Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

gouda I think it is old advice - I think years ago they used to advise no peanuts and no shellfish - hence my hubby thinking when I first got upduffed that I could eat neither and ended up with me furiously googling NHS website in a restaurant so he would let me order mussels! A lot of people still do order shellfish, I guess because it is more likely than other foods to cause food poisoning - but I have been eating it - and I don't think there are any issues with peanuts, must just be people having it in their heads from years ago.

batfish · 06/06/2015 14:21

That should have said a lot of people avoid shellfish - not order!

mountaingirl01 · 06/06/2015 15:08

As bat said, the peanut thing is old advice as it was thought it could cause allergies. NHS doesn't warn against them anymore unless there is significant history of allergies (ie in my case dh is severely allergic so tbf we don't have them in the house anyway!)

batfish · 06/06/2015 16:41

How much newborn stuff will we need? Don't know whether to buy nice stuff in 0-3 months so it will last longer and just get a few plain newborn bits - or will they be in newborn for a few weeks? Depends on birth size though I know! But I have no clue how quickly they grow

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 06/06/2015 17:13

Different brands size newborn differently bat, plus length is as important as weight, I'd say. DS was a pretty average size but too long at birth for the gorgeous next sleep suits mum bought him, I had to cut off the feet (of the sleep suits!)

So I would def only get a few bits in newborn, you need more there's always next day delivery. I found the "up to 1 month" M&S size much more useful too.

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 06/06/2015 17:20

I've just been out in public!!! Go me!

OK, so it was only to a kiddies birthday party, but still. DH hung around while I went for a walk to the place where my waters went with DS and recreated a bit of that day. It was excellent - nothing spectacular happened but it really gave me back some faith.

Bit upset that one of my NCT girls has now had two sweeps and been confirmed as 2cm dilated. Great for her of course, but I wasn't offered one and next appt is on Tuesday when I'll be 40+6. Midwife said she wasn't expecting to see me tho - wonder if that was based on anything I told her.

She's a bit new age too. Am trying a few things she suggested, but then, if she told me to stand on one leg and say zebra 478 times, I might try that too!

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 06/06/2015 17:24

Here's an "inspirational" pic of the dragon I was sitting next to when my waters went with DS. Tee, Cym you can thank me later Grin

teejayem · 06/06/2015 18:19

Awesome dragon before! it is really hard comparing yourself against other people esp if they are on similar dates. My friend who had her section with the same due date as me has put up about a million Facebook pictures of her baby today. I'm really pleased for her, but I can't help feeling a bit cheated. Also starting to worry that if I see another different consultant on Wednesday I won't get an induction date as there's not really anything on my notes to indicate we had the discussion. So the deadline I've had in my head really won't mean anything. I feel like I'm so close, but so far!

We ventured to the garden centre to feed my hanging basket /pot obsession, but sadly nothing happened, so we topsoiled seeded and watered the front and back lawn to try and spruce it up a bit. Poor Mr tee is doing his best but I am just horrendous to live with at the moment!

Niffertiti · 06/06/2015 20:17

Before, tee, cym, I hope something starts moving soon!

Just been catching up - sorry for Mr bat's job but good riddance it sounds - gx he finds something better quickly. And congrats to Mr la!

Exciting bump news pud and jc Grin. I look enormous and I keep on asking dh if he thinks I look pregnant yet. He is an actual diplomat, in his actual career, but even he can't hide the fact he just thinks I look fat Blush

In other news I have evening sickness. I seem to be ok all day but just queasy in the evening. But so far I'm very lucky, no actual vomming. However I did buy some magnums the other week and I haven't been able to face one for my pudding yet. I shall clearly have to have one for breakfast tomorrow...

8+5 today. Beginning to think this might happen...

ZylaB · 06/06/2015 22:33

tee use your pot obsession - we bought 6 pots today, help me..I'm putting big grasses in the 2 massive ones, already got those. MrZ wants a Rosemary bush in one pot and I want pretty things/flowers in the other 3, what should I get from the garden centre when we go either to,orrow or next weekend??

teejayem · 06/06/2015 23:39

Ooh zyla! I'd go for something tall for the middle of the pot (I've got either geranium or dahlia) and then I've got million bells in opposite corners, and then fuschias in remaining corners (both a bit traily so better placed in corners) and then pansies and meserantheums or petunias in between. I've got about 12 plants in each pot. My garden centre bought plants have really thrived whereas my b&q ones are very slow off the mark. I got some begonias from there too and something is eating/rotting them which is a swizz, so I am def a garden centre advocate! I'll post some pix on the FB page tomorrow so you can kind of see what I mean with the way I've planted if it helps x

So excited I posted it three times just before the site went down for maintenance. Hmm

No baby here. No goo, no BH. We seem to have fizzled.

WilHarlot · 07/06/2015 07:45

Bat maybe see if you can get nice newborn stuff in the sale? That's what I did. BabyWil was in them for at least 6 weeks and probably would have been a bit longer if she hadn't been all strapped up. But then I'm short. I got stuff in the Christmas sales from John Lewis. You don't need tonnes though and some brands like Jasper Conran at Debenhams, Tesco, Matalan and the more expensive shops often size a bit smaller so the 0-3 months will fit a bit quicker than say Next or ASDA.

PixieChops · 07/06/2015 08:20

Lol Tee! What was going on with the site?! It was down for hours! I know because I wanted to come on here and bitch about DP as he went out last night, didn't bother texting or letting me know he was ok (everything shuts at 2 so was expecting him home around 2:30ish) he wanders in at 5:30! No idea where he's been or what he's been doing. I'm 38 weeks pregnant, but that doesn't seem to Matter when he's had a drink. I'm absolutely fuming. I've had no sleep and I'm feeling very pissed off. More reasons to be pissed off is that I feel very much like a single mum at the moment. As we are aware DP plays cricket on a Thursday night (training 5:30 and doesn't come home till 10pm) and plays all day Saturday (out from 11am-10:30pm) so I'm pretty much looking after our 1 year old 6 days a week. Between 4- midnight on the other days his phone doesn't stop going off- he's captain so everyone is texting him or ringing him all the time. He barely plays with his DD anymore and everything just gets left to me. It's seriously pissing me off now and I feel like a single mum anyway so maybe I should just be one. He's doing my fucking head in!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/06/2015 09:10

Have t had time to post for ages! Will do massive catch up tonight but my days have consisted of:

Mammy La visiting
Take That concert
DH winning competition that means we can go on holiday
Breastfeeding class
An Alice in Wonderland party
Baby shopping

Will update later and read all your news.

Pixie - he's being a nob have a word and tell him it's not on! You're too close to due date for him to be out all night. It's not fair

Tee - babies go quiet just before labour. Here's hoping...

Bat - you'll get bought loads of 0-3 stuff I'd concentrate on 3+ and perhaps wait to see what you get given nearer the time?

Off to Guildford shopping with Ma. Number 1 on list is a bloody maternity dress! Nothing fits, miniLa has expanded rapidly

Thanks tee!! Sounds ace, off to fb to have a look Grin

ZylaB · 07/06/2015 09:18

pixie sit him down and explain what he's doing and how it makes him feel. I've found men often don't realise what they're doing or don't think there's anything wrong with it unless they've been told! stupid men

WilHarlot · 07/06/2015 09:18

Hurrah for Mr La! That's fab news. Where will you go on holiday?

Pixie that is so not on. Tell him in no uncertain terms that he is being a dick. In fact tell him very loudly this morning, after hoovering, blending and drying your hair.

ZylaB · 07/06/2015 09:19

how it makes you* feel, sorry

WilHarlot · 07/06/2015 09:19

Aw see zyla took the nice mature route there Grin

Hobbit19 · 07/06/2015 09:28

Pixie, tell him to sort it out or he will be receiving a jiffy poo in the post.

Viroids, I really want to get up and shower, but not sure that I can stand up for the ten minutes that it would take to wash my hair. Sad I am now 12 weeks so waiting desperately for this stupid exhaustion to bugger off!!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/06/2015 09:29

Ha! Yes me and wil are a bit more forceful - perhaps go with zylas suggestion!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 07/06/2015 09:58

Maybe start with zyla suggestion and then move onto the la/wil approach!

Where and when for hols la?? Guessing with mini-la now due to timing?

You might just have to get it done pud, leave time to lay down again afterwards. If your lucky you might get some awesome pregnant hair! Mine can be unwashed for days now without getting greasy, I love it. My skin is dry as shit though. Hmm

We have loads of 0-3 stuff bat as it was handed down. Kind of says to me people will but you loads of that anyway. If I but for people I get that or 3-6 so can see why. But they will get through a few outfits a day with accidents, just might not last long in them.

Site was down for planned maintenance, I did see when I was on the PC but you don't get those updates on the app.
