Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

Mmmmm mmmm baklava, so good Grin

FeatheredTail · 08/06/2015 11:13

Pud I am planning on drowning in honey and pastry. And telling DH that the ensuing weight gain is 'the baby'.

Fleurchamp · 08/06/2015 11:17

I also had a BF class this weekend la I have mixed feelings about it.

The lady running it was trying to convince us that it was really simple and the baby knows what to do etc.

This totally conflicts with friends and family's experience.

It was good though as it made us ladies in the group realise that we are pretty similar in our opinions to BF which is a good thing.

Cymraes17 · 08/06/2015 11:18

Morning.
Good luck bat with your exams.
I had a weird dream las night. I had given birth to this baby, but baby turned out to be a boy, and was of carribean-african decent, but dna proved that DH was the father. He was gorgeous, and we called him Arthur.
Still in my jammies.
How is everyone coping today?

jellypi3 · 08/06/2015 11:19

mountain I was only 25 in March and my first smear was booked in the week after I got my bfp :)

la that's got me in fits of laughter!

I'm suddenly extremely painfully bloated, like all of a sudden :( can I take peppermint oil supplements?

batfish · 08/06/2015 11:39

Ooh viroids I've had potentially good news from work re request for extra mat leave Grin Grin Grin

Basically they said if I reeeeally want 6 months instead of the 3 I am entitled to then they could probably accommodate - however not ideal as they want to expand the time which would not happen until I am back as they will recruit soon but then that person will cover me. So my boss has suggested that I think about coming back sooner than 6 months but on a part time basis at first and then full time at 6 months. I really appreciate them showing flexibility so I would like to meet them halfway so I was thinking I could maybe ask for 4 months off and then part time for 2 months before full time at 6 months. Might even be nice to ease back in part time instead of going from nothing to full time. What do you reckon???

Hobbit19 · 08/06/2015 11:43

Sounds promising Bat!

RhiannonElward · 08/06/2015 11:44

Ooh! Congratulations before, you clearly gestate like a champion, enjoy your little man. Smile

tee I hope things ramp up for you, you have heroic patience and all the false alarms would have had me going up the wall by now. Hang in there, it can't be much longer now.

dildocam isn't too bad. A bit weird at first but the scan is a perfectly good distraction.

Excuse any typos, my laptop has kicked the bucket so I'm having to use my daughter's tablet. I spent hours finding the app and couldn't log in. I'm too used to having all my passwords remembered.

My week has been one of my worst. My Nan died the night before we got to see her. I didn't get to tell her about the name or say goodbye and it feels like shit.

Then the car broke down, my laptop broke, both kids have had stomach bugs, my daughter has been ill over her birthday. I am hoping this is our bad luck for the year all at once. At least the birthday means there is copious amounts of cake here, I am making the most of it.

batfish · 08/06/2015 11:49

Aww rhiannon I'm so sorry to hear about your nan, really sad news especially when you feel like you didn't say goodbye. I am sure she knows how much you love her, maybe plan something special to remember her by like a nice meal where you all bring your favourite memory of her or go to her favourite place. I know it won't make up for you feeling so sad but might help a bit.

pretzelpieces · 08/06/2015 11:53

Aw rhi I'm so sorry Thanks

goodnessgraciousgouda · 08/06/2015 11:56

batfish that does sound like a great compromise, and good for you as well, since you get to ease back into it, and the tot gets used to whatever arrangements you will be making for him.

The one thing I would recommend being absolutely clear on with work though, is that you would be working on a PART TIME BASIS. That means, doing fewer hours, and therefore less work. It would be pretty fucking shit if their definition of "part time" meant "expectations of full time workload, but you only have to come in to the office two days a week".

Fleurchamp · 08/06/2015 11:58

Sorry for your loss rhi Flowers

Good news bat

I had a surprise dildo cam, in front of DH. Boundaries have been crossed.

LaLaLaaaa · 08/06/2015 12:04

Oh Rhi I'm so sorry Flowers

Gosh you're all chatty today Smile

Rhi I'm really sorry to hear about your Nan, what a shame you didn't get to see her Thanks

Hope the scans go well today Smile

I'm getting disrupted sleep too. Even with the dream genii I am waking up and turning over a lot. I'm sooo tired today and can't nap at lunchtime as I'm going to meet my friend.

I went out for a fab curry last night and didn't get any objections from babypurple - I didn't even need gavisconSmile

Before hope you're having lots of baby snuggles Smile

jellypi3 · 08/06/2015 12:20

Sorry to hear about your nan rhi :(

batfish · 08/06/2015 12:21

Good point gouda - would hope that if someone was covering me when I am off and that person is staying on then it would be OK but definitely something to make clear when discussing terms.

A friend (with a baby) has just said to me that she thinks I will find 4 months too soon. But I really think I would like to have a mutual compromise with work seeing as they could have just said no - and me saying I insist on 6 months is a compromise for them but not for me. If I feel I have a future here, which I do, then I would like to show some flexibility myself even if it means not getting what I would really like.

Fleurchamp · 08/06/2015 12:23

Good point gouda this is the fight I am going to have to have with my firm.
They say I can come back PT but have not bothered to cover my work (which is stressing me out massively) and the person I found who would like to reduce hours to PT and do a job share when I return, they vetoed.

I can see me not going back.

teejayem · 08/06/2015 12:27

just doing new fred!!

teejayem · 08/06/2015 12:33

DulcetMoans · 08/06/2015 12:37

I can't catch up properly just yet but want to moan -my maternity cover started this morning. I get 8 days training him. I already don't like it. I don't want someone to do my job! It's my job! sulk

batfish · 08/06/2015 12:38

dulcet that would freak me out too, I am such a control freak with my work, I can't bear to let anyone else touch my spreadsheets! I had a colleague for a few months who was crap (he got fired) and I just couldn't cope at all when he messed stuff up, I wanted to kill him!

Niffertiti · 08/06/2015 12:50

Sorry about your nan rhi, it sounds like a shitty week Thanks

Cymraes17 · 08/06/2015 14:15
