Hello! Can I join?! :)

primarynoodle · 19/06/2015 22:34

still trying to get my head around this due date malarky..

ive no idea when i conceived, my cycles ranged from 26 to 31 days for the last 9 months (had a period tracker app to make sure i was prepared for periods not conceiving!!!) but based on lmp at 5th may, im 6+3 and due 9th feb so how come some people are due in feb but are 2 weeks further on than me? considering im really about 4 weeks..

im so confused!!!

Mumof1sofar · 19/06/2015 22:49

Evening ladies & welcome newbies Smile

Wow Mars, that's super quick! My labour was about 48 hours so I'm hoping this time it's a little quicker!!

Been feeling nauseous on & off all day. I drank a sip of fizzy water earlier & gagged! Confused hope everyone is doing ok & congrats those of you already at 8 weeks (I'm only 5!)

Pagerty · 19/06/2015 22:50

Evening all, would love to join your group :)
I am currently just over 7weeks due on 3 February. I am 43 and my BFP was a bit of a surprise!

Pagerty · 19/06/2015 22:53

I have been reading it for the last day or two and decided to take the plunge and join :)

Bosabosa · 19/06/2015 23:14

Hello Sleeping, wine and. Pagerty- congratulations!

Ladies, I have had FOUR bags of crisps today and copious amounts of toast as well as three square meals. No vegetables at all. Bad first timer I am!

Stupid question, do boobs get less sore after first tri? DH cannot go near them at the moment!

I too have no idea how far gone I am-4+5 or 5+5?!
Night night

Brummiegirl15 · 19/06/2015 23:15

Hello Pagerty you are my due date twin! Grin

Purdie hand holding from me love. I'm in the 50% gang too. One day at a time chick.

Today we are pregnant

Pagerty · 19/06/2015 23:27

Thank you for the warm welcome ladies Grin

I guess I am in the high percentage group too. But luckily tomorrow it will be a little less than it is today and next week it will have dropped even further. Definitely one step and one day at a time.

Marsaday · 19/06/2015 23:34

bosa if it makes you feel better, i ate a few token carrot and cucumber sticks this evening to counteract my increased crisp consumption... Result was that my stomach objected violently to raw veg and puked it all up again.
Moral of that story - if you dont fancy.veg, don't waste the time (and veg) eating it, there is probably a good reason why...

RhiPea · 19/06/2015 23:58

At last I have my first symptom- hooray for constipation...!Confused
My boobs are occasionally achy, a bit like a muscle ache the day after the gym (gym?! As if!!) They're getting a bit bigger, I'm having to wear my nice 'special occasion' bras as my others fit even worse than usual. Dreading milk coming in- I'm a 32H before pregnancy Blush! Husb has been saying I'm just willing things to start changing, but today said "actually, your nips do look a bit rectangular"!Hmm Six weeks on Monday- bracing myself for ms! Have had to tell a few colleagues as I can't look after certain patients or give some drugs (I'm a nurse). The rumour mill will be working overtime no doubt!

purdiepie · 20/06/2015 00:12

Hurrah for 43 year olds!

Brummie, you are a sweetheart. And so brave. I am praying for you and this pregnancy.

Hello, newbies and welcome!

I am craving salt. After devouring an entire tube of salt and vinegar Pringles my mouth feels like I've been sucking David Walliams' penis after he swam the Channel.

purdiepie · 20/06/2015 00:17

Thanks for the reassurance, Rally.

Birdbrain, I am a Business Solutions Officer in the IT department of our county council. So when any of the council's staff have an IT problem I am their first port of call. I think it's only fair to say I am utterly shit with computers and that it is becoming fairly evident that I was given the job by virtue of my fabulous tits.

Zookeeper73 · 20/06/2015 05:31

Hi Everyone!

Congratulations on being pregnant today :)

I got a faint bfp 6 days ago and then did a clearblue 2 days later on the day af was due. That was Tuesday and it still hasn't sunk in that I'm actually pregnant!!

This will be the first for us and according to calculators is due Feb 23 making me 4+4 today. Is anyone else due that day?

Raffertys · 20/06/2015 06:34

Welcome newbies! Nice to see even more people join.

Purdie my mouth tastes gross too. Why is this? Hormones? Confused

Mars that's very quick! DS was EVENTUALLY born by emcs at 41+6 after a 48 hour induced established labour. Doctors hadn't worked out how huge he was...10lb 4oz Hmm

8 weeks today! Apparently my baby now looks reasonably human. Scan on Monday. Despite all the morning sickness and sore boobs and tiredness, I'm still shitting a brick. Scans hold very bad memories for me.

Have a lovely Saturday ladies Flowers

SweetCharlotteRose · 20/06/2015 07:31

Purdie - lovely descriptions of the taste in your mouth.

Brummie - so glad everything looks to be going as it should be.

I look to be in the 50% club if the miscarriage risk thing someone linked is true. Dh is over 40, I'm a type 1 diabetic and we took well over a year to conceive. Worked it out to be a nearly 50% risk. Kind of wish I hadn't read it.

The trouble with feeling sick and being sick is that it's vile but when it stops (don't feel sick this morning) you think WHY AM I NOT BEING SICK. Can't win really.

Stepawayfromthezebras · 20/06/2015 07:41

Good to see you back charlotte

My midwife yesterday was completely unconcerned at the fact my symptoms were getting less, said it's completely normal Smile. I had a cervical polyp removed in April and she was even surprised I've not had any spotting due to that

Brummiegirl15 · 20/06/2015 08:00

Charlotte the reason I'm 50% in due to having 3 miscarriages in a row so I am trying to think about the "other" 50%

Shoving progesterone where the sun doesn't shine and stabbing myself in the stomach with heparin every day will hopefully keep me in the good 50%. I have to believe it, because I ain't got anything else and you have to believe it too my love.

Just done my injection. Stings like fuck!! (Need Purdie to insert a suitable description)

I'm all about the salt - mainly crisps and salted popcorn. If it's a bag of crisps and it's not nailed down - they will get eaten....

Looks like it's a horrible rainy Saturday in Worcestershire

NoMontagues · 20/06/2015 08:02

Hi and welcome to the new BFPs! Congrats!

And congrats to you raffertys !

I'd love to just hibernate for the next 4 weeks and emerge, blinking, at the 12 week mark. I can't do that but I think I'll lie as low as possible between then and now.

I have a scan on the 9th Jul when I'll be 10+6 so I'm counting down the days to that.

rallytog1 · 20/06/2015 08:14

All you 50%ers (especially you charlotte - am very glad to see you) - the fact you're still here is a sign that you're way past that sort of risk level now. Those top-line figures refer to the chance of loss for all confirmed pregnancies - higher numbers are sadly lost very early, so the figure gets better every day you're pregnant. So, my risk was around 33% in the early days, but now is far, far lower than that. Every single day you're pregnant, your chances of going to term improve.

Today you are all pregnant! Thanks

Poetschild · 20/06/2015 08:17

Hi everyone!
Just got our bfp this morning. If all's well then this will be our second little blessing.

Hope to get to know you better over the next months!

jellypi3 · 20/06/2015 08:17

Mmm salt and Vinegar. I'm munching s&v walkers and last night got chippy chips smothered in the stuff! How random that a few of us are craving it!

Those of you confused about due dates etc, forget when you conceived from! even if you know he second you ovulated, forget it. Your due date is based on your LMP for now. So if you ovulated 4 weeks ago but your LMP was 6 weeks ago, you are 6 weeks pregnancy not 4.

Oh, and I joined the 8 week club today Grin

Lilymog · 20/06/2015 08:20

Omg, I've just read the stats, previous MC, 43, also with a partner over 50! My risk is 88%! Argh!!!!!!!

Morning ladies, gonna take it so easy today I shall mostly be horizontal x

overreactionemoticon · 20/06/2015 08:38

Found you Smile

Haven't read through so apologies for everything I've missed. Hope everyone is doing well and all the beans are sticking.

Was doing quite well on the healthy eating until Thursday. Doughnuts, chocolate cake and a McDonalds cheeseburger. Then came home and had my actual dinner. Yesterday was all a bit beige too without any fruit or veg. Will do better today. Maybe.

rallytog1 · 20/06/2015 08:41

lily! Step away from Google! That is not your risk at this stage. Every day you're pregnant it declines, and it declines the most in the first few days and couple of weeks.

purdiepie · 20/06/2015 08:44

The spreadsheet is wrong! That link to the mc rates says I'm 7+1 today Confused
