Fanby - you have described it perfectly! I thought something was wrong at first. I'm finding all these aches and pains a little scary as I wasn't quite expecting it. I think I just thought I would get aches and pains when I was in labour and that's it!

Siani - Good luck with the house move! I hope everything goes well.

How is everyone tonight? I've been getting period pain tonight and feel washed out. Hopefully a nice soak in the bath will help

clairexxx · 26/07/2015 20:34

Fanby I have 2 weeks and 3 days left until my due date!

Augustwedding · 26/07/2015 21:55

I'm due tomorrow and just trying to keep busy. Trying to get out once a day!

sianihedgehog · 26/07/2015 22:17

Fanby yes please!!! I've got exactly two weeks left. And it looks increasingly likely that our moving date will also be exactly two weeks from now...

clairexxx · 26/07/2015 22:18

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow, Augustwedding! Keeping busy sounds like a good idea.

Is anyone drinking raspberry leaf tea? The midwife recommended I drink it so I've been having a couple of cups a days once I turned 37 weeks.

clairexxx · 26/07/2015 22:21

Eek Siani! It might all happen at once for you then. Are you moving far? I moved 4 times in 2 years when we were renting due to landlords selling up but fortunately we managed to stay local.

sianihedgehog · 26/07/2015 22:39

Claire only about a half a mile, so it isn't that bad. I still get the same midwife for a homebirth and everything, so it could be a lot more stressful than it is!

clairexxx · 26/07/2015 22:58

Siani that's great you still have the same midwife etc. Fingers crossed that you can get moved in before baby arrives.

Lilydreams · 27/07/2015 00:24

Just popping in to say baby Luca was born today at 37+4 in an absolute whirlwind that saw us only just making it to hospital on time- 20 minutes from car park to baby in arms!! Initially started at 06:30 this morning and arrived at 2:10pm and I'm told established labour classed at 2 hours 10 minutes!! So much for first baby's being late and taking ages- this little man was in a right rush!! Had a few stitches and not to scare anyone but would rather have had 5 more baby's to push out than the stitches!! A million times more painful and 3 times as long as my pushing stage!!! Will read the rest of the thread when I'm over the shock for now I'm just going to stare at my son all night!!!! Grin

mzzzf · 27/07/2015 01:17

WOOOHOOO!!! Congratulations Lily!! Grin
And well bloody done you for that superhuman effort - you rock missus! Although the pain you describe for the stitches makes me want to cross my legs!! Smile

How bloody wonderful, you must be thrilled, exhausted and everything all at once. That's properly put a smile on my face before bed!!!

mzzzf · 27/07/2015 01:19

I blooming knew your plug going meant something was occurring!!!! X

clairexxx · 27/07/2015 06:04

Congratulations Lily! What lovely news to wake up to! Hope you are both okay

Fanby · 27/07/2015 07:52

OMG LILY!!! That's amazing!!!! I'm absolutely thrilled for you!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Hope you're resting now!! You go girl!! xxxxx

Frolicacid · 27/07/2015 08:23

Wooooo hooooo!!!! Well done lily! Congratulations Flowers

pinkie87 · 27/07/2015 08:27

OMG lily! Congratulations! Seems like only yesterday you were fishing your plug out of the loo with a spoon! Wink Grin What a super quick labour!!! Hope you're not feeling too sore! Enjoy your beautiful little boy. :) xx

ruby242 · 27/07/2015 08:28

Wow massive congratulations lily!! I hope you are enjoying newborn snuggles and recovering well (ouch to the stitches!)

First official day of maternity leave for me-feels strange but exciting at the same time!! Lots of baby clothes washing and organising on the cards for this morning. Am 37 + 4 so figure I need to get a bit more organised just in case!

Dozygirl · 27/07/2015 08:49

Whoohoo lily congratulations! Knew it wouldn't be long till he came. Wow for being so quick though first time round! Enjoy your gorgeous baby boy. Love the name luca.

Happy due date august hope things start moving for you.

Siani hope things stay put for u until you've moved ;)

All these people with aches and pains sounds promising. I've had nothing. Although I'd happily have her out tomorrow i also have a few things planned for next couple of weeks so I guess I'll be happy to keep her in till then lol. I'm thinking 39 weeks would be a nice arrival time haha. But I think I'll more likely go over.

Must remember to buy some rlt capsules today! I keep forgetting.

clairexxx · 27/07/2015 08:57

Ruby, enjoy your first day of maternity leave! Hope you have a lovely day

Dozy, all these aches and pains are getting a little frustrating now! To be honest. I keep getting excited thinking oh this is it! Woke up with low back ache, then the period pain cramps started, now the braxton Hicks. I still have my doubts as to whether or not I lost my plug a few weeks ago. I've had nothing since.

Hope you all have a good day!

mzzzf · 27/07/2015 08:57

Natch - I'm still ridiculously pregnant and our moving date draws ever closer!!! No niggles, pains, aches or ANYTHING! How can this be possible when I'm cooked?!

Still grey down south today, will be mostly chilling with the husband man as he's on leave this week too Smile

Also got another sweep attempt on Wednesday with the MW, something to look forward to...Hmm

clairexxx · 27/07/2015 08:57

Happy due date August!

Iwishicouldflyfarfaraway · 27/07/2015 09:07

Congratulations lily dreams enjoy your newborn snuggles :) mzzzf fingers crossed something happens soon for you , I'm still waiting to reach 37 weeks it feels like I've been 36 weeks forever now!

Joskar · 27/07/2015 09:33

Congratulations lily! So pleased it went well.

Have had a bit of show and lots of painful mini contractions. Don't want to go early because I still need to pack and work out storage/childcare/birth plan and sort wee baby clothes and masses of stuff to be getting on with. Fingers crossed I get at least another three weeks grace before the madness begins.

Another few weeks of sleep wouldn't go amiss either. Dd was up at 4.30 this morning. I'm like a half shut knife. Please let this new bairn be a sleeper. Another night owl might finish me off!

sianihedgehog · 27/07/2015 09:49

Omg, congratulations Lily!! Well done you and welcome to the world Luca!

Fanby · 27/07/2015 11:11

Ahh turns out the first NCT baby has just been born from our group too - it's newborns all around today!

mzzzf: ahhhh i'm sure baby will be here in no time! Enjoy your time with DH before the madness starts!

ruby242: Enjoy maternity leave :) Hope you have a lovely day nesting!

Not much on for me today. Had a few more niggles but movement has definitely decreased. Not sleeping well at all and our absolutely MORONIC 'neighbours' (they are the most non-neighbourly people i've ever met) in the flat above had a whole team of builders turn up before 8am this morning with no notice to us. I ended up having a go and got all upset, I blamed the pregnancy hormones but i'm so angry. The noise is ridiculous. Have got a hospital appointment today for bloods so least that'll get me out of the house for a bit…rant over...

clairexxx · 27/07/2015 11:17

Fanby, I would be cross too! I haven't been sleeping well for months. At the moment it's because I'm waking up to use the bathroom every hour! I hope the noise quietens down so you can get some rest.

Is anyone else struggling to sit up these days? My bump is very low so I'm finding it extremely difficult to sit on the sofa without slouching right back. Then I struggle to get up again! Everyone keeps telling me I have a small bump! I feel huge. I don't think it's nice to be told your big or small because I felt really worried. I even asked the midwife at my appointment and she said I was fine.
