Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

yes, has anyone got any good excuses? I think my scan will probably be at the end of the summer hols. I've got someone I can ask to watch the kids, but what can I tell her?!

BeautifulLiar · 11/07/2015 12:20

Also I started getting very stressed yesterday as I had dark yellow spotting and symptoms had all but gone, but I have definitely felt nauseous today!

What's everyone and their bumps doing today? We're going to an ice cream parlour then tonight takeaway with a friend. Luckily I told her I'm pregnant so she knows why I've suddenly gone off wine!

warriorbot · 11/07/2015 13:11

I found dental appointments to be a great excuse! Work must think I never brush by now, after all the IVF scans. Grin

I was at a clinic that is based within a dental hospital, so that helped with the fib. I wasn't worried about anyone seeing me go in. And if I didn't want to talk after I could just feign terrible toothache.

Hello!

Anyone mind if I mark my place now to join in later? I got my BFP on Thursday, so I make myself 4+4 - there or thereabouts anyway Smile

Not much in the way of symptoms currently, sporadic queasiness mostly.
I already have a DS aged 2.3

ThursdayLast · 11/07/2015 15:23

So my EDD is 14/15/16 March depending on what data I enter Grin

Missdee2014 · 11/07/2015 16:12

I am so tired today, tempted to have a nap with my oh and the kids watch crap on the telly before we go out for dinner.

Missdee2014 · 11/07/2015 16:12

Not with, while.

Missdee2014 · 11/07/2015 17:37

Bad idea. Had the nAp n now don't want to go out at all. Can't get out of it cos the kids r looking forward to it Hmm

Poppins27 · 11/07/2015 20:26

Can I please join this group, found out on Thursday that I'm approx 5 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 who is due on or around 10th March, dd turns 4 on the 3rd of March (but was due on the 10th!!). Will be crossing legs to avoid a birthday baby brother/sister!! Wink

No symptoms as yet but keeping quiet as I said this last time then from 6-24 weeks was the queen of sickness!!

Also concerned on how to keep this under wraps as I am currently 4 months into a health/fitness drive with my 2 sister in laws, weekly weight watchers meetings and 3/4 gym sessions a week!! My trainer at the gym is also a colleague from my day job so original plan of getting a pregnancy safe workout so the sisters don't get suspicious would involve telling the trainer who would probably blab at work?! Gah!!

Feels naughty talking about my pregnancy 'out loud' on here!!

JoannaZZ · 11/07/2015 21:42

Yay, am booked in for an early scan at the end of July when I'm about w8+4. Main reason for wanting one was that we'll have to tell bfs mum quite soon after that and I would feel uncomfortable telling her before checking everything looks ok (it's her first grandchild so she will be super excited).

Does anyone know how much you can see on a scan at that time?

JoannaZZ · 11/07/2015 21:44

Welcome Poppins, congrats on the plus! Sounds tricky with the fitness thing, I can't think of any way around it other than telling them the truth. Maybe ask them to keep it secret?

Embolio · 11/07/2015 22:35

Welcome to all the new ladies and congratulations on your bfp's Flowers

poppins the gym trainer shouldn't blab at work surely? She'd be breaking client confidentiality. Otherwise could you fake a mild injury so you could avoid anything too strenuous?

Mrsrsw · 11/07/2015 23:08

I'm telling my boss on Tuesday as it's the last time I'll see him for about 4 weeks as we both have back to back hols and I want to make some adjustments to my work (I have to travel a lot at the moment!) Think it will be about 6 weeks then.

My immediate family and in laws know already as I had to tell them as I was up visiting and they would have guessed when I didn't have a drink and started drinking decaf coffee haha

Only 1 other person knows who is my best friend who's due just ahead of me which is fab.

Been an odd day today, I've been really tired but no nausea today and not as many aches and pains. Funny how you start to get paranoid when you don't get them! I'm just hoping and praying everything is going to be OK!

julesldn · 12/07/2015 01:33

Can I join too..? Smile

Found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago - completely in shock! But starting to get excited now. Think I'm due March 5th but not exactly sure as im terrible with remembering dates of my period.

Feeling exhausted and nauseous all the time but hoping it will pass soon. Congrats to everyone else Grin x

marmitemofo · 12/07/2015 07:42

hi newbies! Grin

Joanne you can see a fair amount I think - my DPs brother and SIL had an early scan due to spotting (everything was fine in the end and she's 7mths now) and it looked like a peanut with a leg (her words!)

Snowberry86 · 12/07/2015 07:44

I got my bfp yesterday at 12dpo and cycle day 31.

This will be baby number 1 and have been ttc for 18 months, we had an appointment at the fertility clinic booked in for September!

JoannaZZ · 12/07/2015 07:57

Congratulations snowberry, well done for persisting for so many months! It took us 8 months and it felt like forever!

Welcome jules, if you're not sure about the date I think they can tell from the US scan later on.

Thanks marmite, I would love to see a peanut with a leg in there! Very excited now :)

Kittykitty05 · 12/07/2015 08:07

Peanut with legs is an excellent description for that stage, the limbs buds are growing at that stage but aren't full limbs. If you can then get a 10 week scan seeing the difference is amazing!

snowberry we had similar when we were under fertility and told we wouldn't conceive naturally, none of us knew I was actually pregnant with dd at the time! We since managed to fall 3 times, so I'm now not convinced on our fertility issue thing.

jules they date by scans now rather than dates once you've had the first scan, so a rough idea is enough. I'm due 5th March too!

Poppins27 · 12/07/2015 08:52

An injury....didn't think if that!! Thank you Embilo!! My back does feel a bit iffy Wink

Thank you!!

We've decided to try and get to 8 weeks at least before spilling the beans, then will have little choice as a few occasions and outings planned...and I'm certainly not one for orange juice unnecessarily!!

Poppins27 · 12/07/2015 08:53

Sorry *Embolio

docmcstuffins1 · 12/07/2015 09:28

Hi everyone, can I join? I think I' about 5.5-6 weeks pregnant, masking me due the 2nd week of March. I'm not too sure though as I have no LMP to go off. I had my coil taken out on the 20th of May. Did a PT 5 weeks later as I had not had a period, and to my shock (and joy!) it was positive. Did another CBD a few days ago which said 3+ weeks so definitely a March baby. Got a Drs appt on Tuesday, so hoping they'll send me for an early scan to find out. Really excited and trying not to tell the whole world!

LaraNotCroft22 · 12/07/2015 12:24

Welcome newbies! This bus is definitely getting busy!

Currently suffering terribly with feeling tired all the time and starting to feel nauseous too. I'm 6+5.

Hard to do anything except lie on sofa when ds1 has his nap. I really should be getting on with house work, but it can wait, right?! Wink

Herewegoagain31 · 12/07/2015 14:07

Hi everyone new and congratulations!
Lara I'm also lying on the sofa making the most of DD's nap time! Have no energy at the moment at all and I'm so so fed up of food holding no appeal, I wanted to cry at the thought of making/eating supper last night. Food is usually such a joy in my day so it's hard not to want to eat anything and feel sick all the time. Sorry, moan over! I know it's just a few weeks of this so I need to suck it up. 7+1 today so 5 weeks to go!

OP posts:
BeautifulLiar · 12/07/2015 14:23

Hope everyone's not feeling too sick! God its like waiting for the axe to fall. I think I'm about 5+3, and I've got that horrible taste in my mouth all the time!

This is the first time I've been pregnant since DH passed his driving test (I've been driving for years) so I randomly thought today it'll be so nice to sit in the back and stare at baby in the front seat when we go out in the car! Smile

Snowberry86 · 12/07/2015 14:37

No sickness here, but then I'm only about 4+3.

Pinky/browny tinge to discharge this afternoon when I wiped, it's happened once a day for past 3 days. Only got bfp yesterday so will try see GP early this week for some reassurance everything is ok.
