Romeo !!! Fantastic to see you here, welcome Grin

crumble74 · 02/07/2015 20:39

Indeed aloha, my boss will be fumingdelighted.

Fascinating hearing about all the different jobs/careers in here. What a diverse bunch we all are, I love it.

kep1979 · 02/07/2015 20:50

Congratulations and welcome Romeo!! Good to see you this side Smile

This evening I am having major sugar cravings - have demolished two packets of haribo (only little ones though) and a fun size mars bar. I am trying to resist another packet of haribo. I have a stinking headache and with feeling so faint earlier I am trying to keep hydrated but am fed up with going to the loo!

Lookingforadvice123 · 02/07/2015 20:51

crumble I'm intrigued, where do you work?

So are you going back to work then will be starting mat leave in 6 months? Nicely planned!

Joey0805 · 02/07/2015 20:59

Liliana - just terrible news, thinking of you.

ValancyJane · 02/07/2015 21:00

Thanks all for the reassurance, I'm really glad to know it's not just me getting into a tizz over it!! I'm starting to irritate myself with all the worrying, hope I relax after the 12 week scan. I know that I'm probably being irrational. It does help to vent on here, thanks ladies Smile

Kep All I wanted to eat this evening was chips. I am really quite ashamed of myself, but I did just have a plate of chips for tea!

Joey0805 · 02/07/2015 21:00

My harmony and combined results are all back and both super low risk so DH and I are really pleased!

In shock news though we are....TEAM PINK! I so thought it was a boy, kind of in shock...

Wynsey · 02/07/2015 21:14

So....had my 10 week 1st midwive apt today! Grin super chuffed to be in double figures!!!
I was pretty exciting - my midwive was lovely & was great when I explained my over-the-top fear of needles and blood - she took blood no problem and only felt a teeny bit faint! Woohoo!! minimexicanwave
Apparently I'm very low risk & looks like my life is mega boring as I answered no to everything!!
Now less than 20 days to wait until my scan!!

Can't wait for this hot weather to bugger off!! Got woken up with thunderstorms last night then magpies on our window ledge this morning - squaking away!! And had to pee during the night for the last 4 nights!! Me who sleeps through a bomb!! Times are changing Wink

Xxx

Lookingforadvice123 · 02/07/2015 21:32

Congrats for both joey! Now I'm even more 100% sure that I'm having a boy, seems like everyone on this thread is having girls? Can't wait to find out but it will be ages about 6 weeks, want to get my appointment now!

kep1979 · 02/07/2015 21:44

Great news on the results joey, and eeek a baby girl!!! Congratulations Grin I am still trying to get my head around it! On pinterest trying to get inspiration for a girlie yet not pink nursery... proving tricky. But oh my word some adorable clothes, and LOVE the baby tights!

ValancyJane · 02/07/2015 21:46

Joey Congratulations, lovely news on both counts Smile

I have felt like mine's a girl all along, will be quite stunned at 20 week scan if it's a boy in there! Though obviously would still be quite happy, just surprised!

crumble74 · 02/07/2015 21:50

Woohoo joey! Another girl, another total surprise! So exciting!!

looking Nothing exciting, it's an American science company, but I mainly deal with German clients and finance/tax issues.

It does look like it was nicely planned. To be honest they made it so hard for me to work part time that my choices were either to get pregnant again or quit...so...

crumble74 · 02/07/2015 21:59

Same here kep, still in utter disbelief. Think we'll have to keep both kids in the same room for a while so I'm already passing down the nursery. Poor girl. She will get new tights though Grin...I always thought how much easier it would be if DS wore tights, those little socks just come off too easily!

Brooke113 · 02/07/2015 22:13

Lovely news joey

I'll have to pay privately again for a gender scan, as our hospital won't tell you the gender at the 20 week scan :(

I really enjoyed my lunch today, chilli con carne and 1/2 a chocolate orange Blush
Until it made an appearance an hour later...

I've got a super nose too, cannot cope with the smells of toiletries, laundry detergent, I almost throw up in the shower everyday :(
Cannot cope with the smell of coffee, I can smell somebody smoking from a mile away, My list of smells I can't tolerate is huge!lol

Phizpop · 02/07/2015 22:24

kep totally know what you mean about trying to keep hydrated bit fed up of going to the loo. I normally work out and about, but keep having to pop back to office for facilities, definitely not v productive this week.

Romeolovesjuliet · 02/07/2015 22:27

Thanks for the welcome ladies.
Interesting to see some of you are already finding out the sex - we have never found out before but DH said today he might like to this time. I'm not keen though so we shall see.
Crumble - my work did that to me after I had my first - so I also went back pg. it was an uncomfortable conversation with my boss but fine once it was out in the open!

MissMartin10 · 02/07/2015 22:29

congratulations joey Grin Great News!!
woohoo dp has bought us a 3d scan ready for when i turn 16weeks.. asoon as i have the dating scan to confirm dates it will be booking will be confirmed and I'll be finding out if im having a boy or girl Smile so glad he's finally agreed as i don't think i can wait between 12w and 20w (or 12-18) Grin

coffeenut · 03/07/2015 05:15

oh lil I'm so sorry. I'm glad your DH is supportive. I'm sure no-one will mind in the slightest if you get upset at your sister's wedding. Did your family know you were pregnant?

Is anyone else starting to getting little wiffles of movement? I swear I've been having "swooshes" in the right area when I'm lying in bed or sitting very still. Obviously my stomach muscles are shot.

mrsfazruns · 03/07/2015 07:14

I go away for a day and have pages upon pages to catch up on!!

Sorry to hear you news lil had you in my thoughts all day!

interesting that so many finding out the sex!! DH initially wanted to but I talked him out of it as I want to wait till the big day!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 03/07/2015 07:31

Isn't it a bit early for movements? I thought they started around 20 weeks!

brickiemum2 · 03/07/2015 07:42

Depends what number baby it is and where your placenta is looking I felt my first at 17 weeks. I felt my second baby at 14 weeks. I'm now 12+6 and yes, I can feel movements that are not me in the right area. I'm just lucky enough to be one of those that feel them incredibly early. I don't really talk about it irl this early as people would look at me like I'm even more bonkers.

coffeenut · 03/07/2015 07:55

glad it's not just me brickie. I don't think I felt any with DD1 until at least 18 weeks (and probably no definite movements until 20 weeks - can be very hard to know what's what with your first!).

welcome romeo Smile

Brooke113 · 03/07/2015 08:01

I started feeling little movements just before 13w with #2, this is #3 and I already know I have non existent stomach muscles! Can't wait to start feeling little movements :)

crumble74 · 03/07/2015 08:12

I didn't feel anything before 18w last time, hopefully this time it'll be even earlier, otherwise I'll have to have another reassurance scan in a few weeks to check if everything's ok in there. Purely paranoia, no other reason.

babybabynamechange · 03/07/2015 08:33

I have a scan today, am excited and nervous in equal measure. No reason to suspect anything is wrong but well, you know.

I'm 11+3 and this is just a quick check in because they like to keep an eye on twins - my 12 week scan isn't till 13 weeks anyway.

My last scam was at 8+0 and I'm excited to see how much they've grown - last time they were both just blobs with flickering heartbeats - am expecting to see actual babies!
