Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

chickpea no, I was just a total POAS addict and overthink that sort of thing massively.

my warning sign for my MC was the clearblue conception indicator - it said 1-2 weeks when I first did it (which was fine) but still said 1-2 weeks 2 weeks later when I was nearly 6 weeks preg. So that was my first indication that something was starting to go wrong.

This time I've promised myself I'm only doing one test and that's it, I drive myself crazy otherwise.

Chickpea1983 · 02/07/2015 14:44

I just asked my husband to get me some more tests but a decent brand so I can test again in a few days and make sure it's darker Confused

maybebabybee · 02/07/2015 14:46

chickpea to be fair my lines did get pretty dark, it was the digi one which was the indication, hence why I'm staying well away from them this time round as constant worrying didn't help me at all in the long run.

what I'm saying is, I don't think line darkness is an indication of viability. I am just neurotic.

dobbythedoggy · 02/07/2015 15:01

chickpea when I was pregnant with dd I did two cheep tescos tests and a clear blue digi to give some idea of how far a long I was. Lines on the tescos ones were very faint I think, and I did then 48 hours appart. If you feel like testing again for reasurance get the same brand as I think the strength of dye can vary between brands.

This time around I'm a poas addict, mostly because I have had 30 amazon cheepies in the cupboard. (Also used a couple of superdrug ones because they're meant to be very sensitive, a cb plus and a cbd!) I've been watching them get darker using fmu, seems to be doing what it says it should on the packet because every other day the lines are getting darker. But I know at some point I'd expect it to be negitive because it would be too strong for the tests limits. I also was for the week before I mc but because I wasn't sure I was getting postives the line was so faint.

I have a digi to test with the start of next week, but know how unreliable they can be with regards to dating. Only using it to try to work out dates better. Not going to do it until the day before my midwife's appointment through.

The basic rule is a line is a line! I know I'm completely contradicting that!

maybebabybee · 02/07/2015 15:06

dobby be aware that after about 6/7 weeks the hormones can be so high that it might make the CB digi ones come out wonky - my sister did a CB digi at 10 weeks and it told her 1-2 weeks! So I would only do tests up til 7 weeks at the longest.

dobbythedoggy · 02/07/2015 15:23

Thanks maybe I know hormones mess with the tests, and that cbd aren't at all reliable for dating but would be lovely to know it consders me past the 5 weeks when I mc. With the amazon ones I'm using once it gets to a certain concentration they'd show negitives. Once the ones I have are gone I won't be doing anymore!

The trouble with concieveing in the wtf cycle is dates could vary so much!

Herewegoagain31 · 02/07/2015 17:12

I also have a pack of Amazon cheapies which fair to them said they were high sensitivity and they were - 9dpo they showed up a feint line and I then treated myself to a first response to confirm! Since then I've been working through the pack of 15 every 2 or 3 days and the line is definitely getting darker and appearing much more quickly. I had 15 in the pack (for £2!) and only have a couple left now. I didn't realise they can start to show up negative when the hormones get too much so that is good to know! Way to send a pregnant poas addict into a panic!

I'm starting to feel quite nauseous now and just exhausted.
How's everyone else feeling?

Hi Ladies! Can I join in? Found out my BFP on 26th June, its our 5th round of IVF so cautiously optimistic as we've never got this far! Think I'm about 5w and due 2nd March according to the internet calculators? Does anyone else's ribs ache like they've pulled every single muscle? I can't even sneeze without it being agony!

LaraNotCroft22 · 02/07/2015 18:06

Welcome newbies. Reading this thread makes me want to test again Confused

It's so scary, I'm constantly knicker checking and poking my noobs to make sure they hurt, it's ridiculous!

I did a cb at four weeks which said 1-2 weeks and another a few days later which moved me into 2-3 weeks and I promised myself that was the last one!

Now 5+2 and def have sore boobs, bloating etc. I just want to get to 8 weeks when I'm going to have an early peek and hopefully see a little heartbeat. ????

Lucy61 · 02/07/2015 19:14

Very tired and sleepy and slightly on the verge of having a little cry for absolutely no reason.

Candlefairy101 · 02/07/2015 19:54

Ladies I'm panicking reading the thread, I have no sore boobs, no sickness, no bloating etc this is my 3rd and I only had a baby 9 months ago so was thinking that my symptoms would come fast and thick but nothing! Also midwife has booked me in for an early dating scan because I could be 11 weeks because my last period was a bit iffy but even so I should have symptoms ???? this time last time I was already dying (literally had HG) Confused

Candlefairy101 · 02/07/2015 19:56

Congratulations grey! Very very pleased for you! With the rib pain, are you bloated? X pregnancy does some real weird and funny unexplainable things to a women! X

maybebabybee · 02/07/2015 20:32

another one with hardly any symptoms here....slightly sore boobs, vague waves of nausea but that's it. From what I've read it can be totally normal. It's so hard but really the only thing we can do is wait an see. Which I hate doing! But there really isn't anything else to be done.

I feel like I wasted all 5.5 weeks of my last pregnancy totally freaking out and POAS, and fat lot of good it did me - I MC anyway. This time I'm really trying to chill a bit. But so hard Confused.

Definitely the 1st 3 months are agonising , I'm worried because my first 2 pregnancies I had sore boobs as the 1st sign, I literally have nothing apart from the occasional tiredness but that could be looking after a 4 and 9 month old lol x god I pray I get my early dating scan soon just to either put me at rest or just so I know if you know what I mean?

shieldbug · 02/07/2015 21:04

Ladies, as someone who has also had a mc (baby stopped developing at 5-7 weeks but didn't actually find out until 10 weeks), I think it doesn't do you any good to be anxious or keep poas. There's nothing you can do about it and some of the information you may get can be misleading. Enjoy what time you have of your pg and treasure the life. Although I ws devastated after my mc I was strangely grateful to the bean for the time I had with it, even though it was horribly short. This time, I'm just going to chill and see what happens. Easy to say, I know and I so understand anxieties about lack of symptoms/ strange symptoms, but I'm going to try to take my own advice.

Lucy61 · 02/07/2015 22:24

I agree, shieldbug. You can drive your self mad testing again and again and symptom spotting. No point.

Dreya · 02/07/2015 23:08

Thank you Shieldbug. Sorry for not replying sooner. I woke up feeling horrendous today. Really exhausted, nauseaus and had a terrible headache. Like I was hungover. I took my first pregnacare vitamin yesterday and am wondering if this may have something to do with it. I've only just started to feel a bit better.
I've never used a CB test. Only ever the Tesco twin pack for £3.50!
And I look bloated. I have zero stomach muscles though!Grin Grin

Dreya · 02/07/2015 23:12

Oh, and I never had sore boobs with either of my pregnancies and used to drive myself mad comparing symptoms! I don't have them this time around either. Try not to worry ladies, I know it's easier said than done.

Chickpea1983 · 03/07/2015 05:35

I have never had sore boobs through my last pregnancy, or this one. I didn't feel bloated last time either so this is a whole new thing for me.

effie19 · 03/07/2015 07:48

Hello, I'm a newbie, due 7th March and like a few others this will hopefully be my first after a miscarriage at the start of May at 6 weeks. Hi everyone!

MovingUpwards · 03/07/2015 08:08

Welcome all newbies!

I dont know if this will help to put anyones mind at rest but this is DC4 for me and none of the 3 previous pregnancies have been the same. I had bad morning sickness once, aversion to smells with another, exhaustion with another and nothing so far with this one!

Please dont worry if you were sick last time and havent been sick yet, you wouldnt expect the baby to be exactly the same as an older DC so dont expect the pregnancy to be the same! Grin
Keeping my fingers crossed for.lots and lots of sticky beans.

BeautifulLiar · 03/07/2015 08:29

Movingupwards - so glad there's another mad one here having their fourth! I am too :) When are you due? My periods have been a bit irregular but I think Kolbe between 8th and 13th March.

I'm so excited about the time of year we'll be having our babies. Once they're out and we've recovered we've got all of spring and summer to enjoy them Smile

Candlefairy101 · 03/07/2015 08:53

Same here moving upwards! I'm in my 3rd. The 1st I ate and are and are! I'm inly a size six and I went up to a size 16 but I actually felt really healthy! With my 2ns I weighed less at 8 months then before I got pregnant due to HG and this time ... NOTHING lol! Xx well I'll probably swallow my words soon hahaha! How everyone feeling today? I'm so glad I found MN I let like I had no one last time because none of my friends have children Confused
