Good luck with your scans today brickie and sweetpea!

Blackandwhite I've been buying mini snack packs from Sainsbury's which have 4 small pieces of watermelon in (and no other fruit) - they also have larger packs. Worth checking your local one, or are you near any fresh markets to buy a whole one to yourself? (mmm...) Smile

coffeenut · 19/06/2015 08:32

brickie good luck!!! sending positive vibes!

so glad this week is over. Has been a miserable one for a few reasons (mainly sick DDs who aren't sleeping very well). Really could do with a glass of wine tonight (after 5 here)!!!

fishermanswife1 · 19/06/2015 08:38

Good luck at scans today!

I bought a huge bucket pot of just cubed watermelon from Tesco while away at the weekend. Heaven. No Tesco by us now, so I've got myself a whole one to start carving in to.

I'm with you on the fatigue kep. Can't shake it off! Also woken up today with the most painful boobs. They've been sore throughout, but my God this morning they're terrible.
Not allowing myself to buy any maternity gear until after the 12 week scan. But roll on next week. First order of business, hot milk sleep bra! (and then maternity leggings)

BeeMyBaby · 19/06/2015 08:38

Someone just asked me to carry some fairly heavy boxes at work (not part of my duties anyway) and I tried to politely refuse staying I had hurt my back- do you think that's the best excuse I should go for? Normally I'm very helpful and happy to lift stuff which is probably why they asked... I've got my private scan this evening as well, hoping it will put my mind to rest, though I'm not sure how long after manatees news, really feeling like it won't be safe to exhale until after the 12 week scan.

coffeenut · 19/06/2015 08:44

I'd say your doc said no heavy lifting atm Bee Good luck with your scan.

melonface · 19/06/2015 08:56

Morning ladies

I need some hand holding or a slap round the chops. I'm 8 weeks and my nausea has disappeared, on Tuesday when I was 7+6 I felt awful, the worst day yet. And now it's completely gone Confused can any of the other 8 weeker's reassure me that it's not all going wrong?!

MissMartin10 · 19/06/2015 09:02

melon im the same i have been horrendously sick now since yday dinner its gone away! don't worry melon its totally normal for it to come and go Smile

MissMartin10 · 19/06/2015 09:02

mrschatty · 19/06/2015 09:13

Everyone whose nausea is dropping off- mine does then bam when I wake up Envy
Don't start work till 11 so have some time to try and settle my stomach before I go!

crumble74 · 19/06/2015 09:53

Good luck with scans today girls!

I hear you coffee, was up 3 times tonight with poorly DS. Then he woke up at 5am bright as a button but with a very snotty/crusty nose!

Thank God I went to bed at 9pm last night.

Have a lovely day all.

Oysterbabe · 19/06/2015 10:39

If this 8ww doesn't hurry up I'm going to lose my fucking mind. That is all.

melonface · 19/06/2015 10:54

Amen to that oyster

Tonicandgin · 19/06/2015 11:12

I'm 10 weeks and it comes and goes. My friend reminded me it was the same last time it comes in waves.

I have a day where I feel well (and inadvertently worry) and the next day I feel like I've been hit by a bus. Awful.

Off on holiday tomorrow! Early-ish flight so hoping for no MS, dreading having the entertain dd (20 mths) for 2.5 hours whilst being exhausted and vommity.

Does anyone know if I can eat seafood??

And I can eat cooked chorizo??

SleepyDragon · 19/06/2015 11:12

B&W tesco do plastic pots/tubs of just watermelon if you're anywhere near one.....

Melon i've only had nasuea (no vomiting) thorughout so far and i'm 10+2 but it disappered completely for a few days around 8+5. It came back with avengeance at 9wk and now its fluctuating a bit, not much nausea just slight heavines in tummy and weird purple nipples (TMI lol)

lilyb84 · 19/06/2015 11:48

Tonic cooked chorizo and seafood are both fine - just no raw shellfish! Also avoid any fish from the top of the food chain (swordfish, shark) as they contain higher levels of mercury I believe.

Good luck with the hols!

Yokyil · 19/06/2015 13:22

12 weeks today!! It's felt decidedly long and short at the same time. Nausea coming and going everyday - heartburn / acid throat as it's now called is trying to ruin me! On days when the nausea isn't bad the heartburn then tries to demolish me. Tiredness hitting me like a tonne of bricks - new bed time is normally 8.30pm Grin know someone else said about burping - I've been doing nothing but burping this past 2 weeks, really quite gross Confused good luck with the scans ladies!!!

fourlegstwolegs · 19/06/2015 13:45

Bee the no lifting thing is old wives tale so don't worry. I'm hefting bales of hay and 20kg sacks of feed so you will be fine :) Unless of course you've been told not to by a health professional.
Nausea coming and going here too. Also riddled with worry, especially in the wake of Manatee and Billy....

Pugmumlondon · 19/06/2015 13:50

8 weeker here and no nausea most of the week. Staying calm and enjoying the positive for now..!

Oysterbabe · 19/06/2015 13:55

Almost 8 weeks here. Time is standing still.

Manatee's horrible outcome has made me glad I didn't bother with the early scan in the end. She was OK at 7 week scan then miscarried at 10 weeks. I don't think the early scan would have calmed me very much.

kep1979 · 19/06/2015 14:15

Wow yokyil 12 weeks! That's great. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, cannot wait for the next few weeks to pass. I am trying to be optimistic, as to be otherwise will melt my little brain. So I'm focusing on the soon to be good things - like the excitement of telling my boys about their future younger sibling, and telling work I'm leaving at Christmas Grin

This fatigue is killing me though.... how many hours until hometime??

brickiemum2 · 19/06/2015 14:33

Hi girls. Had my scan this morning and it went brilliantly Grin Baby is measuring 10+4 and was so active she struggled to measure it lol. Heartbeat looked lovely. I've got another early scan booked in for the 3rd July then my dating scan on the 8th.

Readyforthefuture · 19/06/2015 14:42

Awesome result brickie, I think we all needed some good news this week. It's been a tough one!

crumble74 · 19/06/2015 14:58

Fab news brickie! Yes we needed to hear some positive stories!

lilyb84 · 19/06/2015 15:03

Brilliant brickie! So glad it went well Smile

Can't wait for my scan now, got to hold out for another 2 and a half weeks for the first glimpse...!

CheeseLover8 · 19/06/2015 15:10

I just wondered whether people are starting to show a little bump at all yet? This is my first pregnancy and I'm 10+1. I seem to have a bit of a bulge, but it seems quite early to be showing. Just wondering whether it's down to my reduced exercise or could it actually be the bump?
