Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Rosie it might be worth going back again and saying your health is suffering because of the anxiety. she may be more willing to give you one then.

Rosieblossom123 · 15/07/2015 11:01

maybebabybee I might do but my partner thinks i'm mad he keeps telling me to chill out and stop worrying. Maybe I do need to chill out a bit lol

dobbythedoggy · 15/07/2015 11:05

When I first saw my gp rosie he recomended I saw the midwife early so I could get in as soon as possiable for the dating scan. I was meant to book in today but had already seen the midwife a couple of times for a reassurance chat. After the scan yesterday I moved it more in line with the 8 weeks. Do you think it would help to have someone to talk to? I could just chat about the entirely normal niggles that were worrying me despite having a perfectly healthy first pregnancy before mc.

maybebabybee · 15/07/2015 11:12

Rosie I'm sure we all need to chill out but it's easier said than done isn't it :)

Rosieblossom123 · 15/07/2015 11:25

dobbythedoggy well my midwife appointment is on the 3rd August and the week before we will be in Cornwall on holiday so my partner said it's round the corner so I might just wait and have faith that this time everything will be okay and maybebabybee defo easier said than done, I think it's normal to be worried until you see you little bean :)

maybebabybee · 15/07/2015 11:32

I actually have my dissertation due in on September 14th when I will be about 14 weeks - I'm telling myself that such deadlines always sneak up very quickly so I'm hoping that will also make time pass quicker!

I keep having little funny stomach things but I'm not sure if it's hunger or nausea...weird.

LilyRose16 · 15/07/2015 12:10

Hi all

Just registered, been reading lots of chats all week, im 6/7 weeks with my first very excited!

Maybebabybee i feel exactly the same, i feel starving and sick at the same time, not very pleasant! The smell of savoury food is now turning me off so im sticking to sweet foods at the moment. Helping so far.

hazellnut56 · 15/07/2015 12:30

Congrats all! Had 6+4 scan yesterday we have a heartbeat!!!! ????????

Rosieblossom123 · 15/07/2015 12:45

Congrats hazellnut56 I bet you are so relieved :)

Kittykitty05 · 15/07/2015 12:47

Rosie sadly multiple miscarriage isn't unusual, nor are unsympathetic gps! Might be worth seeing if you can self refer to your local epu, some you can, there's a website to tell you...
I've had 2 mmc and a stillborn earlier this year, due to chromosome abnormality, (T13). Under normal doctors I'm not entitled to any extra scans. Fortunately the consultant I was under earlier this year is fantastic and would normally see me at 8 weeks, but he's on hols, then 10 weeks but I'll be away, so I'm not seeing anyone till 11 weeks.
Not heard from mw yet, dropped my form in a week ago with a query as to whether I need to take small dose aspirin as I did last time and they've not called me back still, and they also know of my rather shitty pregnancies. Feels slightly uncaring! If I don't get booked in by end of next week, I'm away most of the summer hols, so will be seriously late! Oh well DIY care!

maybebabybee · 15/07/2015 12:50

lovely news hazell, must be a relief!

my booking appt isn't til 12 August when I'll be 9 weeks. Feels a little late!

RhubarbAndMustard · 15/07/2015 13:28

Hi everyone, can I join your thread please. I am 5+4 weeks with #2. Due 12th March. Impatiently waiting for my booking in apt and first scan seems ages away. I definitely need a dose of the chill pill advice from here!

Congrats hazel must have been the best sound in the world.

maybebabybee · 15/07/2015 13:31

welcome rhubarb :)

LazyDaisy99 · 15/07/2015 13:36

Congrats hazel is that our first scan ladies?

I'm feeling very behind, not even made it to the gp yet as still on holiday, got my appointment booked for next Tuesday when I'll be 6 weeks. Usually holidays fly by and I don't want to go home but can't wait now!! Also, really stressing about the heat here, it's 35 degrees and I can't just sit in the hotel room when I've come all this way but totally paranoid about overheating and doing harm. Can't wait to be home.

QforCucumber · 15/07/2015 13:54

lazy I'm jealous very much of your holiday self - get out there and enjoy your last child free one Smile
Think I'm the same date as you, 5 weeks yesterday.

Can't quite believe I've only know a week, seems like forever. keep smiling to myself at work knowing I have this little secret.

Rosieblossom123 · 15/07/2015 14:04

Kittykitty05 i'm sorry hun :( fingers crossed this baby will be a healthy bub :)
I read online on my local EPU and they said you have to be referred by your gp :( so looks like I'll have to wait, you know the cheeky thing is that gp was like if you want you could do a private scan and I could tell you which clinic is the best, really is she dumb??? haha

Hubby really doesn't want me to do an early one he keeps saying we'll do it when it's the right time! :( also don''t worry it seems like everyone is seeing their midwife early apart from me (3rd August).

maybebabybee same here i'll be 8weeks and 5 days which i think is late too?

RhubarbAndMustard welcome :)

LazyDaisy99 it looks like it is our first scan, it'll be interesting to see when we've all had ours :)
I'm on holiday from the 25th July to 1st August and I'm excited but at the same time I want it to end quickly coz midwife appointment is two day after we come back :)

QforCucumber · 15/07/2015 14:26

rosie my one tomorrow is apparently a paperwork thing, actual midwife appointment booking in thingy isn't until the 4th august - 8 weeks exactly that day - looks like they're all around the same really.

LazyDaisy99 · 15/07/2015 14:35

Sorry, didn't mean to winge 'poor me, I'm on holiday' I should be grateful I know.... Just been planning it a while and now I'm too hot and throwing up!

Hope everyone's appointments go ok xx

Brindler · 15/07/2015 14:35

My booking appt arrived today for 12 August when I'll be 8+3. In my area you now have to fill in a self referral form online to the local hosp! Very strange!

dobbythedoggy · 15/07/2015 14:36

8 weeks is normal here. I've arranged mine, again, for the 30th july. Going by the dating from the scan yesterday I'll be 8+3.

RM82 · 15/07/2015 14:39

Hey ladies, I hope we are all well and hello newbies Smile

Major panic on today – started getting really sharp ‘internal’ shooting pains in my uterus this morning – only intermittent but forced me to phone the fertility clinic sisters and have a chat – apparently if there is no bleeding (not had any) then nothing to worry about Hmm and it is my body loosening up in that area – I’m not convinced – but I guess I’m panicking a bit – back and forth to the loo to check!

Has anyone else had these types of pains? I’m 5+1 today (1st pregnancy) – got my scan at fertility Friday 24th (seems an age away)

Very nervous time

LaraNotCroft22 · 15/07/2015 14:42

Rosie, my early scan is £59 for twenty mins and pics, having it at 8+1. Purely going on that date as it's my birthday and hoping to get a good surprise.

Where ru holidaying in Cornwall? That's where I am! The scans in a place called baby skan studio in Truro.

marmitemofo · 15/07/2015 14:53

I think 8-9 weeks is normal for booking in appt. I'll be 8+1 at mine. with DD I rang my drs at 5 weeks and they said they don't do booking in appts earlier than 8 weeks as that's when risk of mc is highest Sad it was a bit of a wake up call at the time. I ended up booking an appt with the gp at 6 weeks just to check what I should be doing and if I should change my diet in any way (I'm a vegetarian). this time I'm a bit more relaxed and haven't bothered to book an appt with my gp. hope being more blasé about it doesn't come to bite me in the arse later... Confused

rm82 I'm 5+3 and also have had funny pains occasionally in my pelvic area the last couple days. was just assuming it was hormonal although at the edge of my brain was slightly concerned, so glad to hear its not just me

marmitemofo · 15/07/2015 14:55

*blase (damn autocorrect)

RM82 · 15/07/2015 14:57

marmite Glad it is just not me too - so uneasy with it all as not knowing what to expect and what is normal - Nurse must have thought me mad lol x
