Memphis your news is bittersweet I guess. I hope you can focus on your little bean and not feel too sad. Thanks

Gosh, such a roller-coaster week. my heart goes out to those who have suffered losses. I'm so grateful to be boring atm.

Hi,

Crap I'm sorry - I thought we needed a new thread and started one, but maybe not! I'm very new to all this :-s

Anyway, hope it's ok to join here, although sounds like a bad time? I hope everyone is doing ok.

memphis sorry about your loss as well

Great to hear about the heartbeats and positive scans! I hope there are many more!

Hi snowsquirrel Welcome!

Betty5714 · 24/06/2015 20:04

I'm so sorry to hear so many are having a hard week, sending lots of hugs and hoping you have lovely people holding your hands through this.

Purdie and Charlotte i'm so pleased to hear about your scans. Congratulations on having heartbeats in your little beans.

Charlotte i second other's suggestion that you book your appointments now, you are pregnant with a happy growing bean so time to get yourself plugged into services that will help to look after you and growing baby.

Purdie love the story of your internal gymnastics!

My spotting has gone from being every trip to the loo to being very infrequent. On the one hand i'm really pleased to not see blood so often, but i feel irrational worrying about the change even though i know really it is a good change! These 12 weeks are turning me crazy! 7 weeks tomorrow and booking in appointment with the mw. No scan date yet. Last time (ended in early mc) the letter came through so quickly so going to ask the mw about it tomorrow.

Betty5714 · 24/06/2015 20:06

Welcome and congratulations baby and snow!

Welcome eightdollars!

Snowsquirrel · 24/06/2015 20:22

Thanks Betty and Goldmaple!

Eighdollars we are pretty similar - I went to the GP today who said I'm 6 weeks. However I'm pretty sure I ovulated later in last month and am only 4 weeks. I'm pretty sure I know that I conceived on the 7th June - but may be wrong I guess!

Yes, It's really sad to see some sad news - I hope you are staying strong those who have lost... It's such early days for me so no idea how this will pan out. My first pregnancy and still trying to get my head round it all.

How is everyone feeling and doing? Any tips would be brill.

RattyCatty · 24/06/2015 20:41

Welcome eightdollars!

snowsquirrel I'm 8+2 and have no tips really, it's my first too... I would say I only started getting symptoms a few weeks ago & just feel constantly shattered & hungover. Starburst in my desk at school have helped a bit Smile

Mumof1sofar · 24/06/2015 20:51

Congrats on all the successful scans Smile Slightly jealous ... Even though we agreed this time round not to bother with an early scan, there is something amazing about seeing your little bean for the first time & hearing/seeing the heartbeat. Envy

Welcome newbies Smile

Ohjellybelly · 24/06/2015 21:00

Thankyou all for the information earlier on the 'booking in' process.

I did take the midwifes telephone number from the top of the pregnancy registration form, so if I've heard nothing by next week, I'll contact her directly and explain my history.

I did say at the start of this thread that I had no symptoms at all that would point to pregnancy in any way. I can however confirm that this afternoon, I have felt quite sick. It's come in waves throughout the afternoon, the worst one being during a pump class. I honestly looked for the bin as I thought I may well spew. Oh the joys!!

That's a pretty good idea eight, I might do that. Been getting pretty dehydrated recently. Also, luminous green pee anyone?!!

MayFlowers16 · 24/06/2015 21:25

I've heard that pregnancy vitamins can have that effect Harquoi

A warm welcome to the newbies Smile

Phoenix80 · 24/06/2015 21:25

Hello everyone,

I got my BFP on Monday and Tuesday (well 4 BFP's actually lol) this will be baby number 3, already got ds1 9 and ds2 nearly 6.

I originally posted in March but I think it's more likely to be Feb although I actually have no idea when I'm due yet (pcos and don't ovulate or have periods regularly. I had Clomid for both my boys')

I decided to test cos I was shattered all the time. I used 2 clearblue digital tests (1 Monday evening and 1 Tuesday morning) to try and determine how many weeks I am but both said 3+ weeks which is as far as they go lol.

I haven't seen a doctor because they said I didn't need to but I have had a sample sent off for testing which I should get the result of tomorrow which I assume will be positive, unless 4 tests are wrong Grin. And then they said I'd need to fill a form in and wait for midwife to contact me around 8 weeks pg but obviously I don't know when that will be haha!

Sorry to read there have been losses on here Flowers

Betty5714 · 24/06/2015 21:26

Ooh yes haquoi i've had luminous yellow/green wee! First thing in the morning. Really odd! Any idea why?!

Phoenix80 · 24/06/2015 21:29

This thread moves fast lol x

Brummiegirl15 · 24/06/2015 21:35

It's the vitamin b6 in pregnancy vitamins - you get it from drinking Berocca as well

Pagerty · 24/06/2015 22:09

I'm so saddened to read of all the recent losses. You are all in my thoughts x

It's such a time of mixed emotions and highs and lows as while I am so very sad for some, I am over joyed for others when I hear of all the little heartbeats and positive scans which have taken place.

Today I am 8 weeks, still no real symptoms other than I put a pair of trousers on today and they were tight on my thighs Blush I am going to have to really start watching what I eat or I will be the size of a small house before I even reach 3rd tri!

Welcome to those with recent BFP's

Nectarines · 24/06/2015 22:54

I think there are fellow pregnant diabetics here, I'm type 1 and just in a bit of a spin after speaking with my DSN today.

When I was pregnant with my daughter (20 months old) the targets were fasting 5.8 and post prandial 7.8mmol

Today I was told the guidelines have changed to fasting 5.3 and post meal 6.4.

I'm going to struggle with that!! Despite a low GI diet and confidence in carb counting etc, if I'm in low sixes after eating, chances are I'll go hypo before I eat again. I followed the 'old' targets before and the baby was fine, but there must be a reason for the changes.

I feel a bit overwhelmed to be honest. Diabetic pregnancy is tough and now it seems it may get tougher!

Might have to consider low carb. I hate proper low carbing it messes up my guts!
