Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 32nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 50th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

purple check a couple of pages back... I snuck in

totally four weeks today here too!

So rang the midwife to get me logged in the system but she was like its a but early as it's normally a figure crosse you make it to 8 weeks wtf?!?

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 21:00

Honey I meant moving out of me!!!Grin Oops must proof read in future. Loads of baby wiggles today and lots of Toni's tightening during class.

Feel soooooo much better for having gone! It totally stretches me out and I am feel all my joints popping as a result. I felt sick and had a headache before I went but both gone now.

Jelly yes I don't come from this town and didn't have any preggers friends so I just googled antenatal fitness. Couldn't find any yoga classes who allowed pregnant women, but this class is specially for antenatal and all the exercises are designed to help you through labour and then early days with child. We do lots of leg and thigh strengthening to help stay mobile in labour, lots of weights to be able to lift baby and general gentle movement to keep active. She then does a postnatal class where you can take baby

Country yes your first appointment would normally be about 8 weeks with mw but depends on your area - some you see gp first. You can at least pick up pregnancy pack in meantime hopefully

OP posts:
CountryGal4 · 08/07/2015 21:07

I know I won't see anyone yet but just wanted to get in the system. Gp reception want nothing to do with me. Where can I get the pack from?

Also I was takin vit c and zinc while Ttc should I stop taking these?

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 21:10

Start taking preggo vits like pregnacare or supermarket own brand version. They should still book your appointment I would have thought? I was mega early too with contacting them. They normally say to pop in and pick up preggo pack - it has your wee tube in as you'll need to take sample to mw appointment

CountryGal4 · 08/07/2015 21:13

They want my piss?!? Dear lord. I basically know nothing!

DulcetMoans · 08/07/2015 21:16

That process is different everywhere though country so might not be the same as la. I had to go to GO to get referral to midwife and then no pack until booking in and never had a pot to piss in, just a did it when I was there each appointment. Maybe ring the surgery tomorrow to ask what the process is there rather than asking for an appointment? At least you will know what to expect then - our experience could be different to yours.

SecondCupOfTea · 08/07/2015 21:18

Country

I phoned my GP surgery to book an appointment. I asked them if I should see the GP or the nurse, and they said GP (of course it's different in different areas, round here it seems many maternity hospitals don't take self-referrals).

As for vits, I'm just carrying on with my folic acid and vit D until the doc tells me anything different.

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 21:19

Yeah could be totally different! Even in my town different people have had different system depending which surgery they are registered with, best just to phone and ask

SecondCupOfTea · 08/07/2015 21:20

Oh, and I've filled in the stats sheet and dammit I've gone from being the oldest on the JS'ing fred to the oldest on this one!

CountryGal4 · 08/07/2015 21:21

Thanks viroids I'll give gp another go tomorrow. Viroids: educating morons like me since 50 Fred's ago Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 21:33

Honestly we've all been there! At least you didn't do what I did and tell receptionist you were 2 weeks pregnant. I didn't know to count from last period!

OP posts:
pretzelpieces · 08/07/2015 21:48

I didn't get a preg pack I just got my folder with my notes in at booking in (8 weeks). Also pissed in a pot while there.

I'm only taking vit D and frolic as multivits made me vom (more). Persevered with them as long as I could early on but now anything that smells remotely like one of the (3!) brands I tried makes me hurl.

Purpleball · 08/07/2015 22:03

I had booking in at 8-9 weeks and got bounty pack then and maternity notes. Everyone wants my pee, they only told me last week I didn't need 2 pots, one for each consultant Grin

Mummynatal was fab, a bit like lazy Daisy but less hippyfied Smile
I need a bigger birthing ball than the one SIL gave me though. Everyone was lovely and it really relaxed me too Smile there were a few others with anxiety issues - seems it's pretty common.
Anyways I'm looking forward to going back next week Smile

Mum just suggested I use my old iPhone for work....lightbulb moment! DH is sorting me an account on his laptop so I don't need to buy one. It's a lot of money to spend just for iTunes and getting photos off a camera!

pretzelpieces · 08/07/2015 22:21

What's a bounty pack and should I have one? Scared to ask for one because she'll ask how I know about it and that midwife is stern and told me to stay off forums because there are too many people offering different advice! Grin you can tell I'm not keen on her already.

LaLaLaaaa · 08/07/2015 22:24

Pretzel I wouldn't lose sleep over a bounty pack - I got two and they were full of vouchers for stuff I didn't want and johnsons samples

OP posts:
pretzelpieces · 08/07/2015 22:41

Ah ok thanks la

SecondCupOfTea · 08/07/2015 22:59

Oh...how disappointing...I had imagined a multi-pack of Bounty bars milk, not plain

mountaingirl01 · 08/07/2015 23:01

Welcome newbies! Good to see the ranks re-filling! what have you been doing over on the js-ing thread with this many bfps at once!

I've never had a bounty pack, don't feel like I'm missing out tbh

So I spent much of the evening in mau being monitored, as lazy baby hasn't been doing much mooching the last few days. Happy to report that all is well. Felt a bit of a time waster as they were really busy, but would never forgive myself if I hadn't gone and something had been wrong. I'm off on my holidays on Saturday too so didn't want to be worrying whilst in Italy! is it bad that I kind of don't want to go anymore as I'm so scared something bad will happen?

In better news, I picked up my travel system today! I've bought the lot off a friend at work, so there are a few bumos/scratches/buttons that don't work as easily as they should...but £100 for the lot I can't complain. I've just been playing with it in the garden which was quite exciting.

Jcandy · 08/07/2015 23:14

Welcome totally country tea!

Well I've been in bed for an hour but my brain won't shut off. It's full of prams and car seats and decisions. I hate making decisions but I can't seem to switch my brain off to leave it for a few weeks either. Doesn't help that I'm visiting my friend who has a 10 month old that keeps telling me how I should do things when I had a different idea in my head.......

Toast85 · 08/07/2015 23:25

Welcome new grads!
I phoned gp same day as bfp and receptionist was a bit 'oh bless you, have an appointment in 2 weeks' and then I got impatient and phoned local maternity hospital who were also a bit like 'oh how sweet, trying to get in the system at 41/2 weeks!'
Anyhoo, felt like a long time waiting for initial appointments but time has sped up considerably since.

This is a pizza cake dulcet:

Tbh it does look like a bit of a faff to make but I would totally give that greasy hunk a good seeing to if someone were to make me one. Sorry no proper linky link- don't know how to do it and the app won't tell me, randomly I'm clicking on the little purple 'i' button and mumsnet is showing me a picture of a jam ring biscuit. Retro and yummy but not helping!

I have preggo yoga tomorrow, the first session I went to was brill and I'm looking forward to carrying on with it. I have to buy classes in blocks of 8 sessions and if I want to buy a second block I will be 39+5 on the last class- any thoughts whether this is madness to think I'll still be bendy enough for preggo yoga at that stage?

I'm lying in bed with my new dream genii, it arrived today. Will let you know how I get on in the morning!

Pom poms ready for babies soon!

Hi early crew!

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 09/07/2015 04:47

Morning!

Round here you can self refer to midwives at 5 weeks. They are supposed to send you your green notes out along with screening leaflets etc. I will need to ring them again today, as I haven't had any of that yet and I'm 7+2 today. Equally, not seeing them until I am 9+3 so no rush!

LaLaLaaaa · 09/07/2015 05:42

Our notes are pink. Mine are huge!

OP posts:
ZylaB · 09/07/2015 06:25

My notes were white, you'd think they'd standardise these things! I went to consultant at hospital at 5 weeks as I let them know myself, they then to,d off local midwives for not processing me earlier, then local midwives made a point of saying they don't do it before 10 weeks!
