Forgot to mention the night weeing! Twice last night which was an improvement from the weekend !

I'm a little bit gutted, I've been asked to apply for a years secondment in a different department where I work. It's my dream job, more money, I already know all the people there because I've been working alongside them for a year on something. It wouldn't start until September, I don't think it would be fair to take it if I was leaving 3 months later. Hopefully it'll come up again though, you never know!

fourlegstwolegs · 04/06/2015 10:00

Another self employed here. Its only about £110/week isn't it? Agree, pretty shocking - especially as my DP is also self employed so he won't be able to afford to take any time off at all!

mrsfazruns · 04/06/2015 10:11

sleepy Im with you on the 8 week symptoms!! I was telling everyone at work yesterday how great I was feeling then spent the rest of the shift in the loo vomiting!!!

mrsfazruns · 04/06/2015 10:18

I didn't realise mat leave varied so much between employers!! I'm really lucky as k get 6 months full pay, 3 months SMP and 3 months none but plan on saving my annual leave up this year and taking 4-5 weeks before Mat leave then the new leave year I will be able to take 4 weeks leave at the need of mat leave which means Ill really only have 2 months with no pay!! DH and I Really need to start saving though !!! X

brickiemum2 · 04/06/2015 10:32

I won't even qualify for smp unfortunately. I've decided since it's not the be all and end all for us not to worry about it. We'll just have to manage Grin

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 10:32

fourlegs, what's worse is that if you earn less the payments go down. And you have to be in continuous weekly employment for a certain amount of time - I'm a musician, all my work is school based, I get screwed over by the holidays... I still need to check it out properly but that's what I found out last time. I'd say we need to start preparing now really.

I love the idea of the baby jar! Might find myself one of those.

Last for days I've been such an early riser. Couldn't tell if it was the cold that floored me this week or possible pregnancy. Bfn confirmed yesterday and again a 5am rise this morning! Usually it takes an hour for my alarm to wake me if I've had 9 hours sleep!

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 10:33

Also, nosebleeds anyone?

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 10:42

This might seem like a stupid question, but does anyone know of an app that does time lapse baby bump pics? I didn't do it last time because I thought it was stupid, but after we lost ds I wished I'd got more memories of him. So I want to do it this time.

SleepyDragon · 04/06/2015 10:43

I get 6 weeks 90% pay then 11 weeks half pay + SMP then anything i take after that is SMP only.

i'm looking at trying to take my remaining 18 days A/L from 15 Dec to 13 Jan (EDD is 14 Jan) and starting Mat Leave then so it can take me through to end of May without landing on SMP only.....

My boss (the only work related person i've told at the mo as i couldn't hide the nausea) has been really good though and has already said about me doing either compacted hours or shorter hours when i return.

SleepyDragon · 04/06/2015 10:50

haquoi i think you mean BFP not BFN!! Also, do you want an appm for android or apple? I know there is one called cinemama but i think its just iPhones.

mrsfaz great isn't it...... lol!

haquoi123 · 04/06/2015 11:01

Thanks sleepy, bfp indeed! For Android :) it's great that your boss is so understanding!

SleepyDragon · 04/06/2015 11:10

You're conditioned into N's not P's i reckon haquoi xx

Try Overlapse, i think thats jut a generic time lapse app for Android so it should do pregnancy as well.....

she really is yes, though i know she is already panicking about me being away for X amount of time as when i have a month off last year for our wedding and honeymoon a lot of the work fell to pieces and noone would pick it up (despite it being assigned to them a month before i went off!)

I want to leave it as late as possible before i go off so i can have more time afterwards wih the bubba but that kinda depends on the bubba hanging around till their EDD lol

Well that and how long i can fit behind the steering wheel for to get to work rolls eyes

oneconfusedchick · 04/06/2015 12:07

I hated my job when I had my DS and was pretty certain was not going back so I left at 11 weeks prior to due date!! Was crazy early looking back - especially as I didn't give birth till 40+13! It was the best decision at the time though! This time I like my job in admin so am probably going to work until christmas - then have a month before birth. It kinda seems pointless going back after dec however when I get a revised due date (irregular periods) then I will have a clearer idea! I haven't been at my job long enough to get OMP so just SMP for me. It does mean I get to keep it though even if I don't go back - but I think I will!

Blimeygirl · 04/06/2015 13:48

I was waking up at six am every morning but now the knackered feeling has really set in so really struggling to wake. It's like a bad hangover without having drunk anything for weeks!

mrschatty · 04/06/2015 13:59

blimey that's exactly how I described it...hangover feeling without tge fun night out!!! I've just caved and booked an early scan for sat 16th ill be 9+5 xx

Yokyil · 04/06/2015 14:07

kep I'm with you on feeling rubbish today - woke up with such a sore throat and everytime I swallow I get the sharpest pain in my ear Sad just wanna get home from work and into bed with a hat on or something lol.
Will be 9 weeks tomorrow - getting odd tummy pains yesterday and today, stretching right round my sides like trapped wind but there all day. Feels odd Confused

mrschatty · 04/06/2015 14:24

yokyil I'm having the exact same thing today. Very painful stretching but not in uterus xx

Yokyil · 04/06/2015 14:42

Like belly button height mrschatty as if you've pulled a muscle? Strange sensation. Feel quite icky today, and tired ...and moany Hmm Have a work meal this eve - really want steak but am too chicken to order some just in case Confused doesn't leave me with much else as this bean doesn't seem to like much more than sandwiches! Could have sandwiches 4 times a day at the minute, can't get enough

mrsfazruns · 04/06/2015 15:33

Same tummy pains here too ... Just feels kind of all over!!!

mrschatty · 04/06/2015 15:44

Yeah around belly button and down sides it was so painful and now it's vanished xx

OrangeBeehive · 04/06/2015 15:53

Hello all, loving the weather at the moment - hope everyone is feeling well enough to enjoy it!

Has anyone had their midwife booking in appointment and already received their scan date, and if so how long did it take? My midwife appointment was a week ago and still no scan date at nearly 10 weeks...getting impatient!

TeenieDeenie · 04/06/2015 16:13

This may be a ridiculous question, but does anyone have the energy to exercise at the moment??? I am trying to walk a 1.5 mile lap around my area as soon as I get in from work every evening. This week I've managed one, I just don't have the energy! Between the nausea and waking up at 4am every day, I'm really struggling to get even just the slightest bit active.

frozenfairy123 · 04/06/2015 16:18

Self employed here so just the smp Which is rubbish. Saving like mad but will have to go back early.

Vomiting loads still, got cold too which doesn't help and struggling to do anything. Xxx

EdgarAllenPoe · 04/06/2015 16:50

OrangeBeehive I'm 8+4 and I still haven't even had any contact to book the booking in appointment. The scan date is a dim and distant dream! Apparently the midwives in my area don't contact you for the booking in until you're 10 weeks gone. Here's I'm not in a meeting when someone finally calls!

Phizpop · 04/06/2015 17:23

teenie I'm struggling with exercise too. I go for a jog with a friend on Mondays, felt so awful this week I ended up giving the game away (she is the motivator and I really had to stop!) I'm absolutely exhausted too, also not sleeping well, glad I'm not the only one.

Went to GP today, she helpfully said symptoms only get worse (but it's worth it!!)
Worst day of nausea to say Envy. Mercy plea to DH to get travel bands and it is easing a little now... Wish I could tell those i work with, currently I'm saying "oh yes I'm fine!"... As soon as I say I'm nauseous they will suss...!
