Wynsey - I'm still exercising and just listening to my body; so for me no Barry's Bootcamp but spinning and gentle running seem to be fine as do pilates and barre classes.

Hotcrossbuns - are you based in Chiswick? If so which hospital are you going for?

Azquilith · 23/06/2015 19:40

A little wave from my 11+5 baby to you all.

2nd Booking in went well but had to send me to the hospital for bloods as I have 'awkward veins' which I knew. Phlebotomist took 2 vials and patched me up then apologised as she didn't realise she needed 2 more so stuck my other arm as well! DH and I then went across to Mothercare had a costa coffee for lunch and played with the buggies then spent the afternoon looking after our lovely nephew.... Fab day!

As expected I will be under consultant led care due to elevated BMI and high risk of GD due to the amount of people with type 2 in both my and DH's family, but all that really means is I get more scans so get to see bubba more often! Grin

crumble74 · 23/06/2015 20:18

So busy here! Great news about your scan too marvel, what a relief! Hi looking, the NT was measured, it came out as 2.0 which is in the good/normal range. The actual blood results will come back within 2 weeks.

crumble74 · 23/06/2015 20:24

Oh and we also have to buy a new car to accommodate two kids...DH is all over it like a rash!

Oysterbabe · 23/06/2015 20:25

Got home from work and DH has pulled the flat apart. There's stuff everywhere. He's decided we need to create loads more storage space and throw loads of junk out and rearrange. It's like he thinks I'm 8.5 months pregnant not weeks. Chill, we have plenty of time!

aliquid · 23/06/2015 20:37

Woohoo so pleased to hear lots of lovely scan news! I threw up again today and feel like ive been hit by a train tiredness wise. 13weeks today when will it END?! In other news my mother cut out an article on the best double buggies to jog and do buggyfit classes with...not even had this one and she's already nagging me to shape up! I'm a size 12/14 and about 5'5 so hardly mahusive! Just a bit generous of tum and arse!

kep1979 · 23/06/2015 20:38

Is anyone else feeling dizzy? I am this evening. Bit worried as i had Labyrinthitis from December to March, which started a couple of weeks after a virus. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago so am hoping that this isn't the same again. It's not as violently vertiginous (great word) but still need to lie down flat and still.

And there was me feeling quite good on the ms front today.

And whilst i am whinging (sorry) is anyone else waking up really early to go to the loo. It was 5am but the last couple of days it has been 4, and then i can't get back to sleep.

Sorry. Just needed to vent!

SleepyDragon · 23/06/2015 20:45

Kep usually 3am for me.... If it's 5am I try force myself back to sleep as I get up at 5:45am anyway!

aliquid · 23/06/2015 20:53

Ooh just seen stats sheet. Can I update please?

STATS 0 mc, located in Bucks, 20 wk scan 13th August

Thank you!

MissMartin10 · 23/06/2015 21:01

kep - Mee too! urgh its annoying
oyster - i would probably cry if my dp did that lol Grin

lilyb84 · 23/06/2015 21:04

pug I've been lucky with all my dates so far, my local services seem to be very efficient - saw my GP when I was about 4+5 (by LMP) and got my booking and scan dates through the post about a week later for tomorrow (booking) and 7th July. I'm interested to know a more accurate date though and reckon I might be a little too early for the '12 week' scan but will have to wait and see...

kep I've been getting dizzy but it seems to be low blood sugar rather than anything else. I know dizziness and faintness are common but if you're worried or have any fainting spells perhaps check with your midwife or GP? Did you have it with your other pregnancies?

lilyb84 · 23/06/2015 21:05

... also I have such a weak bladder that I haven't really noticed any increase in trips to the bathroom! Guess that makes me lucky right now if not in general life Grin

mrschatty · 23/06/2015 21:17

Now I seen a thread about this a few weeks ago and thought 'surely not...' but something was said to me not once, twice BUT THREE TIMES today... 'so was your baby planned then...' Hmm 1- none of your business 2- why do you need to know 3- yes actually...anyone else had this. Someone did realise how rude that was and immediately said 'sorry I don't know why I asked I just had an overwhelming urge Blush'....I'm still a bit Shock anyone else think this is rude or normal? Bet DH has not been asked this q at all!

MissMartin10 · 23/06/2015 21:29

mrschatty i think its extremly rude!! .. thats exactly what one of the middle aged male insensitive managers said to me at work when i was sent home a few weeks ago ... my mouth could have fallen open.. Angry

Oysterbabe · 23/06/2015 21:30

No one knows I'm pregnant so no. I'll let you know once we tell people.
I actually don't think I'll be offended but maybe that's just because it was planned.

lilyb84 · 23/06/2015 21:30

mrschatty I'll report back once we've gone public but as I said in that previous thread I've been guilty of asking that question... From my experience it was simply because I was desperately wanting a family myself and was perhaps a little too intimately interested in other people's experiences! I never intended it to be rude. Also I think there's a large element of 'crap, what's a good question to ask a pregnant person?' which leads to people bringing out classics like that... Definitely won't be doing it myself in future (and once our news is public I'll be apologising for what I now recognise as unforgivable behaviour...!).

AlohaMama · 23/06/2015 21:31

Thanks for updating the stats teenie. I realised I had kept looking at the stats sheet on Google drive, but it obviously wasn't updating, apologies if I had kept asking for an update that you had already done!

TeenieDeenie · 23/06/2015 21:35

So happy to hear positive news from you both Lilduck and Marvelette!

Tonight I had my first meltdown, hormonal of course. It's funny now but it really wasn't earlier. I was so ill Sat night with sickness/diahorrea so very little sleep. And Sunday night & last night my OH has been up several times with diahorrea, so again not much sleep for either of us.Three nights of not much sleep has resulted in me looking and feeling like a walking corpse today (attractive) I had severe nausea and a really sore head by 5pm this evening. When I got home I just felt absolutely done. I must have had a 'look' about me as when I walked through the door as OH looked up and said 'Hey, what's up with you?' to which I just let rip lol! About how my body's working overtime right now, I feel constantly nauseous, I have a killer headache and to top it off I've barely slept in 3 fucking nights. "I fucked, I'm done, I'm absolutely fucked. I need to sleep!" OH didn't say much, just skulked off to play his 5-a-side football. Ha...

Bit dramatic I know, but after two paracetamol and eating some chicken super noodles for tea I felt good bit better. OH came home and announced he was sleeping on the couch tonight so we 'could both get an early night and a decent sleep'. So, now I've got the bed to myself and a good 9.5 hour sleep ahead of me. Result.

I don't think he was expecting such an outburst as its really not me, crazy hormones! Ha ha ha! Smile

Blackandwhitecat3 · 23/06/2015 21:49

Ah bless Teenie. Glad you feel better now. DH has got used to my outbursts.

Lilduck and Marv, delighted to hear your scans went well today.

Wynsey you're fine to carry on exercising, especially the stuff you've been doing already. Guidelines are: no contact sports/risk of falling, keep hydrated, don't let your heart rate go right up, be aware your ligaments will be loosening so don't push yourself too much.

I'm dying to do some exercise again, have done nothing since I started my IVF, that's like 3 months. Hope to start again next week, but as I've been so inactive I'll need to start really carefully, probably with swimming when I can face it.

Ok folks, I need a bit of a slap, two days of feeling much better with hardly any nausea, and with much more energy, and feeling less hormonal teary rage. In my heart I know it's because I'm heading towards week 12 and that magic end of first trimester, but I'm also doing a bit of worrying that there'll be no bean on that scan on Saturday....

MissMartin10 · 23/06/2015 21:52

teenie - Aww bless you x .. least you'll hopefully get a good kip tonight Grin
lily oyster
mrschatty - thinking about that actually i wouldn't be offended if it was someone i actually spoke to or liked but he was just nosy sod hahaa

mrschatty · 23/06/2015 22:02

lil excellent reasoning!!!! You're all right iabu to be shocked...its just a question really!

meggy22 · 23/06/2015 22:11

My manager asked me if ds was planned when I told her about my pregnancy last time. I don't mind ppl asking but it was the way she asked and she's a b*tch anyways! I'd never ask someone that, well maybe my best friend or sister.

Azquilith · 23/06/2015 23:40

Oh yes, what is it about people asking if it was planned! Haven't told anyone outside family yet but they've all asked. My mum was put out because 'you said you weren't having another one'. Because I really wanted to share my making baby plans with my mother or may have been happy accident

Juniper44 · 24/06/2015 00:15

I was a lot of DD was planned as I'm not married, and apparently living in sin is still a thing. The woman at the register office called DD illegitimate!

I'd never realised my marital status was of such interest to the world until I got pregnant. The nunber of times dp is called my husband, even if in the previous sentence I've called him my boyfriend or partner...!
And suddenly the parents of my class referred to me as Mrs Juniper Hmm

I've even had long discussions with the Royal Mail delivery man about why I'm miss and why parcels come to two surnames. Sheesh.
