Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Also looking forward to doing all the shopping in the January sales hah!

BeautifulLiar · 09/07/2015 19:13

cucumber and eight - just what I needed, I can't stop smiling right now! Didn't think of those. I remember how soul destroying it was sleep training my late November born through the light evenings.

My two penny's worth: they're half way through the school year, so neither too young, nor too old for school.

We'll be at our biggest November - March, so won't be waddling around in the stifling months looking at you late August born son

QforCucumber · 09/07/2015 19:16

I do have one con but only for us really - dp's brother, dad and niece are all March birthdays argh!

BeautifulLiar · 09/07/2015 19:20

My dad and SIL are March birthdays (although too late to clash with due date). But we don't really talk to them!

Oh my god, will baby's birthday clash with mothers day in future years?!?! It's on the 6th next year if anyone's due then
...

Embolio · 09/07/2015 19:50

March is a good month I think for all the above reasons.

I had chinese tonight BAD BAD BAD as i'm trying to be healthy, i just felt too exhausted to cook after doing kids adventurous baked potatoes!

I do the week countdown too - so right now i'm waiting for 5 weeks (tomorrow) and then I'll count down to 6. 8 and 12 are like mini milestones etc (heh i'm such a saddo). I don't quite believe it still, i told a couple of mum friends today and then fretted all afternoon about jinxing myself somehow!

I've been away for a few days in England (I live in NI- any others out there?) and the thread has moved on another 9 pages or so! Only just caught up.

So sorry to hear of early losses; look after yourselves and do allow yourselves to grieve. Even if the baby was only around for a short while, it's still a painful loss.

I too already have a March baby (13/03/13, which is quite cool) and his birth was followed by a hot summer so I was glad that he wasn't tiny but just about able to cope. beautiful Mother's Day fluctuates because of Easter so clashes will only be occasional. Ds1 was christened on Mother's Day 2011 so it was extra special for me that year.

Went to the GP today and should be in the system now. However, newbies, be warned- the NHS easily loses details -it's happened to me with different issues on at least 3 occasions that I can think of; be prepared to follow things up. I was forced to do a hormonal cry with ds1 to get a booking appt!

Finding it really hard to keep this pg hidden. I'm only 5+4 but already have a bump thanks to 3 massivo fibroids which swell even more when I'm pg. I normally look 3 months pg and now (seriously) look about 5 months. Not funny.

Me624 · 09/07/2015 20:20

Can I join please? I'm 5+6, got my bfp last Friday after 16 months of ttc baby #1. Really happy but very nervous that something will go wrong, I know a number of ladies irl who have had early mc and you see it a lot on here. I've booked an early private scan for when I will be 8+1 in two weeks' time and I have my booking in appointment a week on Monday at 7+3.

Anyone else suffering muscle fatigue? My arms and legs don't seem to be able to cope with much before they start aching!

Embolio · 09/07/2015 21:50

shieldbug I'm in NI, sending a virtual high five to ya Grin I'm originally from England but have been here 7 years now. Live in Downpatrick, whereabouts are you?

Kittykitty05 · 09/07/2015 21:58

maybebabybee I've come to bed early cos my legs feel like jelly and achy. Got bit of a cold so was thinking its that, then remembered I swam quite a long way this morning! Dur! Baby brain already!

Kittykitty05 · 09/07/2015 22:00

Any good baby in tummy names? Can't remember what we referred to ds and dd as, but my stillbirth earlier this year was baby boo till we met him, so can't use that...

marmitemofo · 09/07/2015 22:33

I'm definitely looking forward to having a Spring baby this time round.. DD was a November baby and that winter was miserable, it rained constantly the first three months of her life Hmm

kitty sorry to hear about your stillborn Thanks as for bump names, I never did that with DD as we had a definite name picked out but I do know someone who's pregnant now and refers to baby in belly as 'twiglet', I have no idea why!

Paperblank · 09/07/2015 22:45

Kitty Thanks sorry for your loss.

Our babe in belly is known as Bernard. We conceived in Turkey and because our baby will be boootiful it is named after Bernard Matthews.

DP started it....

JoannaZZ · 09/07/2015 22:50

Thanks for the kebab advice, it was very tasty :) Realised I've never had one before, always thought that revolving meat looked horrible... But now I'm off all the foods I normally like and the other way around, guess it's the hormones!

Glad to hear the pros of a March baby, we didn't exactly get to choose as we were trying for 8 months, but now I'm happy to have a March baby in there :)

Kittykitty05 · 10/07/2015 08:16

paper Bernard has certainly made me smile this morning, and think I need to think of a waky name!

We weren't aiming for a particular timing either, infact this is very much a rainbow baby as we hadn't started trying after loosing our baby, but for those who believe, I really think this was God's timing, not ours.

I have friends who amuse me with meticulously planning exactly when they'll conceive, age gaps etc. we've a 4 year gap between 1&2, and if all goes well this time it'll be an 8 year gap between dd and this one! Not planned gaps at all, just life and loss...

RM82 · 10/07/2015 08:19

Morning ladies - I'm 4+3 today - still mega early so trying to contain my excitement - Really sore boobs and like a pressure 'pulling/poking' feeling in my tummy - never been pregnant before so feels really weird - is this normal at this stage?

BeautifulLiar · 10/07/2015 08:30

Definitely normal RM - in fact I'm panicking now because I haven't felt anything like that for a few days Sad is THAT normal?!

maybebabybee · 10/07/2015 08:49

I haven't felt any pulling feelings at all to be honest. Maybe a couple of small jabs but nothing else.

My mum said she had no symptoms at all until 6 weeks with any of her pregnancies.

RM82 · 10/07/2015 09:11

BeautifulLiar I read somewhere that the symptoms can come and go? the feelings in my tummy aren't constant - boobs are constantly sore however. I guess because it is different for everyone it is difficult to compare xx

Mrsrsw · 10/07/2015 09:24

Boobs are constantly sore and aches come and go throughout the day but i didn't feel sick yesterday. I've been away with work the last 2 days and I normally get travel sick on the train so I was dreading it - oddly, i felt fine and no motion sickness! What's that about?!

Got my booking in appointment through today, have had to move it back a week though as I was on hols for the original date so will be 13th Aug. not really sure what to expect so any info for a first timer would be helpful!

QforCucumber · 10/07/2015 09:35

mrs it seems so far away doesn't it, mine is the 4th August but have an 'early bird' next Thursday to fill in all the paperwork etc.

After having a Mmc at 8+2 last time I'm going to ask next week if there's any possibility of a 9 week scan, I don't think I could wait until 12 to go through that all over again :( even though I know it's still not guaranteed. So much to worry about.

Sore boobs this morning, and achey abdomen area, like period cramps - keep just thinking its not real yet.

RayofFuckingSunshine · 10/07/2015 09:50

Another new one! EDD 14th March (am on my phone currently so can't add myself to the list). I already have a nearly 6 year old who was August born, so quite looking forward to not carting a huge bump around through summer this time!

Me624 · 10/07/2015 09:55

maybebabybee I haven't got any symptoms yet either. I had sore boobs before I got my bfp and I thought it was just af coming as I usually feel sore before then. Then it went away and hasn't come back, and no sickness yet (I'm 6+0 today). Slight twinges occasionally in my belly area but tbh I'm not sure they're anything other than every day twinges! I kind of hope I do get some symptoms soon as otherwise I'll have a hard time waiting for my scan to know that this is real!
