Haha Edgar that just made me laugh! I had a similar moment on Monday on the beach, just started crying because the dog was being a pain and this lady was being rude! Ha even when I was crying I couldn't believe I was being so stupid!! I guess it's a good thing we have pregnancy to blame it on...

So these sickness bands, we're thinking they work then kep and lilliana (sorry if I've got those names wrong, I'm on my ipad and can't scroll down whilst typing a message). Think I may need to get some of those, can you get them from chemists?

moonshine25 · 03/06/2015 13:29

Oh and fingers crossed your house completes next week kep!

And sleepydragon, the strawberries were very healthy so they're allowed!

impatientlywaiting · 03/06/2015 13:32

Haquoui, so sorry for your previous loss. That must have been so difficult. Massive congratulations on this pregnancy, and wishing you an uneventful 9 months.

haquoi123 · 03/06/2015 13:42

Thanks impatiently. It was hell and I miss ds every day but we're starting to heal now. Keeping my fingers crossed we get there this time x

SleepyDragon · 03/06/2015 13:48

If it makes you feel any better Edgar i had the hormonal rage instead of sobbing. DH was winding me up (usualwith us) and i bit back and had a right go at him. He just sat there laughing calling me hormonal which did not help lol!

Moonshine thats what i tried convincing myself lol!

crumble74 · 03/06/2015 13:53

Welcome haquoi and so sorry for your loss last year. All the best for this pregnancy Flowers

kep1979 · 03/06/2015 14:02

moonshine I am tentatively saying the seabands take the edge off. I got mine in the states, but think last time I got them from Boots? They should be in the travel sickness bit. www.boots.com/en/Boots-Adult-Travel-Bands-1-Pair-12-years-_1121524/ - mine are similar to these.

TeenieDeenie · 03/06/2015 14:03

Thanks kep and lilliana, will stop at Boots on my way home and pick some up. Even if they improve the nausea, they're worth the money!

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/06/2015 14:04

By the way, did parsnip ever come back after she had a bleed a while ago? I know she had another appointment to check her hcg but I never saw any other messages about whether she was still going to go or not.

mrsfazruns · 03/06/2015 14:22

edgar that made me giggle!! I hysterically starting crying the other day because DH was trying to make me laugh!!

SleepyDragon · 03/06/2015 14:36

goodness i don't think so, i haven't seen her since Sad

SleepyDragon · 03/06/2015 14:40

Just checked the 2nd thread, she never posted after 29 May when she announced the bleeding.

hope she is ok.....

BeeMyBaby · 03/06/2015 15:27

So I had to leave work early as I had horrendous abdominal cramps, to the point that I was in tears for about an hour, sweating and pale. They seem to have stopped now and I've not had any bleeding yet but I'm going to try get a gp appointment tomorrow to have an hcg test. I'm hoping I just ate something that didn't agree with me, but it really was as painful as the start of established labour.

fourlegstwolegs · 03/06/2015 15:31

I AM SO HUNGRY! All the time!!!!!

OTheHugeManatee · 03/06/2015 15:56

Bee Hope everything is OK Flowers

fourlegstwolegs · 03/06/2015 16:13

Oh dear Bee I didn't see your post as it must have gone up while I was typing. Fingers crossed for you xx

FizzyPinkWine · 03/06/2015 16:28

Fingers crossed for you Bee.

FizzyPinkWine · 03/06/2015 16:29

Fingers crossed for you Bee.

FizzyPinkWine · 03/06/2015 16:30

Sorry, don't know why that posted twice!

TeenieDeenie · 03/06/2015 16:32

Sorry you've been poorly Bee, hope the pain stays away and fx for tomorrow.

Lilliana · 03/06/2015 16:40

Hope all is ok bee

edgar I very nearly cried in the middle of toddler group when DD went to bite - it wasn't a major thing, the other mum was lovely and she didn't actually do it but I had to get my things and go so I could cry in the car! Im in floods about all sorts of rubbish atm - DH keeps muttering about how he's going to have to start censoring TV for me!

I think the bands are helping but I need to wait until tomorrow to be sure. Any idea how I can wear them to school tomorrow without anyone seeing? Even long sleeves pull up when writing on the board etc. also how do I stop eating/sleeping/crying at rubbish?! I Only work thur and fri so lucky but don't know how I'm going to get through them!

Lilliana · 03/06/2015 16:42

Also I have to stop eating - all I want are cheese and carbs and I'm being a bridesmaid in 6.5 weeks! What takes the edge off the sickness for you - I'm trying fruit and carrot sticks etc but it just doesn't do it for me and I've gained loads of weight already :(

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/06/2015 16:46

liliana try sugar free hard boiled sweets or mints.

ValancyJane · 03/06/2015 17:03

Welcome Haquoi :)

Bee Fingers crossed that everything's okay for you. Any chance it could have been digestive issues? I had some bloody awful cramps just after getting my BFP (as in lying face down on the bathroom tiles with agonising stomach cramps, sweating and trying not to vomit at 2am...) - haven't had it since and all seems to be going smoothly (touching every piece of wood in sight) and looking back I think it was digestive, but at the time I was sure I was miscarrying. Have drunk peppermint tea daily since and not had anything like it, thank god.

Liliana All I want to eat is jacket potatoes with cheese and hummus on. All the time!

Fellow teachers on here (I know there's a few of us!) I need some advice. Member of SLT called me into their office today to discuss the timetable for next year; turns out they're trying to give me three sixth form classes and some top set exam classes as I will inspire and motivate them, and due to the staffing issues this year and so many people being off there's not been any consistency and they want to make sure they get that next year. I could just keep quiet until 12 weeks and then admit all, but they're planning a timetable reshuffle in a few weeks so I can start with them early. While part of me's soooooooo tempted to keep quiet for a nice timetable for a term... Morally I have to 'fess up, don't I?? (Sidenote: I am planning on asking for part time on my return, which they are generally not keen on, so don't want to piss anyone off!).
