Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Embolio, I could have written the part about lunch. I made a chicken salad in a rush and ended up with a piece of chicken, leaves and a couple of croutons. No dressing and hardly any carbs. Not good.

Just been for a wee and cramps and backache gone! Shock

dobbythedoggy · 08/07/2015 20:17

Booking appointment was a complete fail! Turned up to find out it had been cancled because the receptionist had recorded I was 6 weeks but not that the doctor wanted me booked in early. Wasn't told about is ofcourse! Rebooked for next week by the very embarased and appologetic midwife.

purplecat27 · 08/07/2015 21:07

6+3 today and the vomcano has just started erupting over here.

Dobby my booking appointment is tomorrow and I'll only be 6+4. I think they do an early access thing in LWH though so hopefully they'll be expecting me!

Mrsrsw · 08/07/2015 22:07

So sorry something xxx

Mrsrsw · 08/07/2015 22:09

I'm struggling a bit with a dull pain in my right hip - really uncomfortable when I'm sat for a long time or when I'm trying to get to sleep. Anyone else? Quick look online seems to suggest it's just growing / stretching x

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 09/07/2015 11:45

So So Sorry something.

5 weeks today and the nausea has started (unless its still my sensitive stomach from the bug I had on monday!) This is not helped by the fact that I was up and down most of the night with a baby that wouldn't settle on her own!

BeautifulLiar · 09/07/2015 12:58

Thinking of you Something Thanks

smirking - 5 weeks today here too (I think!). I felt awful yesterday but better today, so it must have been a bug.

I've bought lemon sherbets, hoping they help when the sickness does kick in!

QforCucumber · 09/07/2015 13:59

Hi all,

could I please become a part of your gang? 4 + 2 today with my first, hoping this one sticks after mmc at 8+2 a couple of years ago.

good luck ladies!

BeautifulLiar · 09/07/2015 14:18

Welcome cucumber :)

I've made tonight's tea and the smell is making me a bit Envy... next week the retching will start!

JoannaZZ · 09/07/2015 14:51

I seriously have NO energy today (5+6)!! I'm self-employed and work from home but I just can't get myself to work! I keep checking MN or falling asleep on the sofa or trying to find some food I'm not disgusted by.

Gonna make an effort to at least do the washing up but I might just fall asleep with my head in the sink.....

smallbird · 09/07/2015 15:34

Welcome cucumber!

6+3 here. The tiredness is unreal and only fizzy drinks keep the nausea at bay. Had to lie very still on the floor earlier while DD crawled round the room like a mad thing otherwise I would have been sick. Not my finest parenting there.

Working until 10pm tonight too so that'll be interesting.

I also work from home lots of the time Joanna - this afternoon I've been working from my bed which is nice! But I've been the same with the lack of motivation. What do you do? Maybe we can help motivate each other?

LazyDaisy99 · 09/07/2015 15:50

Hello everyone, please can I join you lovely ladies? I'm only 4+3 so too early to really believe it can be true! Stretchy feelings and a few days of tender boobs are all I have to report so far, I'm on holiday in 35 deg heat and paranoid about getting too hot or dehydrated, must stay relaxed...

Kittykitty05 · 09/07/2015 16:00

Fab Holiday souvenir to bring home Daisy! Congratulations and welcome

LazyDaisy99 · 09/07/2015 16:10

Hi kitty, thank you for the welcome, it is nice to have found out whilst on holiday but it's leading to a lot of googling in the relaxing afternoons, never a good thing!

QforCucumber · 09/07/2015 17:10

Google is my enemy at the moment - i'm not allowed on it anymore Sad
I jeep wanting to test again just to remind myself it's real haha - did one today and was so much darker than the one on Monday Grin

JoannaZZ · 09/07/2015 17:26

Glad it's not just me smallbird. The last few days the Pomodoro technique has worked for me, you set a timer for 25 minutes and work until it rings, then have a 5 minute break (there's a bit more to it, google it if you're interested).

But today even that only worked for 2 hours. Given myself the rest of the day off now. Sometimes you have to be kind to yourself, if you feel so crap that you would have gone home if you had a normal job I think it's best to just take it easy.

JoannaZZ · 09/07/2015 17:32

Does anyone know if kebab shops are ok when you're pregnant? I mean a decent one that's very popular and looks reasonably hygienic.

Cucumber I agree it's best to stay away from google. Although after a bit of googling today I convinced myself not to take another pregnancy test (it's almost two weeks since my BFP), don't think you can tell much from whether they get darker and it would just become another thing to worry about.

smallbird · 09/07/2015 17:38

Ooh, I'll have to look at that thanks Joanna! This evening I'm out supervising some fieldwork so at least that's easy. I'm mostly just sitting down waiting for people to come back with problems. Hopefully they won't have too many!

Welcome daisy! I've also banned myself from googling. Well, more than one search a day anyway...

dobbythedoggy · 09/07/2015 17:43

I really don't want to complain about it because I'd actually rather be feeling it than not. But I've been so feeling so sick I just want to cry. I can drink fine, orange or lime squash, but the throught of food just makes my stomach turn. A few things that don't smell can be forced down.

Going to have to come up with some sort of plan for feeding dd. Dh is a fantastic help but works morning and evening so misses breakfast and tea, and can't cook a thing! The meals I have frozen in the frezer are almost gone but even the smell of them defrosting and heating up is currently too much to stand. Think I'll habe to fill the frezer with things I can just bung in the oven.

I'm prone to googeling too. But I am trying very hard to remeber my consultants advice from last time and stick to the NHS sites. In a few weeks time I must invest in a couple of pregnancy books. I gave the ones I had away after dd was born. A moden girls guide to pregnancy, was one of the best if anyone's looking for a safe none google way of looking symptoms up. It had pretty much everything in it and a great index.

Anyone else popped a button off their trousers?

Went for yet another wee and popped the button off. I couldn't do my new trousers up yesterday so I reckon I'll be wearing a tent this time next week

maybebabybee · 09/07/2015 18:23

Joanna of course you can have a kebab :)

I'm waiting for my Indian takeaway as we speak. Om nom nom.

Meanwhile, anyone got any tips to make the first trimester go faster? I'm 4+4 today and every hour feels like a day...

BeautifulLiar · 09/07/2015 18:51

Mmm Indian takeaway, I'm having one on Sat :)

Well the good thing about this being my fourth is that there's so much going on with the other 3! times still going slow though.

Why don't you break it down into weekly chunks? So now you're counting down to 5 weeks :) exciting!

Can we list some pros to March babies?

QforCucumber · 09/07/2015 18:56

Summer off work? That's a pro for Me Grin
