Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

QforCucumber that's bizarre because my gp gave me all the paperwork yesterday and said to fill it out and have it ready for my booking appointment. It's so long, I have filling out forms lol so you're booking appointment is two days after me :)

LaraNotCroft22 that is such a coincidence, my birthday is on the 31st July and thats why we are going to Newquay Cornwall on holiday, I'll be 8 + 2
and I wanted to see my little bean for my bday. oh I might look it up actually because it is very cheap :)

QforCucumber · 15/07/2015 15:35

rosie I haven't seen a GP at all, got told to go to this early bird appointment tomorrow which is with a local midwife where all they do is paperwork, then booking in in august.

Everywhere is so different. I was expecting this one tomorrow to be a lot more exciting, looks like I'm going to be very underwhelmed.

RM82 I think even if you've been through it before it's still all changed, this is my 2nd pregnancy and even at my 8 week mmc previously, I hadn't seen anyone at all by then - Only went to EPAU due to agonising pains. This time I'll have had my booking appointment at least by that duration.

b0nker5Mum · 15/07/2015 15:43

Hello ladies, can I join??

Got my bfp last week and still in shock!! By my dates I am only 4+5 (18/3) but my lmp puts me at 5+1 (15/3).

I have booked an early scan in for 28th when I'll be 6+4 (or 7) because we are going away on 30th with family so all going well will tell them at the airport... Had one at the same time with ds and showed a hb so hoping for the same..

Rosieblossom123 · 15/07/2015 16:06

QforCucumber you're right, everywhere is different, just not looking forward to the paperwork! I want the part where they book the scan haha

julesldn · 15/07/2015 16:31

RM82 - ive also been having the same! Wasn't sure what it was at the start (felt like quite bad period pain) but read about it in a book and it says it's your uterus stretching and preparing itself so whenever I feel those pains I think of the baby growing and that keeps me positive :) also figured it was my body starting to prep me for labour so I try and 'breath through it' if that makes sense. Sounds silly and may be wrong but works for me! hope it helps you too xx

SoozeyHoozey · 15/07/2015 17:21

Saw my doctor week I found out. First appointment with midwife is next Monday, I'll be about 8 weeks?

dobbythedoggy · 15/07/2015 18:22

RM28 I've had those pains too. Also sharp shooting cramp pains in the cervical area last week, which scared me. Apparently the cervic pulling up.

I'd forgotten how awful morning sickness can make you feel. It doesn't help that I can't stop thinking about food, trying to work out if there's anything I fancy eatting. I'll settle on something, maybe even make a trip to the shop, then not be able to face cooking it and eatting it. Or I'll be able to eat and it comes back to haunt me!

Also under estimated how hard it would be to look after a 2 year old. I was responsable for 18 when I was pregnant with dd...

RM82 · 15/07/2015 19:00

Thank you Qforcucumber julesldn and dobby It is so reassuring that it is not just me and you guys have the same and it's just our bubs growning - so exciting - I'm certainly going to view it as a positive thing when I feel it next. It has settled down since I finished work - don't think my work trousers help - struggling to do them up already!!! So bloated.
x

QforCucumber · 15/07/2015 19:10

The bloating is awful isn't it - i'm sure I look 5 months pregnant already some days, got away with a maxi dress and scarf at work today. Will shop this weekend for some nice comfy next size up work trousers [grin,

dobbythedoggy · 15/07/2015 20:19

One of the most useful things I've been told by the midwife so far is if pain/cramping changes when you move around, strech, go for a walk or after, rest, lie down on opposite side to pain, having a big drink it's usually just your body adjusting. Gives me a list of things to do when I want to panic anyway.

Dh has been talking to a lady at work, who just had a mc, (our dates with the pregnancy I mc would have been similar). I was really bloated over the weekend so he came home monday night telling me I needed to go for a walk. I could have throtled him as we both walk everywhere and I'd been out for a good couple of hours with him and dd on the saturday to do the food shopping. While his friend is lovely he takes her world as gospal, so morning sickness isn't that bad, I shouldn't be worried about lifting dd, and I generally need to just get on with things more. From what I can gather she had pretty much symptom free pregnancies. It did hit home to him when I described morning sickness on par with a vomiting bug we both had when we were first married; no amount of positive thinking and ginger will shift it!

julesldn · 15/07/2015 20:21

Im also struggling with the morning sickness dobby! Although feel like I've been lied to all these years as it's not morning sickness it's all bloody day sickness ???????????? im exactly the same. Wonder round the shops like Ooo I fancy that and then get home and either don't want it or end up feeling awful/throwing up the rest of the day. Yuk!!! At the end of my tether !

dobbythedoggy · 15/07/2015 20:48

All day and night jules! Shopping is getting expensive, I hate being so wasteful. Also makes me worry about runing my fantastic eatter with the constant flow of easy meals. It comes to something when you're evaluating potential food choices on what it would be like coming back up. Unfortantly I can't see it stopping anytime soon, I think I got about 5 or 6 weeks restbite at 24 weeks before it started up again. But the food adversion, other than towards meat, stopped around 12 weeks.

Currently found that sea bands take the edge off, doesn't stop it but feels a little less worse with them on. But impossable to hide while out and about.

Paperblank · 15/07/2015 20:52

Touch wood I've escaped morning sickness so far. I do have very painful boobs though. I've just climbed into bed and they ache so much I can't bear to lie on my tummy.

5+6 tomorrow I can't believe how quickly the last two weeks have gone.

BeautifulLiar · 15/07/2015 21:26

I think I'm 6 weeks tomorrow - baby will have a heart beat!!

Yy to sickness bands being so bloody obvious. A friend dropped round today to lend me something and I had to whip them off before I got to the door!!

I think having to be up and out for the school run has definitely helped so far - I can't wallow in bed making myself more hungry and sick. But they break up on Wednesday so I won't have that crutch anymore!

julesldn · 15/07/2015 22:17

Oh dear dobby I hope it doesn't last that long!! Quite a few people I know have said it ended around 12-16 weeks so I'm pretending that's what happens to everyone and I'll be fine soon ????

julesldn · 15/07/2015 22:18

Oh and I've heard great things about the sickness bands too so need to get some but especially in the summer they'll be impossible to hide! Argh!

I'm 6+4 and my symptoms have disappeared. I have an appointment with my GP next week and he's going to give me a scan. I can't wait.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 15/07/2015 22:38

Tentatively would like to join this thread. I got faint BFP on Sunday at 9dpo and every morning since the BFP has got stronger and is showing a nice pink line on frer now. My history is I have 2 ds's but since the youngest was born I have had 5 mc's ( we get pregnant every month we try but just can't seem to hang on to them). One spontaneous at 6 weeks, a mmc at 6w4days, a spontaneous at 5w3 days, a spontaneous at 5 weeks and the last one I suppose they would class as a chemical pregnancy. Am on progesterone and clexane since yesterday, as tested positive for lupus anticoagulant. Didn't dare join antenatal threads for the last 3 bFp's, but just feel like this one might last the distance. The lines on the tests are stronger than the last 3 pregnancies, I had implantation pinky mucus when I wiped, my boobs feel sore and it's the first time I've been given clexane so early, plus I feel like I'm due a break!! So am hoping I am not tempting fate but am trying to get into a positive mindset that I will be having this baby in March. If I can just get past the 9-10 week point where the risks massive reduce I might start to relax a bit!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 15/07/2015 22:44

Re morning sickness, if you have got it really bad and it's all day long, you could well have HG. Someone I know suffered terribly with it, was hospitalised umpteen times, had to threaten abortion with her first child for anyone in nhs to help her. Her second child was delivered by Cs 4-5 weeks early because her health was so at risk if the pregancy continued. If you search facebook for HG warriors she and a few others are on a mission to help anyone cursed with HG, to offer support, information and real advice and solutions on how to cope and survive the pregnancy and get the treatment that sufferers need.

Missdee2014 · 15/07/2015 23:33

Do any of you on here suffer from hayfever? I suffer terribly and normally take citirizine but have been advised to come off it, which I have and no one seems to want to give me an alternative. I've tried gp, pharmacist and midwife and they all seem to be telling me to see the other for advice. Everything I read seems to say not recommended in pregnancy Hmm

Hello, can I join you? Got a bfp yesterday after a thread on chat Blush bit of a surprise, that. Not sunk in at all yet. This would be DC3 and I'm due second half of March - not very clear on my dates. Congrats on all the bfps Smile

Kittykitty05 · 16/07/2015 08:11

Anyone getting racing heart and dizziness? I can't decide if it's a pregnancy thing or related to heart thing I have. Apparently my doctors are booked up for today already Angry

maybebabybee · 16/07/2015 08:40

My boob soreness seems to have gone which was my only real symptom. They do still hurt but only when squeezed so I'm worried.

RE: morning sickness, I don't think I really have nausea, but I do have like a churned up, acidic feeling in my tummy if that makes sense - anyone else?
