Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Hi I hope you don't mind me joining :) I go a bfp on 9dpo, I couldn't believe it, a week before I was due. Due date is 9th March, don't know about you girls but i'm driving myself mad with testing!! every other day, I took a clear blue digital test when I found out I was pregs and it said 1-2 weeks, then last week it said 3+ so I need to stop testing now haha

6 weeks tomorrow, fingers crossed its a sticky bean xxxx

treehousethunderstorm · 14/07/2015 12:31

Hi everyone,

No nausea here yet, only mild pains in the pelvic region when I think about them, and slight breast tenderness when I give them a poke.

I have been thinking about paying for a private reassurance scan at 8-9 weeks but about 5 years ago I had an ultrasound relating to painful periods and was told that (unrelated) I had a retroverted uterus - does this mean that it would be harder to see anything at an early scan...I don't want to further worry myself unnecessarily! Confused

treehousethunderstorm · 14/07/2015 12:37

oh and whilst we were ttc I cut down to one cup of tea, first thing in the morning, and mint tea (caffeine free) for the rest of the day.

dobbythedoggy · 14/07/2015 12:50

Very relieved, seen a speck of a baby with a heart beat. Measuring 6+1, so a few days out from what I throught. So good to see, and no evidence of bleeding so spotting may well have been just implsantation.

Hope your scan has gone well too hazel.

Welcome to everyone new.

BeautifulLiar · 14/07/2015 13:18

Welcome newbies and congrats dobby! How far along did you think you were?

Any ideas what I can do tomorrow? I'll have the 4 and 2 year old here, and there are no toddler groups on. I don't want to do too much but if I just sit around all day then I'll notice the nausea more...

Me624 · 14/07/2015 13:21

Congrats dobby! How far out were the dates? I'm 6+4 going by LMP but I think when I go for my early scan they may well put me back a few days as my cycle is 32 days on average. Having said that I was doing OPKs and ovulated on day 15 before we got our bfp so maybe it will be about right.

dobbythedoggy · 14/07/2015 13:33

I concieved this one during wtf cycle after mc, so didn't have too much of an idea. GP dateded it as 7 weeks today, I was thinking 6+5 from when I think I ovulated. So only a few days out.

Hi Ladies,

Congrats dobby

I'm 5 weeks today - no sickness really but I can no longer eat bananas - so strange as yesterday I was fine but today Confused made me feel awful!! Wore off and felt fine 20 mins later.

Feeling twinges now and again and boobs so sore!! Came home from work and fell asleep on the sofa for 2 hours, feel like I could sleep for a week!! Housework still to be done but can't be bothered.

I'm a bit of a tea belly too - luckily we make our own tea in the office, so I've just switched to decaf Tetley - not the same but does the job. I am struggling to not drink my cans of diet pepsi though - not a great habit, may have to buy decaffeinated pop!

Indomitable · 14/07/2015 18:22

Hello, I'm Indomitable (it's an aspirational name!) and I've just got the faintest BFP (at 12DPO).

If it sticks, this will be #2. (DS is 4, it's been a while since I did this!)

I'm unreasonably (and probably unwisely) excited right now!

The table in my old book (#oldschool) reckons due date would be 26th March.

QforCucumber · 14/07/2015 18:28

Welcome indomitable (I have no idea wat that means) and good luck!
everyone here is very supportive, and it's good to know others are going through similar symptoms Grin
time for a lukewarm bubble bath - I do miss red hot baths at the minute, ache all over.

Discovered a liking for pineapple and grapefruit green teaSmile

marmitemofo · 14/07/2015 18:30

hi indomitable! Grin

Missdee2014 · 14/07/2015 18:36

Congrats and welcome to the newbies Grin

First MW appointment done and dusted. Quite disappointed though as it was basically a form filling (albeit on computer) exercise. Didn't take bp, urine or bloods. To go back 2 weeks today to have those kind of things done.

QforCucumber · 14/07/2015 18:44

*what not wat!!

Indomitable · 14/07/2015 18:44

Hi Marmite! Grin

Thanks for the welcomes.

DH still claims he can't see anything on the test. It's flipping obvious to me (though faint). Going to get a digital one at the weekend (as long as I'm still in the game, of course). By the time I POAS with DS AF was already over a week late and there was no mistaking it! Although, at 3+4 I've added a fortnight to this pregnancy already, which I may regret down the line...

Missdee you've already had a midwife appointment?! That's swift! How far along are you? I can't remember when I had the first one with DS.

I knew I shouldn't have tested. How am I going to keep this to myself for 3 more days?!

I didn't think they did bloods etc at booking in appt? iirc with DD a couple years ago the booking in appt was about an hour or so of me and DP going through our medical and family history. bloods etc wasn't till second appt..

indomitable my DP couldn't see the line at 12dpo and I was convinced it was there. at 14dpo was slightly darker and he could see it. didn't get strong line till 17dpo. I'm waiting till next week and gonna get a digi test as I'm hoping to see 3+ on it.

still not many symptoms here except tiredness and the odd stabby boob. tummy a bit dodgy at times but not full on nausea yet... trying not to read too much into it, I'm only 5+2!

Paperblank · 14/07/2015 19:21

My booking in appt is on Saturday and my midwife said it was probably going to be a bit boring! I am still excited about it though, I will be 6+1 on Saturday.

I had my GP apt yesterday. I already knew I would be under the consultant because:

  1. I am diabetic
  2. I have a high BMI
  3. I am an old gimmer

From the sounds of things I will be at the hospital every week, Just as long as this baby arrives safe and sound that's all that matters.

Me624 · 14/07/2015 19:56

I hope they take bloods at my booking in too, I can't get time off work all the time for extra appointments. How much of my DH's medical history do I need to know, what sort of things will they ask?

treehousethunderstorm · 14/07/2015 20:08

Ah great thank you eightdollars

Kittykitty05 · 14/07/2015 20:40

It's generally medical history stuff, antenatal history, etc and generally repeated several times! My doctors give a folder of notes but as I want to deliver under a different trust to the one my doctors is with, I refused to take the notes (I know I need a different pack), I though the receptionist was going to explode!
With my last pregnancy, I'd filled in my notes for her, so booking in took 10 mins!

Kittykitty05 · 14/07/2015 20:41

me624 it's mainly your medical history, unless anything significant on your hubby's side.

Me624 · 14/07/2015 21:10

Thanks kitty that's good to know. I know the basics of DH's medical history so that should be fine.

marmitemofo · 14/07/2015 21:18

me624 if its your first pregnancy you'll have quite a few appts and legally you have to be allowed to take time off work to attend antenatal appts
