Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

RM82 I had a hen do last weekend! I had literally found out I was pregnant that morning and then had to go off at lunchtime. I told everyone I was on medication, I'm sure they probably suspect but no one said anything. The wedding (which my DH is also best man at!) is at the end of August when I'll be 13 weeks so as long as everything has gone well then I can tell everyone the real reason then!

chelle792 · 10/07/2015 16:26

Hi. I was wondering if I could join your group. I haven't read back thread yet but will when I get chance. I had the faintest positive yesterday and still today another very faint. I rang the gp and apparently I don't need to see anyone until the midwife in August. Seems ages away to have no care! I'm not due on until tomorrow so... Yeah, that's me SmileBlush

Can anyone put my mind at rest.. I did a pregnancy test on Monday and it came up positive as you know. I had a blood test done today and the results came back that although I am pregnant, my hcg level is only 59. I'm really worried now as the clinic would liked it to have been higher. I've decided to go back on Monday and do another blood test and hope the levels has risen. Any advice?

Me624 · 10/07/2015 18:37

How many days since your last period flyingbex?

flyingbex · 10/07/2015 18:53

3 weeks 5 days was day 1

Embolio · 10/07/2015 18:56

Would someone add me to the list too please? I can't do it from my phone Flowers

shieldbug I'm 36 so no spring chicken!

Exhausting day at work today, I need to go straight to bed!

Me624 · 10/07/2015 19:22

The number looks ok to me flyingbex according to all the online charts.

Embolio · 10/07/2015 19:24

smallbird I'll be telling work when I'm back from my holiday week next week. I'm a nurse working in theatres so have to for health and safety reasons (moving and handling, X-ray exposure, infectious patients etc).
Last time I was pregnant I was community based so not the same issues, but think I told them at about 10 weeks.

Embolio · 10/07/2015 19:25

Meant to say, I'll be about 7 weeks when I tell them this time.

flyingbex · 10/07/2015 19:30

Thank you Me624. What chart did you use?

Herewegoagain31 · 10/07/2015 19:59

Does anyone have any good food suggestions for suppers that aren't making them feel nauseous? The thought of food just makes me shudder at the moment, I can eat it when it's put in front of me (as long as it doesn't contain too much green veg.. that properly turns my stomach right now!) but the thought of preparing/cooking when nothing tempts me is just depressing. The only thing I actually fancy at the moment is cheese and tomato pizza - and obviously cannot eat that every night as it's not the most healthy! Just wondered if anyone else had struck upon a good meal

Flyingbex I just googled hcg levels and looked at the first few results. Eg this one: www.pregnancyloss.info/hcg_levels.htm

flyingbex · 10/07/2015 20:11

marmitemofo · 10/07/2015 20:23

I also have no idea how I'm going to keep it secret. went to a BBQ last weekend and was so obviously not drinking that my friend (privately) asked if I was pregnant! it's my 30th birthday in three weeks how the hell am I going to explain away not drinking?!

Dreya · 10/07/2015 20:52

Shieldbug I am nearly 39 so no spring chicken either! Grin

RM82 · 10/07/2015 21:32

me624 blimey - I bet your head was all over the place at the hen doo!! Flowers
Oh my friends will defo suspect - they know we are on fertility treatment so they will be looking out for it! Phoned my mum earlier, so difficult as I so wanted to tell her (we live 400 miles from my family) but we feel it is defo too soon x

RM82 · 10/07/2015 21:40

herewegoagain31 You poor thing, I'm not suffering with any sickness yet - which is just as well as I love my food!! ;)

I am very tired at the moment though, so the other night I made a really Lazy meal which I really enjoyed - I heated up some microwavable brown rice, chopped some pre-cooked chicken up into small pieces - and added some jalapenos (obv not everyones taste) and tomato and stirred it all through with some salt and pepper - took about 2 mins and it was quite nice - i'm no food snob lol x

Embolio · 10/07/2015 21:52

I recommend m&s flapjack minibites! Have just eaten five.

Paperblank · 10/07/2015 22:18

Marmite I am in the same boat...going out with friends tomorrow night, got friends coming on Sunday, my hen do is in 3 weeks and I am getting married in 8 weeks.

I am 5 weeks today and there is no way I can keep this secret much beyond next weekend. It is a lovely secret to have though.

marmitemofo · 10/07/2015 22:31

it's so difficult isn't it? I'm out with friends tomorrow night and going to have to come up with a good excuse. I'm terrible at lying as well! I know you're 'not supposed' to tell before the scan but with DD we told close family at 6 weeks (just couldn't keep it in) and close friends at 8 weeks. I think we'll probably end up telling close friends after the booking in scan and when I celebrate my birthday (9 weeks). I know its not the done thing but if anything terrible happens I'd rather people know and it be out in the open. a close friend of mine had a mmc last year and told me after the fact, I still feel sad I couldn't be there for her. the crazy side of my brain worries I'll jinx it then I remind myself life doesn't work that way!

Me624 · 11/07/2015 05:40

I've got a private scan coming up at 8 weeks and we're planning to tell our parents after that and I will probably tell my best friend too. Everyone else is going to wait till 12 or maybe even a bit later as I won't be able to tell work until 14 (my boss starts his two week holiday the day I turn 12 weeks so will have to wait till he gets back) and I don't want it accidentally getting back to anyone there before I've told him officially. I'm already nervous about telling work even though it's weeks away!

QforCucumber · 11/07/2015 08:46

We had to tell bil and fil last night as fil was determined to fill me with wine as it was Friday haha. A very close frind of mine knows (was her who said I should test so couldn't not tell her the results) and dp knows of course. That's all for us for now, we had told lots of pepole last time due to me being very poorly - and to have to tell them all about mmc was awful!

QforCucumber · 11/07/2015 08:47

Pepole?? Wow I'm half asleep! People!

Kittykitty05 · 11/07/2015 10:22

I was hoping not to tell anyone till harmony results are back and 12/13 weeks and I know fairly surely (hopefully) everything is ok this time. However I'm having harmony/consultant appointment in summer hols so will need someone to have the kids...planning needed!
