you lot aren't allowed to ask me stuff, I'm only talking about folk who haven't given me the time of day in years then suddenly want my help. And yes fleur I also get fed up when they ask but then don't take the advice - why ask if you don't want to listen?

Mmmm...I'm going to have scones too tonight, with clotted cream and jam. Yum.

Thanks viroids Grin scones winging their way to you fleur

Fleurchamp · 09/07/2015 19:05

Thanks ladies, I went for a walk to post a birthday card and bought a scone from the bakers for 20p (end of day reductions ftw!) which has cheered me up Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 09/07/2015 19:13

Anyone planning to buy a sleepyhead - NCT have it on sale just now for £89 with free delivery.

My credit card may have accidentally flown out of my wallet, inputted its details to the website and ordered one. That's my excuse to Mr La anyway...

First of all, I am SO SORRY for the epic catch up essay. I couldn't stop...

My notes are in a bright yellow A4 folder and they're HUGE. Easily the thickness of a novel. It's going to be so convenient and discreet to carry around in the later days. Hmm

Sounds like the Bounty pack is a bit pants and not worth the fuss. Thanks for explaining, viroids.

Happy due date dulcet!

Glad to hear wiggly and miniwiggly all okay. Thanks chat.

Welcome carrot and Thursday! Thursday I'm reading a Jasper Fforde book at the moment called Shades of Grey, it's quite good, have you read that one? My doctor's receptionist are mean too. Why are they always like that??

jelly I don't even have a specific midwife, there are a couple of community midwives at my surgery and I see whichever one (and student midwives).

Did I tell you that I was meant to be offered an NHS early scan but they failed to contact me because they were ringing the wrong number? So that put us £120 out of pocket for the private one for no reason. Hmm

Can't remember if it was carrot or country asking but first midwife appointment they also ask you history including about any trauma or mental health stuff. That might not be relevant but something to prepare yourself for if so. My routine booking in was far from routine unfortunately, it ended up quite a negative experience.

tea my boobs were already an F and they are increasing rapidly [crying emoji] I think they're trying to take over the world.

dulcet I don't think I want to be induced either. Due date seems so inexact, how do they know I'm really 'late'? Although I might change my mind nearer the time and just want them to evict the little one!

fleur how bloody cheeky and rude of them! Flowers good news about the scone though.

I've got my maternity exemption card, it arrived today after I sent off my MatB after booking in appt. I get free stuff anyway cause I'm on ESA, but it'll be useful when DP moves in (probably October) and is earning because I think I'll lose my disability benefits.

I've PMed you la (I hope, I've never PMed anyone on here before so I might have done it wrong). I'm a bit nervous about joining the FB page! Impressive sex injury btw crikey how big is mr la's manjo?

I got chatted up by an old man in the bus station today. He smelt of wee but he did give me a pocket pack of tissues for my hayfever so that was handy.

I really want a Christmas dinner now!!!

oneyorkshirepud · 09/07/2015 19:18

Ah glad you were cheered up by baked goods Fleur!

La, your animal advice is amazing that's why people ask you! Is the fitness class you do 'Fit mums and fit bumps'? Is it any good? I am thinking of trying to get into exercising again but it will be a 20+ minute drive to the class. Worth it? I can do aqua natal over the summer as it is during the day and I have a very local pool plus a pregnancy yoga dvd. Still need to build up slowly though. I used to exercise a lot but have done nothing for 4 months (weeps!). Yesterday I had to dash everywhere, carry a lot of stuff and was on my feet all day and today I could not go to work, so definitely not free of the exhaustion!

Fleurchamp · 09/07/2015 19:35

Thanks for the sleepyhead heads up la I have passed it on to my nct girls as we were only talking about them the other day.

Yes, I think what rankles is not taking my initial advice and now coming crying back to me when it hasn't worked out. Grrr.

CountryGal4 · 09/07/2015 19:39

You bastards! I'm so hungry now after all the crimbo dinner talk!

CountryGal4 · 09/07/2015 19:41

WilHarlot · 09/07/2015 21:39

Good work on the sleepyhead La.

God I feel so bad now. I totally did that with someone the other day who I wanted advice from. Haven't spoken in about a year and I texted to ask something. We did have lots of chat afterwards but that was probably really crap of me. I'm going to spend ages wondering if she's annoyed with me now!
