Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 31st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 49th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

I had nippy period pains from about that time I think, it was apparently tiny tee descending in my knackered pelvis. Also he was also squishing my insides a bit by then too so I kept having gripey poo pain too which felt similar.

Gripey poo pain sums it up brilliantly! That's precisely what it feels like :)

My dh has just brought me coffee in bed and now gone to work. I've got half an hour to get my ass ready before builders arrive. Me and cross eyed cat are having a cuddle first though.

Hoping windows are quick things to put in?

Waters broke at 4am this morning (yes, I had just put fresh bedding on!) and so I've been booked in for an induction tomorrow morning, really hoping things start naturally before then. Got some pains but nothing regular. I'm bouncing away on the ball and don't plan to get off it anytime soon!

To do my whole house took 2 days la but are they just replacing the glass? I think one window won't take too long - maybe two hours? Do you know where DH is taking you later?

Hopefully a calmer day purple.

Happy Birthday La! I think you get lots of discomfort at your stage as baby gets itself ready. Might be a sign of overdoing it a little also - but that's no bad thing if you want baby to come.

Gas and air would be lots of fun if you didn't have to be in labour at the same time .

Got to get my ass up and out for a busy day. Had about four hours sleep .

Question for those of you who did NCT, is there a big difference between signature and essentials? I've googled for ones near me and they have two options, one is 6x2 hour evening sessions and one was 3 long sessions (I think). What did you folks decide on?

I just had a whiff of G&A with DD, nothing with Tiny. My stitches with DD caused many more problems than the epis though, probably because they caused more damage than they did repair

Thanks, everyone. Certainly not ruling my mum out as the one to be there, but it's a good point that things might change for dh after some antenatal classes. We start some next month with nct in Aug, so maybe.....I suppose that what I really want is for him to want to be there, and I can't manufacture that for him.

I had my mother with me and dp when I had my first, she missed the birth though because it was an emcs. I thought it'd be a food idea for dp to have support because he can be a bit of a worrier. We're going it alone this time though since we've had practice and done more OBEM homework.

Is anyone else finding sex really odd/disappointing? I went off sex totally having DS and on DD I was put on pelvic rest so didn't have the option. This time around it seems like a good idea but DP is clumsy and I keep having to tell him to get off the bump . Once I start thinking about the baby it's no fun any more and I get pissed off that he's not being careful enough.

La our Windows took a couple of hours to go from wooden to plastic, that is 2 big Windows though and I wasn't there (just left him to it).

I plan on having dh as birth partner, but if he is on call I may not get him for the whole time/at all. This doesn't actually bother me... I am hoping to approach birth in the same way as I do a marathon i.e. eyes down get on with it! Hoping for just g&a (I've knowhow good it must be, I pull broken bones when people have hadit!) But open to see how it goes. Tearing/epis are my big fear too!
Thankfully dh is an anaesthetist so he should be a good advocate when it comes to drugs!

Rhi sex during the first trimester was amazing. We haven't done it as often in the second tri but what did work for me now doesn't. Maybe it'll all go back to normal in the third tri?

Met our NCT group last night for a drink. The first babies have arrived (twins, 38 weeks natural labour) and one girl is 11 days overdue.

Oh god - window man has just mentioned he's brought his dog in his van. I have an absolute hatred of anyone who leaves dogs in cars. It's warm today! I've just given him a lecture about dogs in hot cars and been reassured he's checking on it regularly. It can reach 40 degrees in 15 minutes on a warm day!

jelly I think mine was the signature course? It was really really good - I had 3 two-hour sessions, one six hour session and a bf workshop. Then we get a reunion after babies have arrived.

rhi I've had no sex drive the whole way through this pregnancy and have felt really guilty about it, as my dh loves sex. Did it yesterday as spoons which worked really well and I actually enjoyed it more than I'd thought! Try spoons, that might be easier?

I was going to have dh and dm in the room, but dh surprised me by being quite adament that he only wants it to be me and him in the room and my dm is not to be there. Instead she's going to be on cat duty at home. I only found that out when we sat down to chat about birth plan.

Oh my goodness, contractions HURT! I'm majorly underprepared for this! When can I have the good drugs?!?

Rhi sounds like the problem is with your dp's attitude rather than the sex itself. I really went off sex the first few weeks, but that's completely changed over the last couple of weeks or so. Sadly it seems to have co-incided with me being on pelvic rest. Not cool. But there's no physical logistics to work out yet with bump, etc, so not in the same situation as you.

will and Deeply - I think a major issue which people don't really tend to bring up much, is that everyone reacts to drugs in slightly different ways. A lot of people on here seem to have really liked gas and air, but I absolutely hated it. I felt so utterly out of control (like bad drunk lack of control) that I had to stop using it. Likewise, when actually feeling off your face on g and a pushing would have been impossible (I wasn't in labour at the time). You just don't give enough of a shit about anything to care (at least ime). But it's rare that you get to "try out" the drugs in advance, so you just don't know until the day! That's why I think it's so important not to put all your faith in one thing - in case it doesn't actually work/suit you when the shit hits the fan!

I am not sure which NCT I did jelly, sorry. I did a series of 4 evening (2hrs) and one Saturday afternoon session. There is a reunion one too, which they are trying to arrange on my birthday!

Sure my DH is finding sex disappointing since pregnancy rhi! We have barely done it. In the second trimester it took him a couple tries to realise he couldn't put weight in certain places. Maybe they get lost in the moment!

Right, I just had a massive nap which is good but now I feel lazy and guilty so I need to do chores. Starting with a sit down, a tea cake and making a list!

Got my blood test this afternoon. Must make sure I go to doctors to find out what the result is. Don't usually bother, generally assume that they will let me know if it's not.

Had a dream last night that a family member (my long deceased grandfather) was in hospital, as was my brother. One of them had a ultrasound so I asked if they could scan me whilst they had it out. In my dream I was 5 weeks, so that's accurate, but the ultrasound was more like a 4D scan and showed 3 babies who were clearly about 30 weeks old. Bizarre!

Breathe, RM - it will help to keep yourself from tensing up which will hurt more. Easy to say though I know! I'm not the one having contractions!!

gouda I'm not putting all my faith in one thing - merely saying I would rather not use drugs if possible. I want to stay mobile and the drugs would likely put an end to that. As I say, I'll see how I go.
