Mumof1sofar · 19/06/2015 07:15

Lily I would if it makes you feel better. Don't know much about it though I'm afraid but other ladies here know more than me.

I got an early night but woke up at 3am feeling sick - so horrid! Confused

Marsaday · 19/06/2015 07:21

Lovely scan pics ladies, making me consider a private one!
lily fx it is all fine. I bled brown with my first and he is here all fine and currently making us late for work with an exploding nappy just as we walk out the door... OH is dealing with it thank god.
I woke at 3.30 after a vivid night mare where brian from.big brother was attacking me with a meat cleaver. Didn't manage to get back to sleep and now feel like poo...
I.don't even watch big brother, saw one sodding trailer yesterday!!

NoMontagues · 19/06/2015 07:39

Morning everyone. Congrats on the scan mawsy that is adorable.

I'm halfway through my 8ww today. Woo-hoo!

Raffertys · 19/06/2015 08:29

8ww makes the 2ww pale into insignificance doesn't it Grin

I'm halfway there tomorrow. Wooo!

Lily I have no experience of blood tests for HCG so no decent advice other than to do whatever feels right to you at this stage, or whatever you need to get an answer. Flowers

Stepawayfromthezebras · 19/06/2015 09:23

Oh mawsy what a sweet scan!

I have my first midwife appt today - eek!

Bosabosa · 19/06/2015 10:17

Morning ladies, been at work for an hour and now popping out to have lunch before I have my actual lunch at 1pm! Luckily I am leaving work so no one much cares what I do or don't do!
Purdie-put that donkey down! I have Been having sparkling water, ice and lemon to halt any donkey-type sensations, seems to be working but yours seems a lot worse than mineWink

Steps- good luck with midwife!

Mawsymoo · 19/06/2015 10:35

Thanks all on the scan compliments! On my last pregnancy I had multiple scans during the first trimester at the EPAU as a result of previous losses but for obvious reasons it was just a quick scan with a side-on measurement of CRL and heartbeat. So I never got a great front-on view like this before - it took a bit of digging around for the sonographer to get it. She also had me coughing to get the baby to wiggle - super cute! Still on a high!

jellypi3 · 19/06/2015 10:38

Aww congrats mawsy :)

I've got my booking appointment now, quite nervous!!

raviolig · 19/06/2015 11:21

Morning everyone! Lovely scan pics and welcome to all the newbies.
Lily hope everything is ok xxx

Have any of you been avoiding foodstuffs?
When I was pregnant with both my dcs I was so strict. The advice about nuts changed between both of them, but because I am asthmatic and have allergies I still didn't eat nuts when pregnant with ds. He turned our asthmatic and suffers from excema. So I am not sure if it is worth bothering avoiding nuts this time.
I had a real craving for goats cheese and ate loads recently, probably in the 2 ww. Now I have a real craving for icecream but remembered that you have to be careful with some because of raw eggs.
I stopped drinking when ttc dd (after ttc for a year I was desperate so tried a complete health kick and got my bfp that month). I was pregnant or bf for 5 years so never started drinking again. But I am addicted to coffee and Pepsi so I really need to cut down on that.
Lots of things to think about I suppose.
The other thing, tired legs. Definitely got that. I said to my husband before I got my bfp how tired I had been feeling. I walk a lot but I had felt it was so much harder going. I actually thought I was getting ill but instead got my bfp.

raviolig · 19/06/2015 11:27

Oh and about due dates. I was keeping track of my cycles and get ovulation pains so I think I ovulated on day 9 of my cycle, which would put my due date as 11th feb, but by lmp it puts it at 18/19 th. I had cycles varying from 21 to 29 days so it is hard to tell but I wish I had more of an idea. Putting me a week ahead means I am likely to be abroad in the right time span for the tests on the 12 week scan.

Bluenewbie · 19/06/2015 12:02

Morning ladies and sticky beans :)

congrats to all new BFPs!

Flowers for all the ladies feeling not well. sorry for not putting all the names but the thread moved so much. I think of all of you though and send you best wishes.

Lily it sounds daunting but hopefully everything will be ok. I was worried and they put me for HCG tests on 6+6 and 7+3 (4 days apart). they don't double at this stage. I found good table to compare your results though: www.babymed.com/is-my-hcg-blood-level-normal# . so if the results are similar to those, we can say " today we are pregnant". also accordingly to my MW it would also mean it is not ectopic pregnancy.

I have a brown discharge for 19 days now. everyone from NHS seems to ignore it so it made me feel a bit less worried. until I found a tiny blood/skin tissue? clot today on toilet paper.. I'm holding hands with you Lily Flowers

Lilymog · 19/06/2015 12:09

Hi all, I called the doctor, she told me to get lots of rest and try not to stress. She suggested an early scan but said would not be worth doing now as we would see nothing conclusive and it might make me even more anxious. She also didn't recommend the blood tests as she said that we would need to take several over the next two weeks and by then a scan might be the better option.

So she's going to call me a week today to see how I am, and if the discharge / bleeding is still there she'll make me an appointment with the EPU. I'll be 8 weeks (hopefully) by then.

And my car passed its MOT for which I am shocked and surprised and eternally grateful, I thought it was going to cost a fortune. Perhaps now I can go and get some bigger trousers.

Thanks for all your very kind messages and thoughts xx

purdiepie · 19/06/2015 12:11

I don't understand these health professionals who insist there is nothing reassuring to see at 7wks!

Bluenewbie · 19/06/2015 12:24

congrats on your beautiful baby's view from scans ladies!

also congrats to Goulash , Rally , Teaandcakes , Birdbrain21 and myself for reaching/passing 8 weeks ! :)

today we are pregnant.

stick on Beans!! Star

rallytog1 · 19/06/2015 12:56

Yay for 8 weeks!

I know 12 weeks is traditionally seen as the end of the danger zone, but at 8 weeks the chances of a successful pregnancy are really, really good, so it feels like a good milestone (check out the spacefem website). Hoping and praying all our 8-week beans sit tight!

GoulashSoup · 19/06/2015 13:06

Thanks Blue, I'm stressing here as still spotting and cramping so the cheerleading is much appreciated. Trying to be possitive waiting for second hCG result from yesterday, but Tuesday's was over 115K so good. I am feeling very pregnant so taking comfort from that too.

Happy Friday all Smile

BadgieBear · 19/06/2015 13:45

Congrats to everyone with scan pics - they are so wonderul to see! Smile

Just popping on (between vomity burps) to wish everyone a happy Friday and a lovely (and sticky) weekend!

Bluenewbie · 19/06/2015 13:46

Goulash me too still having this. plus a clot I found recently Sad I'm stressed but I can't do anything and I hope these all shall pass and we will all have happy beans on 12 week scan!!
Your result seems to be very good! My results were next day before 2pm. they were rather average comparing to yours but it may be due to difference in dates. are you going to call? let us know how did it go. FX

Bluenewbie · 19/06/2015 14:06

thanks rally , these statistics are really reassuring: spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=04&d=24&y=15

stick on beans!

GoulashSoup · 19/06/2015 14:36

Blue I hope the clot proves to just be old blood. I can understand your worry though. Every day the stats improve in our favour.

I am feeling strangely calm about it all. I just keep thinking that a scan etc is not going to change the outcome. The best I can do for this pregnancy is to stay calm and happy and try to eat when I can face it.

primarynoodle · 19/06/2015 14:43

blue i go on that every day!

i found the horrible anxiety of miscarriage was greatly improved by that site and also thinking - '94.6% chance of a sticky baby' rather than ' 5.4% chance of miscarriage' iyswim

its made me feel much calmer and more positive

Rufus200 · 19/06/2015 14:55

Has anyone else found that loud noise makes their nausea worse? The washing machine was on full spin cycle making a racket and I was feeling wretched, now it has stopped I feel a bit better.

Bluenewbie · 19/06/2015 15:05

I actually wouldn’t think about possibility of MC probably at all if not for this and other portals/threads ;) I never knew what problems can appear and that it happens to "real" people. and NHS is saying "everything is OK", so it's only because of the stories I heard on forums , I am so anxious now.

Goulash I would hope it is an old blood/tissue (not sure what was that) but I have the discharge for 19 days now and it's a first piece of something I found .
Anyway, I'm not panicking yet, but it put me down.
Have anyone got anything else than discharge and is a happy mum now? ladies?
