I've rung about ten times too. I've really tried. I could scream.

Pugmumlondon · 23/06/2015 14:44

LOVING all the positive news on here today.

Lil so pleased for you that everything is A ok. What a huge relief!

Marv glad you also went for your scan and all was ok. I cried my eyes out in EPU and they were so lovely.

Those going to glasto - braver than me! Best of luck all.

Well done on scan too fisher I'm sure he/she will catch up soon!

July is going to be a busy month for scans and scan news!!

Pugmumlondon · 23/06/2015 14:46

Poe thats a nightmare. Ring switchboard and ask to be put through to PALS. That should get their attention.

OR ask for the service manager for maternity services and complain. You should be able to get through to someone who deals with antenatal appts...

Bluenewbie · 23/06/2015 15:07

Lil such wonderful news!! can't be happier that everything turned out to be ok. congrats on your bean's HB Star

Marv and other ladies who's scan came out great- congrats! :) Flowers

Boosiehs · 23/06/2015 15:14

Oh MAN! My "morning" sickness is really taking the ginger biscuit at the moment. Am 9+2 today and I feel utterly revolting all the bloody time. :(

Booking appt on 3rd July - I really wanted an early scan. I think I might go private.

Has anyone done this in London?

Joey0805 · 23/06/2015 15:37

Boosiehs - yep, at the London Birth Company and the Fetal Medicine Centre (who did my Harmony as well). Both really good and on Harley Street...

12 week scan on Thursday, fx it's all still good!!!

To whoever mentioned skin, mine has been horrible - starting to get a Bit better now and I'm using Eve Lom rescue mask weekly now which has helped loads (I know that's pricey, sure there are loads of clay type masks out there that would do as good a job!).

Joey0805 · 23/06/2015 15:39

My DH is super spur excited about becoming a daddy (he checks the pregnancy app every day and has his own pregnancy book...) but excitement levels have reached new levels since he realised we're going to need a new car! He must have spent hours on auto trader by now!!

kep1979 · 23/06/2015 15:54

joey I love that mask! Have run out and not got around to reordering so thanks for the reminder Smile

My dh is also extremely excited about getting a new car!

BlueEspoir · 23/06/2015 15:59

Ha we bought a new car last Saturday! We would have bought a new car this year in any event but DH has certainly embraced that side of preparing for the bean. Once we left the garage we kept saying what a lucky bean he/she is to have such a lovely new car to be taxied around in Grin

It's so nice to hear all about the scans and see all the cute pictures. I really can't wait for my own 12-week scan on the 6th July!

Lilliana · 23/06/2015 16:03

joey my DH is the same about the car although he's not letting himself get excited about the actual baby after our prev mc. I'm really hoping the 12 week scan will help with that.

Congrats for everyone having scans today - today seems to be a good scan day!

I've actually managed an hour weeding the much needing of attention garden. Feel pretty good for it but now sat down with DD watching Ben and Holly. Going to try to make myself do something a bit more active and productive each day now I'm feeling a bit better. Let's see how long it lasts!

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/06/2015 16:41

lil that's amazing news in so happy for you! Did the somographer say what the bleeding could be? I wish more people spoke about bleeding/spotting during pregnancy as it seems to be so common but when it happens to you of course you panic! My GP was just the same, told me I was probably miscarrying and you could tell she didn't want to book me a scan just wanted me to "wait and see". I'm changing gp's as soon as I've had my scan on Thursday, in fairness I moved house 6 months ago and should've changed then but my current surgery is so much more convenient for work! But I never want to have to see that bitch gp again so it's pushed me to move.

Loving all the scan pics ladies eeeeeek! kep yours is great so clear. Did you have the NT measurement at yours, and if you did can I ask what it was? That's my big anxiety about Thursday at the minute, the Downs Screening Sad

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/06/2015 16:41

Oh and I'm 12+1, still got the nausea although it's not as bad as it was at 9/10 weeks. Those who are further along, has yours gone?

Joey0805 · 23/06/2015 17:03

My nausea, which was loads better most of last week, has been back the last couple of days sadly (now 11+6)...it's nowhere near as bad as weeks 6-8 but I can't wait for it to be gone! So in awe of those of you who are managing to get through it with real sickness!!

MissMartin10 · 23/06/2015 17:05

yay! ive got a scan this friday at the epu @ 11am to check everything is okay! he was a lovley dr and even gave me a sick note until the 11th july with this sickness Smile i cant wait to see my little bean!!

lilyb84 · 23/06/2015 17:11

Can't keep up - what a busy group!

So lovely to hear the happy news from those who've had scans for whatever reason - congrats to all Smile. And edgar I can't believe you're still having such trouble getting your scan dates, that's rubbish. It's amazing how different the system is in different parts of the country - even the next borough along seems to do things completely differently.

Seems like we're in the car buying club too as just bought my first ever car last week. Well... parents-in-law have bought it on our behalf so I need to get up the courage to go and collect it and do my first ever solo drive..! I learned with baby-having in mind as my OH doesn't drive and visiting family - who are all a couple of hours away (more when you factor in public transport) - would have been tricky once the baby arrives.

I'm somewhere around 9+2, still constantly nauseous and now having the joy of on and off headaches but just willing away the days until my scan on 7 July, when I'll be somewhere around 11+2...!

Lookingforadvice123 · 23/06/2015 17:14

Sorry that scan/NT question should've been directed at crumble not kep!

mrschatty · 23/06/2015 17:20

Hay everyone :) ms so bad this week my sympathy with everyone else who is suffering! Roll on Monday HOLIDAY and 12w according to lmp... jealous of all you ladies with 12w scan looming mine is the day after I get back 10th July ill be around 13+4...cba working it out!!!
Excellent news lil and marv xx

FizzyPinkWine · 23/06/2015 17:40

That must be such a relief lil. Great news!
Great to hear about l the other scans.
Got my 12 week scan next Tuesday, I'll be 12+5. Keeping fingers crossed, the last time we went to a 12 week scan it was the mmc. So quite nervous about it.

Bovnydazzler · 23/06/2015 18:05

Yey lil you must be so relieved!!

edgar what's your hospital/midwife service playing at?? Sounds so annoying and ridiculous. Of course you and DH need more than a day's notice.

I have my '12' week scan tomorrow, although pretty sure I'm 9+2. Midwife insisted we used LMP date not ovulation date. I'm okay with that as I get early reassurance, as long as the sonography doesn't look to pissed off for time wasting (which is what happened with DS1...)!

Pugmumlondon · 23/06/2015 18:26

lily you're so lucky! I'm 9+1 and my scan isn't until July 18th!!! I'll be almost 13 weeks.

My sickness has def subsided but I had awful cramps at weeks 5 and 6 (before I knew) and sickness awful from weeks 6 to 8+3. Now just tired, faintly nauseous and hungry all the time....

Man the next few weeks are going to be the longest of my life!

Lilliana · 23/06/2015 18:33

mrschatty were scan date buddies, I'll be about 13 weeks too so hoping my dates aren't too far off and I've missed the chance for testing. Roll on the next 3 weeks!

Wynsey · 23/06/2015 18:57

Looking for some advice - I've went to Metafit Monday and Tuesday and I feel absolutely great doing it. I spoke to my Dr and he said I can carry on doing all my classes just avoid contact sports like rugby (which Id never do!)
I've had my 3 best friends and my Mum telling me to take it easy and should I be doing that?!
Can a plank really cause me damage???
The only thing I can't do is sprints - Nothing can stop these boobs from hurting!!! Angry

Anyone else do any exercise and have thoughts? I'm 8+5.
Xxx

hotcrossbun83 · 23/06/2015 18:57

Boosie - I had an early scan at Baby Bond in Chiswick, they have a few through London. £99 and was really good, lots of pics and info

Lilliana · 23/06/2015 19:25

Wynsey afaik if you exercised regularly before getting pregnant your fine to continue as your body is used to it. They just say don't start a new exercise routine or do certain things like contact sport and I think certain sit ups etc as pregnancy gets further on. I can't remember which though helpful!

MissMartin10 · 23/06/2015 19:28

at least when im due back in work ill be 12w's 2 days later Grin when the dr examined me today he litrally poked my belly 3 times and that was it Hmm was so strange lol
wynsey - i have no idea as i never work out but alsong as ur gp said it's fine then don't worry! they know best :)
