Jan 2016 #4 - heading for the end of the 1st trimester with dating scans and wacky dreams

Cheese - I have it too (11+2); apparently it's delightful bloating (worse than it being the baby, better than it being flab I guess!!) caused by our digestive systems slowing down thanks to all the progesterone. I'm not skinny by any means, an athletic size 10, but my "bump" is much bigger than I thought it would be given the size of the baby and the fact I'm quite muscly. I'm normally pretty flat tummied and now I am not! But its not weight gain really as all my clothes still fit. I wasn't expecting any real physical changes in the 1st trimester (how naive!) and this wasn't a welcome one! Nor were the spots (thankfully almost gone now)!

brickie that's great news And not long to wait for your next scan either.

I have finally had contact with a midwife. I called the midwife led unit to find out my GP hadn't referred me at all - even when I phoned to check as well and they assured me that I had. The booking lady was lovely, took all my details, gave me dates for booking in and 12 weeks scan, and is going to call the GP to tell them off. She said that with my mc history I should have been seen asap, in order for them to look after me properly!

So teenie could you please update my stats - booking in appointment on 30 June, 12 week scan on 6 July. And also I have had 1 mc, and am in Shropshire not Kent

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, nausea has improved in the last few days but still soooooooo sleepy. Have a nice relaxing weekend everyone!

Brickie that's great news about your scan. Ours went well too. After all the worrying the little bean is still there and was very active with a strong heartbeat.

Blue I only joined the bus a few days ago so I'm sure there is plenty of room for another. Congratulations on your pregnancy

sorry for not being up to date sweetpea but did you have any reasons to be worried or just a regular 1st trimester anxiety?

spooble that's great! And we sound pretty similar on symptoms too - I have felt a bit better but absolutely shattered.

Welcome blue - this is a big bus, plenty of room for a little 'un.

I have a little bump - I'm normally a size 8, but am already bursting out of size 10 trews. And my boobs are making a bid for freedom too. This will be dc#3 so am blaming my extremely lax stomach muscles. I know it's not weight gain as I'm down a little on my pre-pregnancy weight due to morning sickness. So assuming crap muscles and bloating, although even when I'm not bloated and lying down my belly is definitely more rounded. Dh thinks it's cute, I think he'll change his mind when I require a reversing beep (I get BIIIIIG in pregnancy - 10lb babies!)

8+1 for me today. Nausea not been too bad, just coming and going every so often. Bearable. I have absolutely no get up and go nowadays. I have such good intentions after work of going home and doing some of the housework or going for a walk or swim. But once I've eaten my dinner I literally can't move from the settee, then am in my bed not long after that leaving my OH to it. Feel a bit guilty.

Blue although this is DC5 for me, yes I'm clearly crazy, it's my fist every IVF. I've had a lot of bleeding and spotting but I'm hoping it's stopped for good this time.

I wouldn't feel too guilty teenie I'm sure OH doesn't mind. Our bodies are doing an amazing thing and it is extremely tiring. I'm useless in the evening and OH is always telling me to rest but I'm so pernickety I end up doing things again which frustrates him.

I have a brown discharge for 19 days now, I've been assured by NHS and fellow MNters that it's ok , nothing to worry.
But had any of you have a discharge/spotting and some bits in it(clots or pieces of tissue?) and then had a happy DC at the end of 9mths?

Teenie, definitely don't feel guilty - you're doing a lot of unseen work there! I'm the same as sweetpea, trying to relax but very fussy so end up doing everything anyway (except the cat litter)... although have to say my OH doesn't seem too put out just yet

I don't have anything approaching a bump at 8+5 (or 9+1, maybe) but am definitely more bloated - my tummy's rounder than usual. I also can't eat too much before getting full which for a complete greedy guts like me is a bit annoying . Haven't put on any weight though - hovering around the same mark as I was pre-pg, so I'm guessing that nearly 6 weeks' abstinence from booze has probably helped me cut down the pounds rather than add them!

Great to hear that so many of you have had happy scans in the last week. As others have said, let's keep them coming...

The last two weeks seem to have flown by in a haze of nausea and complete fatigue so didn't really realise it was coming up

Kep - how on earth do you manage to have such massive babies when you're so tiny?! I truly don't mean that in a rude way I'm just in awe....

I have 4, yes 4, good girlfriends due in the 6 weeks before me (found out about the latest today) - must be something in the water!!!

My nausea had been pretty bad all day can hardly face cooking my tea but DH has taken his dad out for his father's day so it's down to me! Cheesy pasta bake- shoved in oven please can someone grate my cheese :(
I've got define bump but mainly of an evening so must be bloat! Countdown is on to 12w and my holiday.. 9days!

Lol joey i have no idea.... apparently i grow big placentas. They were both early too, ds1 was three weeks early with low fluid so growth restricted (yeah right) and ds2 was a week early.

I am 5' 7" but that isn't that tall really. My dh is 6'4" (which is 3 inches taller than my ex) so i'm a bit worried that this one will be even bigger.

Downside is i have to have c-sections as also have a narrow pelvic arch so no chance of delivering naturally, which is a shame.

espoir i think there are three of us so far on 6 July - only another 17 days to wait!

I'm sure early bumps only appear if you're dlimmer, or rather they are more noticeable as I'm overweight and just look fatter there's no rounded baby type bump at all.

Hi everyone mind me sneaking in? I've been too superstitious to post before my scan but had it today and all is well! I'm 12+3 which actually gives me an edd of 29th Dec but my ds went 6 days over so I'm hoping this one does the same, the 29th is my birthday!
I was on the May 2014 club but RUBBISH at posting and keeping up. Hoping to do a bit better this time around if you ladies don't mind me hanging around with my December date?

Stats: this is dc2 one ds already, edd 29/12. There'll be 20 months between the dcs!

I had my early scan and baby seemed fine- mw just said that perhaps bleeding a little everyday is just what my body does... teenie please update my stats as I was dated a week ahead so my EDD is now 22nd jan and I previously got my 12 week scan date changed to 15 July.

I got my booking appt today 20th July so I'll be 13w and after my 12w scan?!

Bump wise - definitely rounder tummy and boobs have gone from a cup to around a c. Not sure how much it's bloat on my tummy though and the GP said in early pregnancy you conserve fat around your middle to prepare for baby. Still in my jeans (normally a 10 bottom, 8 top) but the way I'm eating not for long!

Nausea hasn't returned yet and it's making me anxious but trying to remember I had scan a week ago and heard heartbeat so all was fine. 9w Monday! I'm so impatient!!
