purdiepie · 20/06/2015 08:46

Where is the flipping spreadsheet and why isn't it in the OP?

Stepawayfromthezebras · 20/06/2015 08:56

brummie do you know what they're checking for on the cervical scan? Midwife just said they measured it but I didn't think to ask why exactly

eggsnbeans · 20/06/2015 09:00

Hiya May! Didn't recognise you with the NC ;) so cool there are 4 of us from the bf thread in here!

Trying not to look at mc stats again as we also have a million risk factors! I didn't know any of it in my 1st pg! My 2nd I was so convinced there would be bad news at 12w scan I was shocked to see a normal baby and almost cried!

Jelly I am so craving salt and vinegar too! NEED it!

Bosabosa · 20/06/2015 09:02

Thanks Marsaday- I will learn from your example!
Purdie-your post made me laugh-and gag slightly....
In terms of when due, I had a bleed on thurs 7th May for 36 hours but I had had an internal scan the day before showing womb lining in tact so I was confused as thought it takes longer than a day for it to break down? but if I assume it was a period, and put in a 35 day cycle ( which is probably my average) then I am due thurs 17th Feb. So I am going by that!

Have a meal out tonight for Father's Day- really would rather eat chips on sofa !

Marsaday · 20/06/2015 09:03

I've just eaten prawn crackers for breakfast.

NoMontagues · 20/06/2015 09:04

overreaction I now, quite strongly, want a MacDonalds cheeseburger.

Bosabosa · 20/06/2015 09:05

I spent 30 mins yesterday trying to find spreadsheet and failed!

NoMontagues · 20/06/2015 09:11

stats

NoMontagues · 20/06/2015 09:12

The above link should work ladies.

Bosabosa · 20/06/2015 09:16

Over and Poets- welcome!!

Mars- sounds a great breakfast! Breakfast is the only meal I am vaguely healthy with- weirdly , one of the first symptoms I had, even pre-BFP, is needing weetabix for breakfast- which I hate normally but which DH adores and has had every day of his life since childhood.
So I started suspecting I was carrying a piece of DH with me Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 20/06/2015 09:24

Rally my danger point is approaching - I've always lost babies between 8-9 weeks so I'm in fear until my scan at 9 weeks 2 days. It's thought my problem is the placenta failing to take over. So I'm still very much in the danger zone. But I can't do anything about it. I've not read the stats or google. don't need to. I've got a team of consultants doing what they can to help me because those are my odds. My new bezzie mate is my consultants secretary Grin

But I want to stress I am very different to other people. Just because I'm approaching the danger zone does not mean anyone else is and you have to remember that. I'm a 1% er!!!

Zebras the scan is measuring the length of the cervix. They want to see if it's below a certain length, if so, then they do a stitch as a preventative measure

I need to get up and eat breakfast as feel sick but I am so tired!

Zookeeper73 · 20/06/2015 09:24

Does anyone else find that they are either not at all hungry or absolutely starving, with no in between and it changes in a second?

haquoi123 · 20/06/2015 09:25

mirabel I'm going to try to get an appointment on Monday and see. I don't think they'll help though as I've only vomited once so far - it's just the all day nausea and dizziness that I can't bear!

Oranges are my poison of choice and rice cakes. Carbs help short term and then I feel TERRIBLE! Lying down didn't even help last night. I'd rather puke more than have all the hiccupping and burping and retching (famous last words). But it's the dizziness!! Ok, wailing over.

birdbrain I'm a musician - singer and composer

sleeping?!!

Welcome all new bfps!

NoMontagues · 20/06/2015 09:27

Yes zoo and I'm starving right now!

DH went out for a little while and said he'd bring me back a bacon sandwich from the caff. I'm fading away here waiting for it!

twinsandapenguin · 20/06/2015 09:28

Zookeeper YES!!

OP posts:
twinsandapenguin · 20/06/2015 09:28

Now I want a cheeseburger too. Or a McDonald's breakfast, that would be amazing

Stepawayfromthezebras · 20/06/2015 09:29

Cheers brummie cervix stitch sounds a bit eek but I guess my poor old cervix is likely in for a bit more of a shock than that in the coming months

Bosabosa · 20/06/2015 09:33

Birdbrain- I am a railway manager but am taking redundancy- yey!!

haquoi123 · 20/06/2015 09:36

zookeeper yes! Also anyone else gone accidentally vegan? Completely gone off milk with soya milk taking over (usually don't like it) and haven't eaten cheese in days.

I'm not looking at stats for mc - if there's a tiny percentage of something happening, that'll be me! I do it in style - DS was born while I was in Italy working with DH back in UK (actually he was in Copenhagen waiting for his flight to get to me) and staying with a family I'd never met before. It affected the birth, how long I was able to be with my baby (not very long), funeral (or lack of, who knows what happened to his body?!) arrangements, and getting home was another nightmare. Another 4 days and I'd have been back in England. So yeah, stats are not my friends. Better live and let live. Today I am pregnant and every day with my baby is a treasure. Including the ms.

brummie, so pleased to hear your consultants have got your back! Sending good vibes your way!

purdiepie · 20/06/2015 09:55

Monty, thanks, love. But those figures are wrong! I can't be 7+4! Can I? Hmm

Whoever is a singer/composer, I am so impressed.

haquoi123 · 20/06/2015 09:58

Thanks purdie that's me!

purdiepie · 20/06/2015 10:02

Are you successful/rich/famous/Lady Gaga, Hanquoi?

haquoi123 · 20/06/2015 10:11

I wish! I'm on the contemporary classical side of things, so no money. But I love what I do and you get to meet loads of lovely people when teaching and (very very) occasionally bbc radio 3 will play your music, so it's all good!

NoMontagues · 20/06/2015 10:13

purdie if you're due on 2nd Feb then, yeah, you're 7+4!

8ww halfway mark fast approaching!

I too am jealous of impressed by your job haq .

haquoi123 · 20/06/2015 10:15

Thanks montagues
