Hi! I had a weird brown bleed which didn't amount to anything, figured I had better test, and was shocked. It was a faint line, but a lines a line, right! I didn't think my new husband and I would be lucky enough to have a baby, I figured I was a bit too old. We did nothing to prevent pregnancy over the last 2 months, and I got pregnant quicker than when I was 15 years younger. I'm over the moon. Dh is older and has no biological children, but is a great step dad. I'm in shock!

Mawsymoo · 18/06/2015 20:59

lily keeping everything crossed for you.

rufus congrats for yesterday.

Hi to everyone else!

I had my scan this evening and thankfully all is looking good with baby so far. We saw a nice strong heartbeat and little arm and leg buds and I'm measuring a few days ahead of where I thought I was so it will be interesting to see if I stick with that at my 12 week scan.

Unfortunately the sonographer found a subchorionic haemorrhage so she told me to expect bleeding Sad I had one on my pregnancy with DS and bled heavily for 10 weeks and was hospitalised a few times etc. It was very touch-and-go so I'm disappointed to be facing into it again. I'll just keep praying that my little baby is strong enough to withstand it Star

Lilymog · 18/06/2015 21:12

Massey, congrats xx did you have a private scan?

Mawsymoo · 18/06/2015 21:14

Yes it was a private scan.

Lilymog · 18/06/2015 21:16

primarynoodle · 18/06/2015 21:19

Well today has been rough. DD6 had a major night terror last night, was up for 3-4 hours with her. As a result I didn't wake till DD4 pottered into my room at 9am. I turned the TV on and we quietly watched until DD6 woke up at 10:30am. As soon as I saw it was 9am I decided the day was a write off. Have a raging sore throat, nasty cough which pulls my abs badly if I don't squash up into a ball or hold my stomach with my hands Confused It still stings when I pee despite antibs so back at the GPs tomorrow. Fortunately my wisdom tooth isn't hurting today so thats a bonus. Me and DDs climbed into bed at 8pm and I'm watching The Hobbit 2 whilst they sleep.

I'm off to RTFT now, I can't keep up!

MayFlowers16 · 18/06/2015 21:27

On the subject of LMP and dating scans: When we conceived dd, we dtd just twice that month, on CD13 and 14. However my dating scan brought my edd forward by a whole week, which theoretically meant she was conceived on CD7 Hmm My dh is very trusting! Grin Funnily enough she was 12 days late.

Hope everyone's ok. Sorry to all who having a rough time.

Mawsymoo · 18/06/2015 21:28

I thought I'd be around 8 weeks today but baby measured 8w3d which puts me firmly into January for due date. However there's every chance I will go over!

Here's my little bubba!

I can't keep up with this thread either!

I have had so many internal scans; they're fine. Just annoying. I have a retroverted uterus which makes early TA scans impossible.

Lily, fingers crossed for you. Flowers

Raffertys · 18/06/2015 21:28

Great pic Mawsy!

MayFlowers16 · 18/06/2015 21:32

Aw, lovely Mawsy

StockingFullOfCoal · 18/06/2015 21:37

My first cycle after coming off the Pill was 52 days long. As soon as AF finished I started doing OPKs and I OV'd around CD9-11! Then got a BFP. LMP was 13th May. I'm hazarding a guess at 17th February.

mawsy thats incredible! Especially compared to my 7+3 scan with DD4. Such a huge difference in 7 days!

Raaaaaah · 18/06/2015 21:44

Lily, I really hope it is nothing to worry about. The chances are that it is nothing. So many women on here have had spotting. I completely understand why it must be so awful for you though.

Mawsy that scan photo is wonderful. Congrats. What is a subchorionic bleed out of interest?

I'm sorry for all those feeling shite with jobs and multiple DC's to look after.

Bosabosa · 18/06/2015 21:50

Brummiegirl15 · 18/06/2015 22:30

Bosabosa · 18/06/2015 22:46

Lovely to see brummie girl ! Am definitely tempted to go for a private scan seeing these pics!

monkerina · 18/06/2015 22:47

Congrats Mawsy!

I had a scan today too, referred by infertility clinic to EPU- as predicted, bugger all to see. There's a black spot which the sonographer thought was right as I reckon I'm about 4+4 (ovulated cd26 so LMP dating is rubbish), and she spotted a bleed next to it, where the primitive placenta is attaching, so warned me not to worry when that shows up in knickers. Lily, maybe yours is similar?

Followup scan on 1st July to confirm, when I'll be about 6+2. Still pretty scared, as the next couple of weeks is where my 1st MMC went wrong- but I'm now past the point of 2nd MC! Today we are pregnant Smile

purdiepie · 18/06/2015 22:55

Loving the scans.

Welcome Mama.

Hold on tight, Monk Thanks

My mouth now tastes like I've been deep-throating a donkey.

Rose85 · 18/06/2015 23:09

Fingers crossed for you lily Thanks

haquoi123 · 18/06/2015 23:17

Mumof1sofar · 19/06/2015 03:27

Welcome newbies.

Lovely mawsy.Smile

Nausea has definitely kicked in for me. I feel horrendous & my sleep patterns are all over the place now, despite the fact that I'm so tired. SadConfusedHmm

Lilymog · 19/06/2015 06:35

Morning all, discharge is not there this morning, but last time we played cat and mouse with each other for three weeks. I also POAS as well. WHY!!! I know full well it was going to be positive, even if the baby hasn't developed (MMC), the hormones would still be there!

I am debating whether to call the docs / midwife team at the surgery and see if they can do my bloods as I know a doubling will be some reassurance (does it still double at 6 weeks plus?) but again will have to wait over the weekend if they can get me in today.

So indecisive, girls what are your thoughts? Xx

Raffertys · 19/06/2015 06:36

Today we are indeed pregnant, monk. I'm approaching the days where my bleeding started with my MC, but feeling really positive. Taking the sickness, tiredness and boobs as good signs that we'll see a healthy little person on the scan on Monday.

Hope everyone has a great day - HAPPY FRIDAY

purdiepie · 19/06/2015 07:04

Lily, I would always opt for the beta bloods, although I believe it's every 72hrs at this stage. Did you have your hcg tested very early on aswell?
