Wow, so many babies here now!! Congratulations everyone! Joskar and absb I'm crossing my fingers for yours to come soon.
Fergus is doing really well, he's lovely and chubby and generally such a chilled out happy baby, although today he has managed to squirt poop into the closet, down the wall, and under the dresser, and done an exorcist style vomit so spectacular that I had to take the covers off the sofa to wash them, and then strip bare assed naked and put all my vomit soaked clothing in the wash with them. IT GOT IN MY EYE AND MY PANTS.
I kind of want to post my birth story here, I've really enjoyed everyone else's, but it's a bit of a horror story - I think I'm going to wait until all the babies have arrived so I'm not THAT woman!!

Another one here thinking of jockstar and absb. Sending lots of swift arrival and smooth delivery vibes.

I will definitely take your advice about the wound mzzf. I'm totally the sort to over do things. It did feel a bit sore tonight when I got in bed. Probably a combination of getting used to having stairs at home and not having the help of the adjustable bed like in hospital. i'm finding getting into a sitting up position very hard work.

Glad you are doing well siani. That sounds like a spectacular vomit and poo incident. First of many I'm sure.

Not much to report here. 1st night home is going well so far. Ds is being brilliant. Oh, and frolicdog is pretending she can't see him, which is what she does with new dogs or things. I'm sure she'll get used to him in a couple of days.

Siani feel free to share your story. Everyone's is so individual so it's great to hear each one whether good or bad.

Glad first night went well frolic. I struggled enough getting up in bed from just stitches so goodness knows what it would be like with a csection wound. Hope it heels quickly.

Just checking in to see if we have our final August babies. I hope they're here safe and sound or on their way smoothly. My midwife said she had a massively busy weekend with the full moon!

Congrats frolic and equimum! Been slow on checking in on here. Hope all is well Smile

Oooh never thought that full moon affects things! My midwife said Sept is always busy as its Christmas / new year babies lol - then she said nov is the next due to valentines. I never thought about their 'peak times' but it did make me smile.

How's everyone getting on?

Siani sounds like an epic labour then! Waiting to hear the details.

Epic fail today - I put the heating on to dry some clothes quick - didn't think heatine was working so wacked the thermo right up - now sat here sweating!!! So it does work, I'm inpatient and heating has now been turned off lol

Siani, I'm glad you're settling into life as a mummy and already enjoying some of it's more quirky pleasures Grin. Sorry to hear your birth wasn't what you would have wanted. Have you been given information on local debriefing services? We went to see the midwife counsellor after having DS1, and it really helped DH and I make sense of everything. I'm not sure we would have had DS2 without the support they offered.

Frolic, (and everyone else who is still recovering from c sections or nasty tears), please do take extra special care of yourselves and get all the rest you can.

I'm really hoping that Joskar, AbsB and any other ladies on here who were still waiting, were amongst those affected by the full moon.

We're doing okay. We had a bit of a panic on Sunday when the midwife thought DS2 might have an umbilical flare. We were sent straight back to the hospital for re-admission, although, fortunately, it turned out to be less serious and we were allowed home. I don't think I have ever been so scared in my life. Since then, the cluster feeding has begun in earnest and last night, DS was feeding on an off from about 8.30pm until nearly 3am. I will definitely be buying a cabbage (and some chocolate today). I am now wide awake while he is peacefully snoozing in his basket and DH has gone downstairs with DS1.

Good luck to anyone still waiting, and to those whose DH/DPs are going back up work this week.

Hello!! Oh congratulations Equi!! So glad you didn't need the induction you feared!!
Sounds like everyone is doing really well which makes me super happy!! C'mon Joskar you need to join the party of sleepless nights, poo and vom!
It's Molly and I's first day solo as DH has gone back to work - so far we're coping ok!!

Sorry I haven't posted recently, the hacking thing with the pw reset has tested my patience and I still can't get the app to work on my phone?!

xx

Hi, hope
You don't mind me popping in to say massive Congratulations to Frolic on the birth of frolicbaby. He's so gorgeous. I hope
he is settling in and you're enjoying lots of newborn snuggles xx

Joskar · 03/09/2015 21:12

Thanks folks. Epic labour that began following a sweep on Monday afternoon. Two days of contractions later...

My mother is scoring all the snuggles at the moment. Cora has taken to the boob no bother (what a relief after the absolute horror story of a time I had getting dc1 to feed) so I'm getting my share too. So far so good.

Hope everyone is well and feeling ok. It's amazing how much easier it all is second time around. So far there is not nearly as much crying and upset (from me I mean!).

Anyone still out there? Or is it just me that misses this thread?! And being pregnant in general?! I know I said I wouldn't as I was rough, sick and so uncomfortable and it certainly isn't my bump I miss but I do miss feeling special and that look people in public would give you that you are doing this amazing thing and Aqua natal and pregnancy yoga feeling like I was doing something good for my baby not just me- like everything had more purpose, even eating was nourishing the little life inside me whereas now it's just eating!! God I sound like a crazy person! I think I'm particularly tired today and feeling emotional!! Anyone?

Hi everyone! First of all big apologies for not getting on here sooner but hubby been away a lot so lots of juggling with five year old and newborn! Ted was finally born sixteen days late at home weighing 10 lbs 2 Oz!!! He is a lovely baby, very chilled compared to his sister... He does have an allergy to cow's milk so I've had to cut dairy from my diet. Luckily he tolerates goat so not too difficult. How is everyone else doing?? Sorry about delay, I dropped off thread and couldn't find you all (or remember my log in info!!) Xmas Shock
