Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mirabal · 25/06/2015 15:21

yes you're right should probably speak to doc

pain is very low down at the front and sharper than a cramp but not unbearable. had lots of cramping in first trimester with my first but it didn't feel like this. I guess all the troubles people are having on here have made me think more about it and I couldn't bear to get to 12 week scan and then discover something had gone wrong already

Mirabal · 25/06/2015 15:22

thanks baby

rallytog1 · 25/06/2015 15:28

Could it be stretching/ligament pain miracle? I'm getting similar much sooner than I did last time - my mw says it's normal for everything to start moving around sooner if you've been pregnant before.

Isla and brummie keeping fingers crossed for both of you this week.

I had my booking appointment today. Was very relieved to be told that I'll definitely get a c section and won't have to fight for it (I had some very rare and very unusual injuries last time during my emcs so my anatomy is a little non-standard these days). It feels weird to be back in the system again but a bit more real now.

Purdiepipesup · 25/06/2015 15:30

Isla, why not pay for an early scan? I would be terrified, like you.

Salads are uncompormisingly shit.

Bosabosa · 25/06/2015 15:39

the smell of lettuce induces nausea at the moment,, not sure how you are managing clumsy!!
I have just had mini cheddars branston pickle flavour-delicious, I think I need another packet...

Stepawayfromthezebras · 25/06/2015 15:46

All I want at the moment is carbs. I've bought loads of oily fish, fruit and veg but am jest eating crackers and rice crispies Blush

rallytog1 · 25/06/2015 15:47

For some bizarre reason I am actually craving salad Hmm Feel free to send your unwanted raw veggies my way.

IslaMann · 25/06/2015 15:58

Purdie, can't afford one.

Stepawayfromthezebras · 25/06/2015 16:00

Will do rally in exchange for some of your healthy cravings please Grin

clumsypots · 25/06/2015 16:06

I bought 3 packets the other day bosa I was so happy I had found a shop that sells them!

Rufus200 · 25/06/2015 16:06

Mirabal you can get a scan on Harley at for £100 www.thebirthcompany.co.uk

Mirabal · 25/06/2015 16:16

thanks rufus

I'm on vinegar cravings at the moment, bought a pickled egg on the way home from work yesterday (as well as a massive pile of chips obviously) but even for me that was VERY vinegary

Brummiegirl15 · 25/06/2015 16:33

Mirabel

I've had several transvaginal and honestly they are absolutely fine. It's not uncomfortable and for the early part, it's the best way to see everything

Mirabal · 25/06/2015 16:44

It's partly as I had an issue with not wanting the male person who was supposed to do a transvaginal before (I was quite young) so don't want to revisit that in my head. Appreciate it's completely routine though.

eggsnbeans · 25/06/2015 17:14

Mirabel - I had an abdomen scan at 7w which was enough to see baby, measure, and see and measure HB :) how far along are you?

Bosabosa · 25/06/2015 17:17

Oh nausea, how are you? Thank you So much for the 36 hour break you gave me, it was lovely and I ate lots of gorgeous things. However you have now trapped me in the loos at work and I WANT TO GO HOME.

Do you think you can bugger off again and go on another mini-break at least until I get home? Thanking you kindly, Bosabosa

Purdiepipesup · 25/06/2015 17:17

Isla, neither could I, so I just insisted, very strongly, that a 43 yr old with a history of mmc should be reassured from the earliest opportunity. My GP agreed and referred me. I heard nowt back so rang the epau myself and spoke to some shithead who thought I didn't have a case. I demanded to speak to her boss who agreed to scan me. Don't give in. Demand what you need. You have paid into the system .

Purdiepipesup · 25/06/2015 17:20

I thought only Satanists ate pickled eggs.

jellypi3 · 25/06/2015 17:47

I am struggling with eating salad, fine with bad stuff (pizza, chips, pasta) but can't stomach salad! I normally love the stuff.

Who is doing the next thread?

SweetCharlotteRose · 25/06/2015 17:49

Cursed myself. Just had a low followed by a 14.2.
Am convinced I'm doing some awful harm to the baby.

IslaMann · 25/06/2015 17:57

Purdie I can't even get to see the midwife until I'm 9 weeks. The consensus here seems to be that an early scan won't change anything so no point. EPU won't see you unless you're actively bleeding ( overstretched service I guess) Believe me, I've tried.

overreactionemoticon · 25/06/2015 18:10

Hi everyone. Sorry not been on, been struggling a bit. Nausea is now constant and all encompassing, spend a lot of time retching but not too many actual pukes so far. I feel completely rubbish. I asked for a gp appointment but apparently I need to be actually vomiting several times a day to be given meds. I don't know. See how I am next week before pushing it. Its nowhere near as bad as it was with the hg with dd so I feel like I shouldn't even complain but I really do feel poorly.

I'm not allowed to eat at work so have been revolting and sneaking crackers and dried fruit into the loo with me. Disgusting but if I don't eat I'll be worse!

Dp is being great and really picking up the slack at home, I feel bad because he works such long hours but I just can't do it at the moment.

I also have insomnia which is not helping.

Sorry for being so moany, I'll be cheerier on my next post I promise!

I phoned this week for my booking in appointment, the first available was the 14/7 which I couldn't do so it's on the 21st when I'll be ten weeks. Hope they fit my scan in before the 15/8 when I go on holiday!

overreactionemoticon · 25/06/2015 18:14

Just skimmed through and saw some of us have suffered losses Sad hugs to all of you xxx

Bluenewbie · 25/06/2015 18:23

hello,

Flowers for those who are poorly. I hate being sick and can't imagine how awful you feel Sad

I had my booking in appt today. it was pure bureaucracy. For blood tests, mental issues, whatever- pls go to your GP. .. Shock I went to my GP twice before seeing MW also to be just put on the s system and receive some leaflets.. what are those appts for??!! so basically no news or interesting things came out. I asked about Omega 3 for vegans- she had no clue if algae is safe in pregnancy. I asked about NIFTY test as opposite to Harmony- she didn't know it. well apparently in some parts of UK you can get one of this scan on NHS if your risk turned out to be high.

anyways..
I will be trying to push for an early scan tomorrow. (MW also asked me to call EPU to talk about it, she just filled out some papers!) I've got discharge for 25 dyas, had some clot/tissue in there and have no symptoms.
after what you've said here ladies, I really feel that something might be wrong with me and I don't want to find out after I already said to parents.(my scan is just after when we come back)

WouldRatherHaveCake · 25/06/2015 18:48
