Hello aliquid, congratulations and welcome! You can be our trailblazer Smile

Good news about your scan Bee. Hope that gives you some reassurance.

Pug that's interesting about the extra fat, I had a feeling most of mine is a little layer of it. Definitely beginning to show a bit though (I'm size 8, now with humongous v large boobs). Will have to be very careful with clothes for the next 2 weeks

aliquid · 19/06/2015 21:39

Thanks! Never been a trailblazer before !

I'm very round but tbh my tummy never quite recovered from the emcs I had last time so think as soon as the hcg got going my stomach muscles thought 'fuck it' and promptly gave up all pretence of being vaguely flat!

mrschatty · 19/06/2015 21:58

ali congrats and welcome x

MissMartin10 · 19/06/2015 22:10

welcome aliquid Congratulations Thanks Grin Thanks x

MissMartin10 · 19/06/2015 22:13

oh how strange pug Hmm ..
have a nice relax over the weekend from your bad week Smile

i can't wait for my drs appt on Tuesday! feel like ive been waiting forever lol

Pugmumlondon · 19/06/2015 22:33

Thanks martin I think I've coped remarkably this week - no tears despite the horror and a 12 hour day today ????

I'm just rapidly running out of clothes to disguise my tummy! I tend to wear very fitted dresses
To work and so awkward at the mo as I can't even disguise with a scarf!

impatientlywaiting · 19/06/2015 23:02

Aliquid I was on the May 2014 group too. How are you feeling about a 20 month gap? Most of the time I'm excited but other times absolutely terrified!

Chip86 · 20/06/2015 00:17

Congratulations on the scans so exciting

aliquid I was also on the May 2014 bus welcome
And welcome all other newbies
Don't forget your uturs is now the size of a melon so even though baby is only a kumquat your uturs is massive hence the bump finding it hard to hide mine Grin

coffeenut · 20/06/2015 01:10

I most definitely have a melon inside me. Definitely showing something (whether it's uterus or bloat or whatever). I'm usually a size 10, moved up to a 12 trousers early on and now have to wear them with an elastic band and a long top. Awkward as I'm quite active with the kids and terrified of flashing everyone my barely held together trousers! I'm sure a lot of my friends have guessed. Even my slouchy jumpers are showing the bump. And DH is in awe of my boobs.

Welcome to blue and ali and anyone else I missed!

Great news on the good scans too brickie and sweetpea Smile Only 4 days until I hit 12 weeks and 6 days until my scan.

Can I give a tip - for anyone prone to thrush, like me, start hitting probiotics. I got it badly when pregnant with DD1 (during last trimester) with all the extra hormones around. It's not as straight forward to treat when you're pregnant so best to avoid if possible, as it's bloody uncomfortable when you feel like a whale anyway.

Juniper44 · 20/06/2015 01:47

Bee we're scan date and due date buddies Smile

BeeMyBaby · 20/06/2015 05:28

juniper at least I have a due date buddy now then Grin I will be very jealous if you end up giving birth before me (ah the irrational crazy of pregnancy hormones)

SleepyDragon · 20/06/2015 08:01

Wow all you slim yummy mummies I feel lie a right elephant in the room!

Before pg I was a 20 bottom and 22 top (UK) with huge 38G boobs.... 10+3 today and can still fit in my jeans because they're uber stretchy but trying to find baggier lose for tops to disguise the definite added layer of more fat....

goes off to hide in a corner

ValancyJane · 20/06/2015 08:01

Coffee Thanks for the tip about probiotics, going to give that a go - thrush has been blooming awful since the day I fell pregnant!!

Having a bit of a mild worry this morning as have woken up with energy and feeling perky and non-nauseous, even managed a coffee for the first time in a week! Am hoping this is just a random 'good day' (I had one just over a week ago, which was why I panicked and booked a scan that showed all was well last Sunday) - but still, hard not to worry. I know it's not always a sign, but I do find the nausea reassuring!! Am 9 weeks tomorrow, so would be surprised if morning sickness has gone altogether.

Yokyil · 20/06/2015 08:02

coffee am so prone to thrush - normally get it every couple of months...it's grim! So probiotic yogurt or the little probiotic drinks?

brickiemum2 · 20/06/2015 08:09

Also interested in which probiotics...I've also been plagued with thrush since conception (I generally am anyway...apparently it's a familial tendency) I eat bioyoghurt on a daily basis but that obviously not enough. I won't entertain those drinking yogurts...the runniness gives me the heave Hmm so hoping for a recommendation for a good tablet form.

BeeMyBaby · 20/06/2015 08:37

Just to say you can still use 'multi-gyn' products during pregnancy and they do one for thrush, I just tend to use their actigel as a preventative measure though (and have for years) as previously I used to get thrush all the time.

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 08:55

I get thrush pretty regularly - side effect of the coil - but I found these active probiotic tablets work we'll. Does anyone know if they're safe in pregnancy?!

I'm just under 9 weeks and still have bloating, constant hunger, sore boobs and the middle of the night weeing but no sickness other than immediately post eating. Choosing to remain positive and that my hormones are settling down!!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 20/06/2015 09:07

Valancy I've woken up feeling a lot better this morning too, but not worried at all, I'm sure it's the effect of not having to go into school!

Need to get me some more watermelon though...

ValancyJane · 20/06/2015 09:12

b&w Hmm that could be it!! To be fair last night I did go to bed early as I was shattered, so that's a good sign, and I slept for a solid eight hours without waking up, so maybe that's it. Am lying in bed and keep thinking 'hmm do I feel a teeny bit queasy? Or is it just in my head?' I swear I used to be a vaguely rational person before I got pregnant!

I am intrigued by the talk of watermelon on this thread, you lot were all right about the frankfurters...

Readyforthefuture · 20/06/2015 09:19

Can I indulge myself in a little whinge this morning?

Yuck - UTI is not only stinging, but the antibiotics I've been described are tablets. It's hard enough taking my pregnacare tablet, now I'm up to 4 tablets a day to keep down.

Also wake at 3am every night feeling like a furnace, belly and boobs are constantly hot.

Whinge over Smile

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 09:23

It's ok ready I have such sore boobs that when I have no bra on the only way to walk around and be comfie is to hold them up with my arm!! I also have the bladder the size of a pea and am constantly thirsty. Constantly.

No sickness today but seeing as there's no sign of change in my other symptoms I think we're ok! At least the early week cramping has gone now that was a killer x

Pugmumlondon · 20/06/2015 09:24

Ps. Supremely jealous of anyone who can sleep through. Can't remember the last time I slept through solidly without waking up to go to the loo Sad

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/06/2015 09:27

Congrats on the scanaliquid! Course you can join, there's a few of us with early Jan EDD's I think, and a few of us having our 12 week scans this coming week - including me woohoo! My EDD right now is 4th Jan, hoping it will be a bit late as early Jan is a rubbish time to have a birthday!

Woke up feeling all headachey again today, and soooo tired in spite of 8+ hours sleep, but I can't get back off Sad looking forward to being into the second trimester a week Mon when I'm 13 weeks!!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 20/06/2015 09:32

Whinge away Ready, that's one of the things we're here for. I've given up on the big preggo tablets, that's just one too many retches in one day for me.

Valancy yes, and having gone to bed early and not needed to get up early. Exactly!

mrschatty · 20/06/2015 09:41

Morning all. DH cane home around 1am from his 'fathers day' meal and pub with fil and bil. Woke me up telling me about some ridiculous emotional blackmail his brother threw on him it rilled me up so bad I couldn't sleep again! Cue me sitting with a brew and hello magazine at 2 am! When I came back he was simultaneously snoring and chatting in his sleep.. spare room for me. It's right on a main road so hardly any sleep at all. Decided I'm doing NOTHING today.
