Had booking in appt today .... VERY excited now!! Midwife was lovely!!

Super noodles are a cracking idea .... I had some last week for tea as all I could stomach .... It was like a 5 star meal!!

flyinghighinthesky · 05/06/2015 18:21

kep so pleased to hear I'm not the only accountant that does this!!
I had a fantastic budget spreadsheet for DD1

fishermanswife1 · 05/06/2015 18:47

Thanks girls.

Yep, love a good spreadsheet here too. Always kept our accounts mapped out, and finding really useful now with all this new info to think about. It's a bit overwhelming!

I can't remember who sorry, but someone mentioned back pain, down into bum cheek. Sounds like sciatica. I've had it on and off for ages, but worse now pg. Doesn't help that it you look really odd wanting to rub your bum all the time!

fourlegstwolegs · 05/06/2015 19:52

Welcome fish! Ironically I am out tonight to a fish place for date night - it's been AGES since DP and I last went out "a deux". I get evening sickness rather than morning sickness but that isn't going to put me off dinner. No sireeeeeee.

AlohaMama · 05/06/2015 20:15

Lying on the sofa, eating a frankfurter while watching crap TV. Made me think of you ladies Grin

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 05/06/2015 20:28

Welcome to the new ladies!

Been a bit quiet for a few days, didn't have anything new to report.

Went for another attempt at giving a blood sample today at the hospital where I work. The lady was lovely even though I was nervous, and she got plenty of blood out from the first vein straight away. No messing about, was great. If only it could be like that every time!

Another good thing- came home from work to find a letter on the mat. Got my scan date! Grin It'll be 8th July though so feels like ages away!

SleepyDragon · 05/06/2015 20:37

So..... Since Sunday I have been 'craving' sweet and sour chicken and rice. Tonight DH is out so I have the place to myself and treat myself to said Chinese yumminess

Just 6 mouthfuls later and I am so full I could explode - I feel cheated!

Phizpop · 05/06/2015 21:10

teenie that's awful re GP leaving details at your old address, they should only speak to you, not someone else or leave a message with personal details. I know you plan on changing surgery, but have you complained?

Maybe glad they got blood out of you quickly and easily today! And yay for scan date!

We are hoping we get a scan date before SiL visits (when I'll be 12 weeks exactly)... Booking appt next wk... Getting real now!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 05/06/2015 21:25

Welcome fish and newbie, congratulations.

moonshine I'm totally with you on the teeth cleaning, have been retching for days every time :(. Also Dragon, yes, total craving then then one mouthful and can't stomach it.

On the plus side, I had a bit of a break from the nausea today, a little respite, although it's still there in the background.

I seem to have had crisps as half my food intake this week. So not like me!

Phizpop I was so relieved when it worked first time. Barely felt the needle go in. The woman must be a genius! I hope she does all my bloods in future!

Sleepy I really wanted sweet and sour chicken for several days. Finally got a little rice and sauce thing to microwave at work and had that yesterday. Apart from the lack of chicken it tasted so good! Today I felt like pepperoni pizza but due to bees taking up residence in the roof of our front porch, I daren't order one or I'd have to open the door and welcome them in a bit!

Lookingforadvice123 · 05/06/2015 21:38

teenie thanks for updating the stats! My 12 week scan is 25th June, already had an early and having another early 11th June!

Is it just the one mmc that you've had? If so its good that your midwife has referred you for an early scan at LPU! Most places I think you have to have several mc before they'll consider you for an early scan, bad really as 12 weeks is so long to wait even for someone who's never had a mc. I know I couldn't have waited in the end.

To anyone considering booking an early scan, do it! Worth every penny. I can recommend:
Peek-a-boo Baby (where I went, £40 for an early scan)
First Encounters (around £80, a friend went there and recommended it).

mrschatty · 05/06/2015 21:54

looking a week today until my early scan- ill be 9+5 v.excited. but I paid the grand sum of £99 at babybond manchester! But comes highly recommended from 2 friends...
Nausea really bad today I feel really hungover...yuck get me to bed :( someone please come and put my clean sheets on my bed (still hanging on the line!!!)

CubanoHabana · 06/06/2015 04:42

Early scan today! 12 week scan 29th June!

Lookingforadvice123 · 06/06/2015 07:52

Good luck to those having early scans! The equipment is so much better than in the hospital, where I went you could hear the heartbeat which they don't do at EPU, was amazing!

Tonicandgin · 06/06/2015 08:38

Welcome newbies and good luck to those having scans!

Nightmares anyone..?

Last night I dreamed that I HAD to have sex with this taxi driver.. In the adjoining bed to dh Shock I really didn't want to but apparently I couldn't get out of it ?! WTAF. Anyway just as he went to the bathroom to 'sort himself out beforehand' (whatever that entailed) dh and I realised we could just lock the door and I, in fact didn't have to do anything.

Anyway woke up then and was awake for 2 hours!!! Yawn.

Wish I could get rid of these nightly nightmares.Confused

Oysterbabe · 06/06/2015 08:46

Two nightmares last night. In one a colleague was trying to kill me and in the other the house was full of spiders.

moonshine25 · 06/06/2015 09:03

Oh those sound awful oyster and tonic - and so rubbish when you can't get back to sleep after!! Thankfully no nightmares here although I'm sleeping so much more lightly now..

Oh I so want to go for an early scan!! DH is all for it but only if we can't get an NHS scan before we go on holiday. I'll have to hope the midwife can book my scan before I think as I would like the NF test anyway. Do you know if it's offered to everyone or if you have to ask to have it?

Good luck to all those having scans today!

moonshine25 · 06/06/2015 09:05

Oh and toner craving pot noodles, there are these things called mugshots that are better for you than pot noodles (slimming world wise) and they satisfy my cravings Smile

mrschatty · 06/06/2015 09:07

Argh tonic and oyster I too had a terrible nightmare-
I was at a really heavy rock concert everyone was moshing about and this old creamy dirty man with a scraggy long grey beard grabbed me- wouldn't let me go and only bloody raped me! Phew was so happy to wake up!
moon my screening tests are offered to everyone unless you opt out- they discuss it with you at booking I'm give you leaflets etc but I've gone in and signed the consent forms already xx

mrschatty · 06/06/2015 09:08

I don't know what creamy is supposed to Be in my above post...sorry

OTheHugeManatee · 06/06/2015 09:36

I dreamed I miscarried Sad was so glad to wake up with stain free knickers.

Shock at others' dreams. Horrible isn't it?

fishermanswife1 · 06/06/2015 10:01

Horrible dreams are regular with me now too. And I keep waking up at 4am... Why?

Off to tell in-laws today. We had only told my parents due to needing some specific family history info. Not telling anyone else yet. I just have a big , what would be boozey, event with very close friends next weekend and DH has said that he would be disappointed if they guessed before we had told his folks. Which I can understand.

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 06/06/2015 10:02

mrschatty Maybe you meant 'creepy'?
