Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

I'm still here too. Funny day yesterday, mostly spent responding to "have you had the baby yet?" messages (9 altogether). I ended up being a bit sarcastic with the last couple ("had it on Tuesday and forgot to mention it, sorry"), now I feel bad.

I've not been in this position before and absolutely wasn't expecting to be, so it's hard sometimes to keep steady, be patient and not let it get me down. And I'm getting a bit fed up of touch-based "natural induction" solutions, to the extent that I am pissed off with the cat for nuzzling me to feed him this morning.

Today is another Groundhog day.

Belated congratulations to Mr La, I hope he's recovered from his hangover. And I hope Mr Bat finds an amazing new job stupid ex-employers, in their faces.

Exercise - I miss it. But with my mobility, even swimming has been beyond me. I take solace in the fact that up to now, I have found losing weight straightforward (not easy, just that it's feast or famine with me). I know I can lose some at the gym if I go twice a week, then I do and don't go back for months. It's demoralising being significantly heavier than DH tho. And I'll never take walking across a room for granted again.

Thank God its the weekend. Have a good one folks. :)

DulcetMoans · 06/06/2015 05:49

Oh dear before, I expect there will be a few more texts like that before the day has ended. Have you been offered induction after a certain point?

What are they doing ga? I mainly keep the July one to humour myself! Don't really get involved much otherwise.

An evening like that sounds perfect for napping pretzel! Maybe that can be your plan tonight pixie? After colouring in the karma sutra colouring book!

Fattycow · 06/06/2015 06:08

before, my friend had the best solution to texts and calls like that. She would say: 'no, but if you bring me ice cream/cookies/soda/chips (or whatever else you're craving), I'm sure that will bring labour on' or 'no, but if you do my dishes/laundry/ironing/grocery shopping (or whatever chore you need doing) for me, I'm sure that will bring labour on'.
As a result she got less of those texts and some people even did as she requested and brought her ice cream. Not a bad deal in weather like this!

teejayem · 06/06/2015 06:18

I've had mr tee fielding the 'have you had a baby yet' messages as I'm not trusted to reply without being offensive. Yesterday was our original due date so his whole family were on one, mil posted a hurry up thing on Facebook which pissed me off no end. She should know better, she's a frigging midwife!! Also had work call me twice and leave 'hilarious' voicemails Hmm such a swizz because I felt very positive after MW yesterday and now I've been awake for two hours and feeling decidedly less positive and more huffy. My goo is not very brown anymore which makes me think it's all just growing back like a cork to keep him in. And I've got a headache which I imagine is from the delicious glass of wine I had last night. Confused finding it very hard to focus on anything apart from the wait, which is daft because a watched pot never boils and all that. I've got two of those colouring books! They are epic :)
I'm so with you before. On the mobility thing, I don't think I will ever be so grateful to be able to roll over in bed, or get out of bed ever again! I am just keeping everything crossed that both our shitty symptoms disappear fast after delivery.

I'm going in search of some kind of cake based treat to shake myself out of the gloom!

batfish · 06/06/2015 07:45

Haha gaggia I'm off over to the Oct group to see what you're on about Smile (hopes it's nothing I've said Shock )

Fingers crossed for some babies soon, this waiting at the end sounds like torture for you all!

pretzelpieces · 06/06/2015 08:13

pixie and tee I've got a couple of the adult colouring books too! I did a bit of that as well last night. I've got a mindfulness one and another one I can't remember, and I also had a beautiful animal/wildlife one which I've given DM along with some colouring pencils as she wanted to have a go. She talked about ordering off amazon! Not when I've got colouring supplies coming out of my ears Grin

dulcet I am rubbish at napping, but it's something I've been practicing and hoping to get better at while I'm pregnant Wink

pretzelpieces · 06/06/2015 08:14

tee and before how annoying of people to keep messaging. I know it's just because they care but agh that can't be helping. Brew Thanks

gaggiagirl · 06/06/2015 08:16

pix dulcet.....they were on about placenta eating haaaaaaa I laughed in the face of it! Its just as bad as the inspirational memes and other VOM stuff.

DulcetMoans · 06/06/2015 08:27

Did you post the story about it being proven to have no health benefits ga? That was only this week. Now, if it was just a cake that looked like a placenta... That's different!

You might not have any choice but to get better at it pretzel! I am sometimes watching telly only it turns out I'm sleeping instead!

I always wondered why the royals, and one of my friends actually, didn't say the due date - just 'early June' etc. now I get it!

PixieChops · 06/06/2015 08:30

Omg! ?? gross! I looked into getting my placenta turned into vitamins but after a few minutes and reading about how I'd need to keep it in the fridge etc I decided it wasn't for me. I'm all for Mother Earth types, I was one myself until I went into labour and suddenly I wanted every drug known to man Grin

pretzelpieces · 06/06/2015 08:45

dulcet that sounds brilliant, I've always been jealous of people who can fall asleep during films/lectures/train rides! Okay, train rides might not be so good. Hmm

gaggiagirl · 06/06/2015 09:04

dulcet someone else already had. Most were against it but I feel bad for saying I was totally going to eat it then saying haaaaaaaa of course I'm not. I just can't be serious.
I always want to post on the inspirational memes....VOM!!!! And on other things I want to post 'get a fucking grip'. Bad gaggia.

PixieChops · 06/06/2015 09:08

Haha Ga! Should've gone on and said how you were going to cook it... Medium rare in a peppercorn sauce

Toast85 · 06/06/2015 09:56

Ha ga I will be reading your fb comments in a new light!

I'm staying at friends this weekend, lovely catching up with them yesterday evening but my goodness the sofa bed is uncomfortable. And only one pillow- what is a preggo girl to do? Hips are aching like a bitch this morning.
Don't want to go all preggo princess and the pea though and start demanding to know sleeping arrangements before I stay anywhere different. I shall just have to stop seeing people.

batfish · 06/06/2015 10:00

Maybe take a couple of pillows with you toast just in case!

I think I'm going mad today, had a little cry earlier because hubby went to the shop for me for Rennies and brought me some chocolate croissants and Frazzles (not for consumption together) and then it made me think I love him so much and want him to always be happy and am so mad with his work for being mean to him and then cried a bit more because I'm worried about loving my baby so much that I'll be terrified my whole life of something bad happening to them! Oh dear! Hubby is a grown man so not sure why I feel so emotional on his behalf!

teejayem · 06/06/2015 11:03

I joined a slightly lentil weavy mummy group on FB a while ago and there was uproar at the placenta munching thing yesterday. Aside from our group, I've found that and the local mums meet up ones a bit cringe, probably because I'm a bit of a wanker, but it seems to be the done thing to post pictures of babies with rashes and then ask for peer diagnosis, or 'Tarquinius won't eat his cucumber anymore, I'm distraught'. Nobody talks about foofs or poo, it's like they gloss over all the slightly more icky stuff which surely is what you want to hear about?

bat bless you! The sneak up crying... I cried when Mr tee made me packed lunch for work and I didn't take it becaus per it wouldn't fit in my bag and I cried all the way to the central line because I felt like terrible ungrateful person. He told me I was a twat and ate my sandwiches. At the time it was world ending though.

We said 'early June' after the dates got moved, but some rellies mil have made a big thing of it being yesterday. Won't be doing that again. It's not an exact science, I can't get hung up on it.

Going to to potter around all green fingered and deadhead my petunias. Yeah, I'm rock and roll....

Hobbit19 · 06/06/2015 11:11

Hee hee oh Bat and Tee I am giggling at you crying in a ridiculous pregnancy fashion (this is so going to come back and bite me on the ass!!!!)

Didn't get to bed until 10pm last night!! What a shocker! Now I can't get out of bed. DH is working hard in the garden and I feel bad for not helping not bad enough to get up though

In other news, I think I have a teeny tiny bump appearing! I am only counting what I can see in the morning as by the afternoon I look about 6 months pregnant but that was the case before I was upduffed! Grin

pretzelpieces · 06/06/2015 11:14

pud that's so exciting! I've already got a bump that is made entirely of gas and cheese toasties. Wink

I have already cried at a goose and some goslings I saw waddling along, what a drip.

Today I'm going to a baby shower and my poker face is terrible. Wish me luck Grin

batfish · 06/06/2015 11:44

Haha tee glad it's not just me! I feel like every time he does something nice for me or even just the fact that he exists makes me feel like I can't cope with the thought that he might not be totally happy 100% of the time and I can't understand why the rest of the world doesn't also treat him like he is the most wonderful human that ever walked the earth - completely bonkers! I would definitely cry too if he made me sandwiches that I forgot to eat Grin Fast forward a couple of weeks and I will probably want to murder him for no apparent reason but for now I feel like I want to watch over him and protect him at all times - I'm definitely a crazy person.

pud your crying time will come (evil laugh) Grin Exciting about the bump!! Post a pic on fb!

pretzel I share your enthusiasm for cheese toasties, I'm eating one right now with piccalilli - hubby also bought me piccalilli and cheese yesterday and bought me the toastie maker a few weeks ago (cue crying)

splodge77 · 06/06/2015 12:25

Hi all, just popped by to see if anyone else has done a baby yet, only to find you discussing the annoying thing of people constantly asking 'have you had the baby' heh heh. Good luck tee & before!!.
Can't believe Jem is 4 weeks old all of a sudden & huuuge. Already packing away all newborn clothes & even some 0-3 month stuff looking a bit tight on him. Monster baby!! Lotsa love to y'all xx

gaggiagirl · 06/06/2015 12:26

We've just driven past Appleby horse fair poor beasts.
tee I'm like you (a bit of a wanker) I can just feel the October bus women clutching their pearls. I mentioned giving David hasselhoff a blow job on there the other day and it really killed the conversation Grin

DulcetMoans · 06/06/2015 12:46

I didn't dare post fanny cakes to the July group...

Good luck keeping quiet today then pretzel! I accidentally told a lady at work by asking if she ate peanuts when pregnant. She said yes and I said 'me too' not even thinking. Easy to drop yourself in it when it dominates your thoughts!

WilHarlot · 06/06/2015 13:00

Grin Grin Grin Gaggia. Feel free to talk about blowing Hasselhoff at any opportunity here. Although quite why you'd want to is another matter entirely. I think we benefitted from chatting on here anonymously for so long. You are probably braver about saying things when people don't really know who you are. That and the fact we are clearly all reprobates who were attracted by the dodgy thread titles. Dulcet go on and post the cakes and screenshot the reaction Wink .

Hoping some babies arrive soon for the fed up viroids.

teejayem · 06/06/2015 13:39

Blowing Hasselhoff. Pahahaha!

My FB faux pas was twofold getting into a bit of a disagreement about raspberry leaf tea and homeopathy, and then answering a 'how can I get pregnant quickly' question (I'll leave you to imagine... ) I didn't join any of the bus groups, although I used to peruse the boards on here now and again; in the early days there were girls falling off it left right and centre and giving each other super food paranoia and it wasn't what I needed to hear.
Massive sugar cravings at the moment. Tiny bit of crampy back which woke me up. Baby is elbowing the absolute shit out of me, but doesn't seem to be on the way out Hmm
Hi splodge! Can't believe how quickly the time has gone!!! Hope you're good xx

goodnessgraciousgouda · 06/06/2015 13:56

Question: I've seen a few references now to people refusing peanuts when pregnant, due to the fact that they're pregnant. I had never heard of this before getting upduffed. I have eaten peanuts. I have read the nhs site which says it's safe to eat peanuts.

So what the fuck?
