maybe your scan is on my bday! I'm sure that's a good sign!

LilDuck · 22/06/2015 11:22

So the GP said the clots were a real worry and I should prepare myself. Made it sound like it was almost a done deal. And no scan available until midday tomorrow, so I have 24 hours of torture ahead. dh also out the country tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I think the GP was a doom mongerer by nature and I'm trying to remember it might still be okay, but also feel like my heart's breaking. This is just the hardest thing. Sorry to be such a downer, I'm so glad for all of you having a better time of it!

kep1979 · 22/06/2015 11:25

Hi all,

Wow it has been busy this weekend - will catch up properly later. I have mostly spent the weekend asleep or napping or lay on the sofa - bliss.

Went for pre-harmony scan this morning - it was amazing - Bean looks like a proper baby and was wriggling away kicking his arms and legs around Smile Measuring at 10+1 (LMP is 10+2) so can have bloods. Got to pop to drop in clinic at local hospital for bloods and then post them off - they should be back within the fortnight so the next couple of weeks will be a little tense!

I hope everyone starts feeling a bit better soon - my nausea has definitely eased the last couple of days apart from when my eyes are bigger than my belly and I eat too much and then I feel horrific. Ribena is still my friend - I may well have gone off cheese though Shock

mrschatty · 22/06/2015 11:26

lil I'm so sorry to hear this!!!! FX he's a man of doom and things don't work out like that!! Flowers

mrschatty · 22/06/2015 11:29

Everyone feeling poorly - this is one of my worst days today! Putting on a show at work but look hellish one manager said (as I came back from loo being you know what) oh you look awful. I snapped "I'm 11w pregnant...' he was like Shock oh you'll be fine soon then...I hope he's right

melonface · 22/06/2015 11:29

Lil I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm crossing everything that all will be ok Flowers

MissMartin10 · 22/06/2015 11:37

i hope everything is okay lil he doesn't sound very nice! Sad
fx for your scan.. just take care of yourself and have a rest.
thanks everyone Grin ... my manager has contacted me today and wants me to get a sick note dated back to before i was off 2 days before my holiday so she can refund me all my holidays back!?! and one going forward so i don't need to worry about calling in everyday.. Smile

impatientlywaiting · 22/06/2015 11:38

Oh no Lilduck how worrying. I know nothing will be of consolation until your scan but in my experience GPs can be very negative and gloomy about things.

Have everything crossed for you.

MissMartin10 · 22/06/2015 11:39

mrschatty aww! thats mean of him to actually say it.. lets hope he's right!

EdgarAllenPoe · 22/06/2015 11:45

Caught up at last!

Fingers crossed for you LilDuck.

I've not vomited at all, although had the odd bit of nausea. Your talk of Heinz tomato soup is upsetting me though - I hate that stuff. My DH once spilled a whole bowlful in the lounge and it made me want to puke (and I wasn't even pregnant). If he did that now, I think I'd have to leave home for the day.

One new and irritating symptom I've developed over the past week is a sore lower back/hips. Sometimes I get a shooting pain down one side when I walk. It's especially painful to turn over in bed. I've never had a pain like this before. It's either sciatica or pelvic girdle pain (can you even get that this early?). I'm waiting a week to see if it gets better as it is still intermittent. I'm praying it's not pgp, that doesn't look like fun. I only managed one short swim last week as a result (swimming made it worse!). Might try again tomorrow, then we'll see if it's really clearing up or not.

Still no scan date for me. I'm 11+1. Would be nice to know in advance, I'm noticing a pattern here.

mrschatty · 22/06/2015 11:48

missmartin he is pretty thoughtless anyway... His wife had a baby about 18m ago I think he thinks he's the expert. I do look horrible but just need to make it to 4 and I have 1.5hr training session that will help me to just get away from my PC!

loveulotslikejellytots · 22/06/2015 12:29

I have a scan date!!!

This Thursday!! DH can leave work early to come with me, thank god because it's at a different hospital due to availability, it's not one I know very well! So relieved I now have a date!

loveulotslikejellytots · 22/06/2015 12:30

Sorry lil, I didn't read before posting. Fingers crossed for you, I'm sure you'll be fine Thanks

Oysterbabe · 22/06/2015 12:36

Lil how's the bleeding today?

Pugmumlondon · 22/06/2015 12:52

lil thinking of you. Fx xx

poe omg me too! In my back and it feels like into my hip. Awful. Have tried stretching and nothing. Any ideas what it could be? Considering a trip to the osteopath if it doesn't improve?

MissMartin10 · 22/06/2015 12:56

i have pain in my knee caps Hmm
like where they touch in bed at night it hurts so much i have to put a pillow between my legs

Oh the joys huh!? Grin

frozenfairy123 · 22/06/2015 12:56

Thinking of u Lil
Crumble good luck, don't expect your son to sleep at all. Too exciting! Xxx

MissMartin10 · 22/06/2015 12:57

mrschatty - i bet you don't look horrible don't be mean to yourself Smile
& urghh know it alls are so annoying!

kep1979 · 22/06/2015 13:32

lilduck sorry I cross posted earlier - really sorry you are going through this. I hope that you get good news tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

kep1979 · 22/06/2015 13:43

poe I'm having the same on and off - I'm also hoping it's not pgp as it's a bit early and sounds crappy. I did suffer with sciatica with boy of my boys so it is probably that. I am inding sleeping the most uncomfortable.

I am very full of joy today - I feel so much better than I have in weeks and seeing Bean wriggling around this morning made me super excited. So apologies in advance for being overly cheerful Grin I am sure normal service (and nausea) will resume shortly. The only negative is I have horribly itchy nipples.... being at work makes it very inconvenient to scratch!

Yokyil · 22/06/2015 13:44

lilduck fx that all is okay and the gp was just thinking worst case scenario Flowers

BlueEspoir · 22/06/2015 13:44

Kep Glad to hear the pre-scan went well. How exciting! How did it go telling your parents?

Teenie I have felt cold/shivery pretty much since the day I got my BFP! It's only in the last week or so that I've stopped having a hot water bottle - ridiculous considering it's June! I think it's not an uncommon symptom.

Lilduck so sorry you're going through this. We're all thinking of you.

So I had my booking in appointment on Saturday, which we found to be a bit of a disappointment. The midwife seemed pretty disinterested and simply repeated the advice you can find on the NHS website. Her answer to all of my questions was that I should speak to my GP - if I'd known I would have booked a GP appointment 6 weeks ago! She also had a really strong accent which was hard to understand, especially for DH who is French. DH and I were going on to another appointment so he came with me but I'm glad he didn't bother taking any time off work to be there!

SleepyDragon · 22/06/2015 13:57

FX for you lilduck hope you prove the GP wrong!

I really, really wanted a Chicken and Mushroom pot noodle this morning so i got one for my lunch..... needless to say i haven't enjoyed it one bit and now feel queasy! lol!

I did however really enjoy my Chinese last night after my hormonal breakdown over who was collecting it (for the record DH went)

I get pain in my lower back now if ive been laid in one position too long so turning over is a pain in itself.....going to have to google PGP though as not sure what that is Blush

10+4 today by LMP (10+5 by GP) and i have my full on booking in with the midwife tomorrow (the last one with the GP didn't cover everything!) fully expecting to be told i have to have consultant led care being a bigger gal......

impatientlywaiting · 22/06/2015 14:06

Haven't seen a post from Cubano for a while. Hope all is okay with her.

MissMartin10 · 22/06/2015 14:08
