Anybody else out there??! Just got my faint BFP on a first response test! Only 9DPO so shouldn't really have tested - I told myself I wouldn't till I missed my period! - but was just feeling very pregnant. My due date is showing as 1st March. This would be number 2 for me, I already have a little girl, 20 months. Only symptoms so far are very sore boobs and a snuffy nose first thing in the morning!

Hi,

I'm joining too! Had my positive yesterday morning. We have a four year old and have been trying for this baby for years.

At my surgery you can't book the midwife until you've seen the GP. I was a bit surprised this morning when I rang and the next available appointment is 30th July!

Congratulations to everyone! x

Bambini3 · 06/07/2015 16:55

Hi everyone,
I'm due 7th March!! Soooo excited!! This will be my third baby but my youngest is 10 years so feels all brand new. At the Drs on Friday! Can't stop looking at weekly development on the Internet and holding my tummySmile

Kittykitty05 · 06/07/2015 17:02

Mine has always been eating a banana before getting out of bed. Sadly can't do this this time, my 11 and 7 year old thought it really strange earlier this year when I did this, and eventually made the connection it was because I was pregnant. I need to keep this from them this time at all costs as they still find it hard having lost their brother Sad

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 06/07/2015 17:26

It was Jaffa cakes for me last time, I had to have them with me at all times! No symptoms here!

dobbythedoggy · 06/07/2015 17:39

joanna I've felt more reassured taking two digital tests despite symptoms and conventional test positives. For me I needed to know I'd made it post the 5 week mark, the point when I mc, to stop me staying rooted to the sofa. So getting the 3+ has made me feel more comfortable sticking to our normal rountie.

If you can manage it I'd surgest trying to relax. The dating on them can be really inacurate and you don't want to panic until the dating scan.

Paperblank · 06/07/2015 19:02

4+3 today and feeling fabulous. This will not last will it?

My midwife has called me for my booking in appt which seems absolutely ages away - 21st July - but it's only 2 weeks to twiddle my thumbs. I'm seeing my GP on Monda too. DP bless him is dying to come to everything.

Hope you and your beans are having a lovely Monday x

smallbird · 06/07/2015 20:19

I've decided not to do any more pregnancy tests - saving the money for the baby! I'm trying to take the attitude of what will be will be and not worry, but it's really hard.

My appointment is on the 27th, three weeks to go! Can't wait, it felt so much more real when I had notes and a scan date and everything last time.

Is anyone else finding it really hard not telling anyone? I'm so excited that I don't want to keep it to myself, but at the same time I know if it did go wrong I wouldn't want to have to tell everyone that so it makes sense to keep it to myself. I may tell my best friend but nobody else as a compromise. Have any of you started telling people yet?

BeautifulLiar · 06/07/2015 20:47

Aagghh I hope the midwives get in touch soon! It's so much better having a scan date to work towards Smile

paper - I hope it does last for you! I'm around 4+5 and today I tidied up outside, spent 2 hours sorting the pantry, curled my hair, washed vomited-on bedding... long may my energy continue!!

BeautifulLiar · 06/07/2015 20:49

small bird - I told two of my closest friends, because we went shopping and we were supposed to be buying clothes etc, which seems pointless now. Then I kept crying. Then my friend offered me brie or runny eggs for lunch, and had bought me a bottle of wine for my birthday and wanted to drink it that night!! So yep, she was told. No one else though. I've sworn DH to secrecy and I don't speak to my own family.

Although with my first three DC, I told bloody everyone I was pregnant!! it makes me cringe now! Grin

ImGoingForATwix · 06/07/2015 20:55

Welcome all newbies and so sorry gnomette ????

I'm shattered today. The exhaustion last time was like nothing I've ever experienced and I think it's gearing up again.

LaraNotCroft22 · 06/07/2015 21:33

Welcome newbies.

So sorry Gnomette. I hope you are doing as well as you can and have a lot of support.

I'm also feeling knackered, been half asleep all day. Work plus toddler plus pregnancy is hard! Zzzzzzzz

Missdee2014 · 06/07/2015 22:47

Can I join? Got my BFP this morning and retested at lunch to another BFP. Been TTC for about a year so to say we are over the moon is an understatement. This will be dc3 for me and dc1 for my other half Grin

Herewegoagain31 · 06/07/2015 22:50

I actually cried earlier I feel so sick and exhausted and awful at the moment! It is much worse than DD1 that's for sure, although has come at exactly the same time. I called my mum tonight and I'm going home to my parents next week for a couple of weeks as I feel I am barely coping with a toddler and if it gets worse in the coming weeks I am going to need help :(
Welcome to all the new people though!! Congratulations on your BFPs :)

Welcome to all the newbies! Early pregnancy scan booked - couldn't resist. Thought if it's bad news then I don't want to wait till 12 or 13 weeks to know.

Embolio · 07/07/2015 07:11

Welcome new people Smile
Commiserations to all those feeling rough, I've been very tired and a bit nauseous at times but not too bad, sore boobs on and off.
Am so tempted by an early scan! Don't know if we can really afford it though and I'd probably still fret til 12 week scan anyway, 4+6 today. Still doesn't really feel real!

Brindler · 07/07/2015 08:19

Hi ladies! I'd love to join please.

Got my bfp yesterday (all 3 of them) after 27 months of ttc dc2! We were told our best chance was with ivf and had just about given up hope! Due date appears to be 13 March

I'm so happy/excited/terrified all at once and I'm still half convinced af is going to show! I actually booked a docs appt last week for this weds as I've been feeling so horrific and suffering terrible insomnia. This now explains why!

PeggyO · 07/07/2015 08:21

Hello everyone Smile

I am 4+5 today and this is my first pregnancy. If all goes well I will be due on March 11th. Tested on Saturday as I was three days late (which is unusual for me) but wasn't really expecting a positive as had been having period-type cramps all day!

Symptoms wise, I've been feeling a bit nauseous since Friday and have a funny taste in my mouth.

When should I contact my GP? I had thought I would wait till after 6 weeks - we're going on holiday in 10 days and are away for a week, so would be at 7 weeks when we get back. I had been planning to contact the GP at that point. Do you think that's too late?!

Embolio · 07/07/2015 08:41

PeggyO I think that would be ok, I'm probably going to wait til im about 6 weeks before going to the docs, but in my area you book in at 12 weeks. If you live somewhere where the midwife sees you at 8 weeks you might have trouble getting an appointment if you only let them know at 7 weeks I guess? Congratulations Smile

Embolio · 07/07/2015 08:43

Welcome and congratulations Brindler! Fab to get bfp after so long trying - hooray!

hippoesque · 07/07/2015 09:38

Excited to join you ladies! So after a failed pregnancy at the beginning of last month I got a strong positive test yesterday afternoon, confirmed with a clear blue digital this morning. EDD 9th March!

maybebabybee · 07/07/2015 09:51

welcome all newbies, wishing you all a happy and healthy nine months!

should I be worried that my boobs are a lot less sore today??

Bambini3 · 07/07/2015 10:03

Hi All,
I had a brownish discharge yesterday, just once after a wee (tmi!) was so scared, just cried on the loo! Nothing else at all and LOTS of googling says this can be normal. I've not had this with other pregnancies and can't help but panic!

maybebabybee · 07/07/2015 10:14

Bambini bless you, these first few weeks are so worrying aren't they.

from what I've read I think spotting in early pregnancy is extremely normal. I would only worry if the bleeding is bright red or accompanied by pain. Otherwise I'm sure everything is fine.

Bambini3 · 07/07/2015 10:24

Thank you maybee I'm trying to be calm, but I'm crying at everything at the mo!

maybebabybee · 07/07/2015 10:27

if you feel really bad I would call your GP for reassurance perhaps. I'm sure they will tell you it's nothing to worry about at all.

Remember every pregnancy is different so just because you've not had something before/you had something last time doesn't mean having it or not having it this time means anything bad. My mum had horrendous morning sickness, spotting and fatigue when pregnant with me and no symptoms whatsoever with my sister.
