Yep. Having to change the way I walk to work because I walk through the ghetto and it smells of weed and piss.

Phizpop · 15/06/2015 22:17

I can be pretty emotional at the best of times, but seem to be managing the hormones ok at the moment. ..until tonight... leading a meeting (voluntary group) when someone dropped a bombshell changing everything.... It hadn't crossed her mind to drop me a line before the meeting, or wait till after, to give me warning. BUT I DIDNT CRY!! WHOOP GO ME! (This is an achievement at the best of times, let alone when pg! ) I really am not a scary person... tho who knows what the hormones will do me...! (Cue call to mum as DH was out, and then a few tears, without giving the game away!).

Blackandwhitecat3 · 15/06/2015 22:18

I can smell at 100 paces if one of my colleagues has been for a fag!

Teenie best of luck for you tomorrow, hope it all goes well, and let us know how you get on.

mrschatty · 15/06/2015 22:33

phiz well done on that I've been a bit of a passive aggressive biatch esp at work when people are being stooopid...
b&w work is horrendous when people bring their smelly lunch to their desk...yuck

Chip86 · 15/06/2015 23:07

Just have the 12 week scan on 29 June no extra scans this time, will not be having nt test eather, what will be will be Smile

Only family that do not know are my DB and my nan think DH is excited keeps telling random people Hmm just hope it does not get back to family who do not know ahhhh
Still so tired
Oh and we'll done on the house kep

coffeenut · 16/06/2015 05:23

We decided to have the harmony test because I'm approaching 35. I'd like to be prepared if there is something wrong, especially given we have two DC already and have to consider them in any decision we make.

Speaking of the harmony test, I'm not sure whether I have to call my ob to get the results or not. I hope I dont have to wait 2.5 weeks until my next appointment to get them!

ValancyJane · 16/06/2015 07:31

Good luck with the scan Teenie :)

Sense of smell, oh god yes, mine's awful at the moment! Kept asking OH if he'd farted last night, think I was starting to give him a complex!

Off work again today, I reeeeally don't feel well! Know I have to go back at some point this week, but just can't picture teaching kids when I feel like this - also I don't always have a TA in with me, so can't always leave the room at the drop of a hat.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 16/06/2015 07:41

Valancy I'm heading back in today, wish me luck! Hope you feel better soon.

Weird weird weird dreams. But can't remember them now to unable to entertain you all.

Have a good day everyone!

OTheHugeManatee · 16/06/2015 07:59

Gah yes, the SuperNose Grin

I fantasise about people who eat smelly takeaway food on the train. And I can smell alcohol on someone's breath, even after only a drink or two, from several feet away. I don't resent DH going out for drinks (he has to do this quite regularly for work) but by God I don't really want to kiss him when he has Confused

good luck teenie! Hope it all goes well.

And good luck at work b&w

moonshine25 · 16/06/2015 08:35

Good luck Teenie!! Fingers crossed all goes well - keep us posted!

Sorry to hear you're still feeling rough valency, definitely take it easy today - I find sleep helps so much.

Random question but does anyone else have an itchy tummy? Very odd!

kep1979 · 16/06/2015 08:47

Is anyone else suffering badly with hayfever? I'm not taking anything but may have to give in and see Dr about what to take as I cannot stop sneezing and my eyes are now really sore. It's not helping me feel any better!

EdgarAllenPoe · 16/06/2015 08:54

Didn't manage my early morning swim today as it took me 2 hours to get back to sleep after my 2am pee. Plus I think I've tweaked my back, which is ironic since last weekend was the first one in ages where I haven't been lugging furniture etc. about. I usually swim twice a week, but so far this pregnancy I only manage 2 swims, followed by one, then 2 swims again. Hoping I'll get back into my groove come the 2nd trimester.

fishermanswife1 · 16/06/2015 09:30

Funnily enough I went to get some local honey yesterday kep to see if that would help. But if you're really suffering ask Dr what is safe to take. Hay fever on top of first trimester fever really doesn't help.

I'm really struggling with tiredness these last few days. Like I can't open my eyes or lift my limbs tiredness. Found the best description on the mumsnet pg calendar...
"Week 10: your tiredness may be the worst it has been. It's an entire body-drooping fatigue that spreads from your feet up through your whole body that's almost pleasantly overwhelming" I don't know about pleasant, but yes to overwhelming.

Going to try a cool shower to try to wake me up. Really need to start work!

Pugmumlondon · 16/06/2015 09:34

Huge nausea today. OH had disgusting protein powder stuff that smells rank at the best of times and today is x100 plus everyone on the tube seemed to smell awful. So grumpy.

lilyb84 · 16/06/2015 10:22

Good luck to those of you braving work today! A healthy portion of mac'n'cheese and an entire day of staying completely horizontal seems to have made a big difference to how I feel today so I'm working from home but actually working today. Got a headache and feeling very dehydrated despite constant pints of water but otherwise much better than yesterday!

Hope your days are all good or at least manageable Smile

Lookingforadvice123 · 16/06/2015 10:24

Good luck teenie!

valancy I'm off sick too today Sad have been battling in every day (only had two days off and that was when I thought something was wrong, not due to feeling poorly) but I felt so horrendous last night, worst headache ever and felt so sick. Glad I did as I went back to sleep after waking up at 5am and managed to sleep until nearly 10am. Hate calling in sick though as I'm so busy someone will have to pick up my work for me, plus it makes people suspicious although I'm sure most have guessed.

Anyone else at 10/11 weeks suddenly been hit with daily headaches? I tend to be a headachey person anyway but haven't suffered so much in the earlier weeks, but it's now daily and they're getting worse. Drinking loads of water so I know it's not that.

Lookingforadvice123 · 16/06/2015 10:25

Oh and the sense of smell! It was one of my earlier symptoms, and unfortunately dh tries to eat low carb so a lot of omelettes and other egg based stuff in this house. Gross.

loveulotslikejellytots · 16/06/2015 11:04

Yep, sense of smell is awful at the moment. I can smell DH's (clean) feet a mile away.

I didn't go to work yesterday, glad I didn't because I ended up feeling very fain and dizzy. I think a combo of not enough sleep, not enough water on Sunday and not eating much is what did it. I rested most of yesterday, DH came home earlier than planned and cooked me salmon, jacket potato and a big pile of veg. It went down very well and I felt a lot better within half and hour.

I'm still not sleeping though. But I did nap a lot yesterday. And fingers crossed still no sickness, nausea comes and goes. Some days are better than others.

We're not having a private scan. I can't remember who was moaning about not having any contact, but chase your gp up. I self referred at 6 weeks, was told the midwife would be in touch by 8 weeks, at 9 I'd heard nothing so my gp surgery have me the midwives number. I called them and they'd never got my details.

I've now got my booking in on Saturday (at home) not sure if that's normal or just because they've squeezed me in. Scan date should be on the post but midwife aid if is not got it by Saturday she will chase it or book it on the phone while she's with me. I'd ring if you've not heard anything.

moonshine25 · 16/06/2015 11:26

Really feel for all those of you having bad days today Hmm today is better than yesterday for me but I think it's a result of lying in bed all afternoon yesterday!

Woke up this morning to two letters from the hospital, one being my scan date of 3rd July, I'll only be 11+3 but I go on hol the next day for 2 weeks so I'm really pleased they given me one before I go! Oh and the other is an appt with the consultant as I'm on the red path due to my bad back. Wonder how that will go!

Really hope everyone is coping!!

SleepyDragon · 16/06/2015 12:15

Oh my! i've been convinced i haven't had the super smell but i keep accusing DH of farting and he's positive he hasn't and i keep thinking i can smell food cooking at work lol!!

i was knackered yesterday, had a migraine Sunday/monday that i couldn't take anything for and it wiped me out at work. got home with the intention of cleaning the bathroom and just collapsed on the sofa instead. Not feeling particularly great today but very very mild nausea and a gurgly tummy combhined with being on the verge of tears through stress at work.......

am also fed up of looking hugely fat rather than PG and not being able to dye my hair

Juniper44 · 16/06/2015 12:38

Hope your scan went well this morning Teenie. I had my follow up scan at the epu and baby is happy and healthy Smile They've moved me forwards too, so am now 8+4, with a due date of 22nd January. The radiographer wasn't happy with the fact I'd ignored her advice and asked my GP to refer me already, but I'm glad I did as otherwise I'd be getting my booking appointment really late.

My sense of smell is very sensitive too- I had to clean DD's explosive nappy last night and I had my first ever pregnancy induced vomiting session. A true milestone!

Oysterbabe · 16/06/2015 13:04

I'm sure the women in my office are looking particularly thin and beautiful today just to spite me.

SleepyDragon · 16/06/2015 13:06

i know the feeling Oyster!

Hmm
OTheHugeManatee · 16/06/2015 13:09

YY to looking pg rather than fat! Can. Not. Wait.

Are people buying different clothes yet? (The folks who don't already have maternity gear in storage.) If you are, a friend just tipped me off tothis website which has loads of maternity/BF clothing and it's all 70% off with the code BBLONDON70 as they're closing down. Some stuff has already sold out but I just ordered a few smart basics (my collection of actually wearable workwear is minuscule right now, especially as thanks to my Hindenburg-sized fibroid I'm already showing Hmm) and saved £250!Shock Fingers crossed they fit...
