Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
QuackQuackers · 23/06/2015 05:42

teddy I was he same. Terrible insomnia, mixed in with a bad back that stops me sleeping comfortably. I was averaging 3hours a night (which on a good night were two 90minute stretches.
I hope it's not as bad this time, but mild insomnia seems to have already kicked in Shock

Last time I was so excited for baby to be born so I could get more sleep. Everyone thought I was mad, but two hour sleep cycles with a baby was bliss compared to my pregnancy sleeping!

Marsaday · 23/06/2015 06:40

teddy and quack same here, barely slept in last trimester of last pg, i got more sleep breastfeeding a newborn. I remember saying excitedly on my first morning home with ds how chuffed i was to have had 6 hours sleep! (broken by feeding).
I am also a little.concerned as i havent slept through in the last 2 weeks and im getting really really tired. I go to sleep fine in the evening, but wake up in the night and lie awake for hours, usually until alarm goes off.
Anyone with a solution, please let me know!!

firsttimenewbie · 23/06/2015 07:06

Anyone else noticed we aren't the 'babies' of the threads anymore. There is now a March group. For some reason that excites me!
Off for an early scan today. Quite nervous. Fx!

RattyCatty · 23/06/2015 07:16

Good luck firsttimenewbie!

elephantfeet · 23/06/2015 07:27

Mars I was waking up at 3/4am and lying awake until time to get up, that lasted a couple of weeks but now it seems to be closer to 6am which is just about acceptable...fingers crossed you start sleeping better too!

I told my manager yesterday after the nearly fainting episode on Friday, thought it would be best to tell her sooner rather than later. She was happy! Smile

rallytog1 · 23/06/2015 07:29

lily and Mawsy, so sorry you're going through such difficult times Thanks Thanks Thanks I know there are no words that will make it better but I'm thinking of you both.

jellypi3 · 23/06/2015 07:34

It's crazy that there are people on a march bus already, I'm sure we don't have that many due late feb?

rallytog1 · 23/06/2015 07:41

Do we have any 29 Feb people yet?!

I'm another who's really bloated. It's like my stomach muscles have completely given up and can't hold my tummy in any more. I had this last time and I'm afraid it lasted until being gradually replaced by bump.

Brummiegirl15 · 23/06/2015 07:48

Rally I've got that problem. I've not even got any other dc so I don't even have that excuse of it being a 2nd pregnancy. But end of the day my trousers are unbuttoned and practically unzipped!!

My stomach muscles are shot to pieces, they've always been really weak.

Got a horrible feeling I will be huge. I'm only 5ft so baby has nowhere to go but out plus with knackered tummy muscles only means 1 thing.

Fatty McFatty!!!

AbFab86 · 23/06/2015 07:57

Bleeding has carried on. Sat in doctor's waiting room waiting to be fit in between other patients. Don't have a good feeling about it Sad

Also, my plan to coolly, calmly tell my (male) boss what was going on did not work. Instead I blurted out I'm pregnant then burst into tears. Smooth.

jellypi3 · 23/06/2015 08:12

Sorry to hear that abfab

I'm bloated but also had horrible trapped wind yesterday. So much so I had to go home from work. Managed to spend the day farting and burping until most of it had gone. Joy!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 23/06/2015 08:14

rally I get 28th/29th on the calculators.

ab good luck, I hope you are okay.

NoMontagues · 23/06/2015 08:20

Stepawayfromthezebras · 23/06/2015 09:27

I hope it goes Ok with the doctor Ab

Bosabosa · 23/06/2015 09:28

Very best of luck ab

I have started with the vivid dreams- was in New York, had been attacked by gene wilder in a previous episode of dream and he was now my cab driver trying to abduct me!

Are vivid pregnancy dreams ever pleasant?!

Zookeeper73 · 23/06/2015 09:50

Thinking of you Abfab.

Wow, I thought the waking up early was just coincidence, maybe it isn't!

At least if I'm bloated until I start to show, people will take longer to guess!

Rufus200 · 23/06/2015 09:53

AbFab fingers crossed for you xxx

Rufus200 · 23/06/2015 09:56

Is anyone else being woken up by the constant need to wee? I'm getting up 2-3 times in the night just for a toilet break! 12am, 3am and 6am seem to be a very common theme for me.

Brummiegirl15 · 23/06/2015 10:08

An email from a senior colleague just made me burst into tears.

What the actual fuck???

I need to get a grip

BananaRaces · 23/06/2015 10:14

Rufus, my current pattern seems to be: sleeping normally until 3 or 4 in the morning, then waking up feeling very awake and needing a wee, then going back to bed and sleeping like the dead until my alarm goes off at 7 and feeling really disorientated when I try to get up at my normal time (I couldn't work out what was making all the noise this morning - it was my alarm)... I'm beginning to think maybe I should just get up and stay up at 3 or 4, seeing as it's obviously what my body wants! Grin I'm also an absolute radiator while I sleep at the moment.

The vivid dreams have started too - first thing on Saturday morning my DH says "I'm going to get in the shower." I reply with "OK, I'll unpack the bags." He says "OK........Wait...What bags?!" (There were no bags.) Confused

AbFab86 · 23/06/2015 10:22

Thank you for all your good luck wishes. The doctor was lovely, really calm and took his time over everything, despite me being squeezed in between other patients.

I had a scan and the sac is in the right place but no foetal pole or heartbeat yet, which at 5+3ish I was sort of expecting anyway. He's done another hcg test and I'll be having another (4th!) one on Thursday to compare. I'm expecting today's to be around 6000-8000 if it has approximately doubled every 48hrs since my last one. I should get the result this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Not out of the woods yet but I'm feeling a lot more human than I was a couple of hours ago.

I'm now hoping that the extreme emotion I felt was down to pregnancy hormones, rather than just the fear of miscarriage. I also had a very weird and vivid dream last night. That's a good sign, right?

Is anyone else having a scan today

BananaRaces · 23/06/2015 10:28

AbFab, that sounds a bit more positive. FX for the hcg results.
