Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

Flowers and hand holding Looking, how are you doing? xxxx

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 07:01

Looking hope you are ok Hun x

Woke up about 3:00am this morning with some sharp pains in my womble. Struggled to get back to sleep worrying so am knackered now. However I think I had my first wave of MS this am, felt like my belly was in my throat.

How is everyone today? I'm trying my best to take each day as it comes at this stage.

Hobbit19 · 28/05/2015 07:06

Stabby pains seem to be par for the course Jelly, so try not to worry. MS is a good sign. Are you working today? I had to get up at 6am to eat breakfast because I was so hungry it hurt!

LaLaLaaaa · 28/05/2015 07:10

Uggggggg...feel drugged. Sleep never enough these days.

LaLaLaaaa · 28/05/2015 07:10

Good luck for all you with scans or appointments today. Rhi is it your 20 week scan?

OP posts:
RhiannonElward · 28/05/2015 07:15

looking hope all is better this morning, spotting is common but I know it's impossible not to worry. Thinking of you Flowers

Jelly early pregnancy is tough, every twinge sets of alarm bells, taking each day as it comes is a good idea but try to relax and get a nap later if you can.

Well I have to leave for my scan in about an hour, today's the day I find out what we're having and argue my case for a vba2c a bit better with my consultant (providing my placenta is where it's supposed to be anyway). Today will clear up a lot of uncertainty and I am looking forward to being able to plan my birth and get arguing over names in earnest :)

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 07:15

Thanks la my friend said the same re. The pains. Doesn't stop a small part of me worrying though.

I get up at 6 for work every day anyway, but just had a sugary tea to settle my stomach instead of food. It's not too bad at the moment but I assume it gets worse lol.

Oo scans today!! Exciting.

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 07:16

Thanks rhi :) you're finding out the flavour? Any guesses?

Purpleball · 28/05/2015 07:21

Jelly those pains frightened the life out of me. I used to get them all the time. Still do occasionally. They are enough to make me ow, and usually a sign I'm doing too much! Although turning over in bed used to give me them.

I don't know where babypurple kicked me last night but it hurt. It was low down, maybe my first fanny dagger?

Hope everyone is ok today Smile

Looking let us know how you're getting on. Hopefully the bleeding stopped. Gx for you Thanks

Purpleball · 28/05/2015 07:23

Happy scan day Rhi, hope yours is more cooperative than mine
Smile I'm back for the rest of my 20w on Friday

RhiannonElward · 28/05/2015 07:31

Jelly everyone thinks girl, so my rebellious streak thinks boy. We already have one of each so I'm really not bothered but it'll be nice to get used to it in advance, I'm awful at not knowing things, there is no way on Earth I could not find out, I'm terrible.

Purple mine was uncooperative last time, and the sonographer damn near forced the scan thing through me and out the other side trying to get a measurement at my 12 week scan, so this little mite has form and will probably cause all sorts of trouble. We shall see! Is that tomorrow you have your scan?

LaLaLaaaa · 28/05/2015 07:34

Thanks for the thanks jelly but it was pud who reassured you Grin

I will also reassure you though - stretchy pains are normal.

Good luck Rhi! Hope it goes your way today and all is fine.

Looking I really hope you're ok this morning and the spotting has gone. Def call EPU they were so helpful to me at the start

We have four viroids due in the next 2 weeks. Who's going to be first? My money is now on tee...

Tee - is the bag in the car?

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 28/05/2015 07:37

I do love your post pud where you expected tee to be size of a house! Isn't she looking amazing?

All the viroids seem to pull off pregnancy chic very well. I've got to the point where nothing fits and I feel enormous

OP posts:
batfish · 28/05/2015 07:44

looking hope you are OK, keeping everything crossed it is nothing - there are lots of stories of people having bleeds ranging from light to pretty bad and everything is fine. Hope they give you some reassurance today, must be a horrible time.

jelly you're doing great - taking it a day at a time is the best way, it feels like a massive achievement to get through each day in those early weeks!

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 07:48

Oo sorry pud my fuzzy brain Missed that!!! Thanks though Grin and purple it was pretty scary!

I took my pregnacare without breakfast and now I'm on the train fighting back the urge to spew on the person opposite me. Oops

rhi I'm firmly in team find out. Everyone says it ruins the surprise but it's still a surprise just 20 weeks earlier!

PixieChops · 28/05/2015 07:52

Good luck everyone who are having scans today Smile
Looking I hope you're ok, let us know what's going on, we're all here for you x

IME genie pillows are quite comfy. If using a normal pillow you need to make sure that it's fits between your knees and goes to your ankles. Just having it between your knees with ankles still touching is counter productive (physio advice)
Also what La said is correct, there's a large blood vessel that runs behind baby so when you lie on your back you can feel dizzy, sick, light headed, some people can faint as the baby will be pressing on it. I've woken up a couple of times feeling a bit weird, realised I'm on my back and just turned over and nothing drastic has ever happened. If you like sleeping on your back though you can put a cushion under your back so you're elevated and that helps relieve the pressure of that blood vessel (another physio top tip- I'm full of them!)
woke up this morning screaming... Not ideal when you have a 1 year old that you could potentially wake up! Anyway I was in that much pain with cramp! Omg it was the worst pain in the world, both legs at the same time, I couldn't move and couldn't breathe! I just about managed to belt OH and tell him- not that he helped, the fucker. Just lay there! I wanted to tell him to help me and rub my legs but I couldn't get any words out Sad it did pass after a bit and I'm ok now but my legs are still really tender.
Luckily DD didn't wake up and I managed to go back to sleep for a bit. May have to invest in tonic water/ bananas today to stave off those pains again (another physio top tip)
DD has got her 12 month jabs today Confused I'm not looking forward to it in the slightest. I don't think she's going to be a happy bunny, plus she's teething as well so she's already in a shitty mood because of that. Sad

LaLaLaaaa · 28/05/2015 07:52

Jelly it's better to take preggerscare in eve with your main meal then you won't feel sick

OP posts:
Purpleball · 28/05/2015 08:06

Ouch Pixie that cramp sounds awful

La I never thought of taking vits later!

I sleep cuddling my dream genii, I love it. I might keep using it afterwards Smile

I stayed in a Premier Inn last night and I actually slept really well. No DH snoring and I positioned myself in the middle of the bed Grin. Was very confused when I woke up this morning though, couldn't work out how to get out of bed!

Rhi my next scan is Friday lunchtime. We've so far not found out but it's driving me mad.
My mum has knit some gorgeous baby clothes for us and I kind of want to tell her which colour. Daft reason I know and she just said someone will have a boy and they'll get the blue stuff if indeed we are team pink.

teejayem · 28/05/2015 08:34

Oooh! Go for scan goodness today rhi!

Thinking of you looking hope you get to see someone this morning xx

pud Blush thank you.... I feel house sized if that makes any difference! I think it's largely because a)you can't see the size of my arse in that picture and b) I ate nothing but ice lollies and the occasional slice of toast for the entire first trim. So the cream cake fest is kind of balancing itself out. I've honestly never eaten so much sugar in my life, I much prefer salty snackies. Mr Tee recklons I should start carb loading ready for labour.

Yep la bag is in the car, car seat with blanket installed in car, maternity sheet things also in car. Bugger all happening so far aside from the constant periody ache and really strong reflux, the likes of which I've not had since about 20 weeks, the next massive law of sod day is Saturday as we have the car booked in for service/MOT and it needs to be there from 7am and they won't give us a time it'll be done. I can envisage stuff happening and the car Being in 10,000 tiny pieces right when we need it. Grin.

Probably won't do too much waddle/walking today as feet are huge and SIJ is all crunchy and zingy after walking about yesterday but it's the Aldi baby event and I kind of want to gooooo. Might elevate for an hour and see if they come down, I've got my eye on the twenty quid travel cot we can use at DMs.

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 08:53

yeah i know i should have taken it later in the day, oh well i've just scoffed a bacon roll from sainsbury so all is well in the world

tee you must be excited :) although car going in for MOT, eek!

Pisghetti · 28/05/2015 08:57

I do love the FB page - no one looks like they're supposed to! I think La was the closest to how I'd imagined her.

Hope all is ok Looking x

I would recommend the Dream Genii - DP bought me one (he got fed up of the pillow fort I set up around myself) and it was wonderful. You can use it as a breastfeeding pillow too but I find I haven't the time for the faff of it. When the girl's ready to eat she doesn't like delays (just like her mam!).

The others have it Dulcet - I didn't have stitches but still felt like my fanjo had been through the wringer and wee can sting so the warm water helps.

Good luck Rhi! Hope you have a compliant placenta!

WilHarlot · 28/05/2015 09:12

Hope you're ok Looking and that today isn't too horroble for you Jelly.

Agree it was weird seeing fb and that La was the only one I had remotely imagined correctly. And that was only because of the lookalike conversation.

mountaingirl01 · 28/05/2015 09:16

Good luck today scan viroids! looking I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Whatever happens we are here if you need the support.

I wasn't sure about finding out the flavour but dh wanted to so we did, I'm so glad we did as well, it's helped us both bond with her. We even have a tentative name now. I spent yesterday afternoon in the assessment unit as she wasn't moving and I had terrible pains but all well thank God.

jelli I found pregnacare gave me arse rain and another friend said it made her sick- maybe try seven seas if taking it in the evening doesn't help?

batfish · 28/05/2015 09:23

We have next scan on Sat and hubby seems to want to find out the sex and I really don't! Any arguments for not finding out? I have already used the exciting surprise after hours of pain reason and we've already got to almost 22 weeks without finding out so seems a shame to cave now. He won't make me find out but I feel bad if he really wants to and I won't let him, I want him to not want to know. We always said we wouldn't find out but now he is getting curious.

Also I have a question - why is bump sometimes really hard and sometimes soft?? Dr Google told me Braxton Hicks but I don't think that's right as it can sometimes be hard for quite a long time.
