Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 29th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 47th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: stats

Don't you need the maternity exemption card wil? I haven't been but that's my assumption.

WilHarlot · 05/06/2015 13:14

That's probably what 'certificate' I mean. I took it with me but they never asked to see it. Just asked me when she was due.

teejayem · 05/06/2015 13:41

My exemption card took ages to come through rm, but the pharmacy were fine giving me free prescriptions without it.... I also need the dentist after tooth-cracking the other week but the waiting list for NHS (free) treatment at my dentist is 3 weeks, or I'll have to pay, and I'm bloody not out of principle. Plus I can't really commit to dates at the moment! They might do something for wis teeth tho, if there's a chance of impaction,? Hopefully you'll get some pain relief if nothing else...

I saw the lovely midwife :) no sweep though, not if you're consultant led and as I'm seeing her in a few days... she said that it looked and sounded like I was doing okay noodling along in latent labour (huff) and she'd be surprised if I make it to Wednesday, given that tiny tee is bashing on my cervix, which is why I've got the goo, and the pains, and backache, and the insomnia, etc etc...at least she recognised that something's happening!!!
She said to stay upright and bounce on ball, but not totally fuck myself walking about. And then said 'So I'll see you in a few days at home with your baby then!' and then I got in the car and cried. Hello reality!! You'd really think at full term I'd have my head wrapped around actually having a tiny human at the end of this. Clearly not!

bat that's shit for mr B, although as the others have said, maybe not the end of the world if it was making him miserable? At least he can job hunt with a fresh head, and not just be wanting to go for anything to escape shitty job. Oh, and if I'd attempted squats after 28 weeks, I think my entire pelvis would have fallen on the floor. Lol!

Seriously humid out there. Was going to have a couple of hours in the garden but next door have got tree surgeons in and they are deforesting their whole back yard with chainsaws and then running through an industrial woodchipper. The noise is immense. On the upside the actual tree surgeons are extremely attractive tattooed dreadlocked hippies, so I might just sit and perv with headphones on....

goodnessgraciousgouda · 05/06/2015 13:42

00054 - You calculate it from whatever your weight was before you got pregnant. The doctors are mostly interested in what your weight was just before pregnancy, so they can track how much you are gaining during the pregnancy itself.

On dentistry, I thought if you were registered at an NHS dentist, treatment was pretty much free of charge anyway? You lucky things - I'm getting quite a bit of blood from my gums when I brush my teeth (or throw up), but dentistry is fucking expensive over here.

Update from the health care people - nothing's happened. There's only 5 weeks until the deadline for registering the pregnancy with the mayor, and there's a shit ton of stuff to do before then....which I can't do without the health card.

There's also the real risk that by the time it arrives, there will be no more spaces in the public maternity ward near us.

Good times.

Fleurchamp · 05/06/2015 13:57

I think you need the card although I haven't needed it to get prescriptions as the bump gives it away!

Fattycow · 05/06/2015 14:57

tee, go and offer them a nice cold drink! Means the noise will stop for a bit and you get a closer look of them!

jellypi3 · 05/06/2015 15:26

feathered i didn't take it no :) luckily avoided it.

I had such a horrible train ride this morning, i've never felt so sick in my life, i skipped breakfast so can only assume that's why it was!

have we got any babies yet? it's so warm today! i'm 6 weeks tomorrow, time is going so slowly! how did you ladies wait it out this long!!

pretzelpieces · 05/06/2015 15:27

Update: managed not to puke even though the training room was disgustingly hot. Had to keep going out and splashing my face and neck with cold water.

tee your lumberjacks sound fiiiine Wink

Jcandy · 05/06/2015 16:35

Congratulations MrLa! Has he made it back in one piece yet?

Sorry to MrBat but it does sound like it may have been the best thing. Hope he finds something he enjoys soon!

Wow it's been warm today. I normally like the heat but it seems in pregnancy I have a perfect temperature and this is just a little too warm for it!

Made it through another day at work. Did leave a couple of hours early so I could nap (had to nap on the floor of the office yesterday which wasn't great). Had a meeting with my manager who is still happy for my hours to be flexible as long as I make up any time missed or take annual leave. I'll just see how my shift on the ward goes tomorrow.

Come on babies! Before, Cym, and Tee I really feel for you in this weather!

jellypi3 · 05/06/2015 16:54

Can I take a laxative for constipation?

goodnessgraciousgouda · 05/06/2015 17:05

Jelly - from the NHS site. Basically, you can, but you will need to try other things first. Have you tried the dreaded prune juice?

If you buy a laxative from the chemist you might want to make sure they find you one that is safe to take during pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, there are ways for you to safely treat constipation without harming you or your baby. Your GP will first advise you to change your diet by increasing fibre and fluid intake. You will also be advised to do gentle exercise.
If dietary and lifestyle changes do not work, you may be prescribed a laxative to help you pass stools more regularly.
Lots of laxatives are safe for pregnant women to use because most are not absorbed by the digestive system. This means that your baby will not feel the effects of the laxative.
Laxatives that are safe to use during pregnancy include the osmotic laxatives lactulose and macrogols. If these do not work, your GP may advise a small dose of bisacodyl or senna (stimulant laxatives).
However, senna may not be suitable if you are in your third trimester of pregnancy because this medicine is partially absorbed by your digestive system.

goodnessgraciousgouda · 05/06/2015 17:06

PS, I feel for everyone suffering in the heat. There's a fucking heat wave here today. It's over 30 degrees!!!!

DulcetMoans · 05/06/2015 17:14

I wish dentist was free gouda! It's about £17 to walk in the door now and cost me a fair whack to sort my impacted wisdom tooth because it required a few appointments and costs every visit. The system there sounds messy though - why does the mayor need to know?!

Feel bad for you first trimesters in the heat. It's not great for any pregnant lady but so much worse if you feel sick - just might push you over the edge to the toilet bowl.

Does that mean no sweep at all tee? Because of the consultant led thing? That's a bugger! Sounds like you won't need it though. Exciting!! I understand the tears though, the nearer it gets the more concerned I get.

I had midwife today as well. She was very chatty today, I liked her much better. I need to take my iron tablets, she thinks that could be the breathlessness so maybe the spatone isn't doing enough (la - worth checking for yours?). Baby is popping in and out of pelvis and bum in ribs - which I assumed anyway! Seems to be side on apparently so... back to side? Don't know if that's a thing!

jellypi3 · 05/06/2015 17:24

Thanks gouda I'll talk to a pharmacist. I'm drinking about 1.5-2 litres of water a day and eating a tonne of fruit and veg but It's not helping much. not tried prune juice yet

Fleurchamp · 05/06/2015 17:56

dulcet agree with the iron tablets. I used to get very breathless, especially in the evening, and once I started iron tablets I am nowhere near as bad.

God I am glad this week is over. Two more to go!

teejayem · 05/06/2015 18:04

Try lactulose jelly - it's safe to use in pregnancy and def does the job. You can get it over the counter, it's like a syrup and it basically redirects all the water in your tummy to whatever is sitting in your bowel to make you go. That coupled with your water intake should get you moving quite fast, I've used it on and off all pregnancy. That and not quite ripe strawberries have helped. Just don't take it before bed, or if you have immediate plans!
Yeah no sweeps until the hospital next week dulce but I'd rather just get him moving myself, he's so close by the sounds of things!
Just woke up from a two hour nap Blush I must have been snoring too as my nose hurts. Oops. I was up at 4am dicking about taking picture of clouds tho, so don't feel too bad about it. What's everyone got on this weekend? before? Any neeeeeews? How are you cym?

jellypi3 · 05/06/2015 18:08

Thanks tee the pharmacy wouldn't give me anything but I think I've got some lactulose kicking around somewhere :)

Cymraes17 · 05/06/2015 18:26

Still here Tee! Just back from DD1 s swimming lessons. DD2 has gone to bed, think she's comming down with a cold. DS is being a little flower, and wanting to sit next to me. Got my feet up on the ball, to get the swelling down.
I think baby has poped back in to engagement today, but wont hold my breath that she will actually stay there or come out.
Tee I hope you got a good look!!
Before, anything happening?
The weather has been rather nice this afternoon, but no good for my swollen body. Is this going to last long? If it is i'll be hiding indoors.

gaggiagirl · 05/06/2015 20:33

Weather has been the usual shite here today. Cold, overcast and windy.

DulcetMoans · 05/06/2015 21:20

Good to know fleur. Will start tomorrow, before my NCT class which is not the same class as you I promise, even though you have yours as well tomorrow! Wink

Was there good photos to be had at 4am tee? How else can we help you get this baby started...?

We are meant to be getting BBQ weather this week gaggia, hope you get some at least!

Lookingforadvice123 · 05/06/2015 22:00

bat so sorry about mr bat's job! I really hope he finds something again soon, but it sounds like a positive thing in the long run, being unhappy in the workplace is utter shit.

gouda thanks I must work out my TDR, as I would like to eat the correct amount of calories as soon as I'm well enough! Feeling utter shitty sicky right now though. On the plus side I weighed myself this morning and I was less than a couple of days ago, so have put on 4lbs rather than 6! Spin is high intensity if you really go for it but I've been doing about 60-70% since becoming pregnant which is what fans instructor recommended. I've been doing it regularly for years and am very fit cardio wise, did a half marathon end of last year too. Luckily the air con is fab so I never get too hot! But I don't think I'll be able to do it at least until I start to feel better, dreading the 9:30am class I've signed up for tomorrow!

Dentist wise, I actually asked my midwife this at my booking in appt the other week, if you have a Mat1b form take that, otherwise she said just take all your pregnancy forms etc as proof, that's what I'm doing as I have an appt in the next few weeks so won't have my mat1b form then.

gaggiagirl · 05/06/2015 22:22

Seriously I should remove myself from the October facebook group. I just cant take half that shit seriously. I either want to laugh at them or vom on them sometimes. I like the scan and bump pics though.

pretzelpieces · 05/06/2015 22:23

I'm stuffing my face with pretzel pieces and feeling very 'on brand' this evening Wink DP is out and I thought I'd have a nice quiet evening to myself but I am bored and I can feel the time crawling even though I'm embroidering, watching tv etc. eats feelings

PixieChops · 06/06/2015 05:15

Lol Ga how come? Are they just a bit full on?
I haven't really done any exercise since I was 16. Never felt the need to as I had a high metabolism and didn't need to lose weight. I am incredibly unfit though and think that I definitely need to do something once this babies here. I do walk a lot though but that's as much exercise as I get Blush
I think it was more the fact that I was so obsessed with trying to put weight on after being bullied at school for being thin (called snappy, twiggy, people asking me if I was bulimic and would I be throwing up my lunch etc) that I just assumed that any exercise Id do would keep the weight off. I had issues at home so think it was more anxiety that kept the weight off when I was a kid- lived in a rough area where the neighbours didn't take to my mum very well and used to beat her up when I was at school. Think I was about 7.5 stone pissed wet through at 16! Anyway I'm usually around the 9 stone mark now after having my first baby. Kind of hoping to keep a bit of weight from this baby too! If I can be around 9.5 stone I'd be happy, I'm 5ft 6 so think that would be a nice weight to be.
Can't believe I'm bloody up at this time, DD isn't even here as she's at my parents for the weekend and yet I can't sleep! Angry

PixieChops · 06/06/2015 05:19

Ahh pretzel that'll be me this evening. My OH is going out (3rd night out this year) and I'll be completely on my own with no DD either so god knows what I'm going to do with myself! He keeps saying I should go to the cricket club for a bit tonight until he goes off into town but I just don't know if I can be arsed. Think I'd rather sit and colour. Got myself one of this adult colouring books yesterday Grin such a geek! Lol
