Roll up roll up, come and join me clutching your BFP and wondering exactly what you've let yourself in for x

raff iron can make nausea worse and I think it might've been that that had me camped out on the bathroom floor this morning - can also make you constipated. I am hoping I can get enough in my diet without taking a supplement (although the reason I'm on a multivitamin at all rather than just folic acid and d3 is because nausea is making it hard for me to eat a balance of things).

pretzelpieces · 02/06/2015 22:49

Oh no drunken I'm so sorry. Do keep us posted Thanks

pretzelpieces · 02/06/2015 22:50

Oh and raff of course it's fine to be nosey! That's why we're all here right! Grin I don't mind you asking at all

Hopitpopit · 02/06/2015 23:23

Drunken I hope you are ok (as you can be) and there is someone there to support you Flowers if not here's a virtual hand to hold.

Hopitpopit · 02/06/2015 23:28

This thread is moving so quickly which is a good thing because real time seems to have just stopped. chin I hope your repeat test shows the levels you are looking for. I have booked an early scan for next Friday, but that seems such a long time away. I am away from DS mid week as work away from home and right now miss him terribly, my hormones are all over the place, I cried at adverts earlier and all I want to do is hug him but I can't. That's prego hormones for you Sad

pretzelpieces · 02/06/2015 23:30

I'm a bit worried as although I put it down before pg, there is still ant powder down in my kitchen and I have been going in there every day. I Googled it (always a dangerous activity) and it says pesticides are linked with birth defects so now I'm worrying.

pretzelpieces · 02/06/2015 23:30

Should I get DP to hoover it up when I'm not around and just hope the ants don't come back?

Cheesypop · 02/06/2015 23:55

Oh no, donut how awful Flowers take care of yourself tonight.

pretzel yes get your DP to hoover it up. We have an ant catcher thing, it's like a metal box but disc-shaped. It has the stuff inside it so humans and animals can't access the harmful powder but the ants can. We got it because we have cats.

Hopitpopit · 02/06/2015 23:58

Pretzel now you have thought about it and it's niggling away at you, it might be the best thing to get DP to Hoover it. Otherwise it will drive you mad. But also a tiny exposure so early must be fine, those reports are normally based on massive exposures.

pretzelpieces · 03/06/2015 00:10

Ok, thanks folks. I'll get him to hoover it when I'm not around and to clean the areas hopefully. We've got a bait station out so hopefully if they come back that will still be effective. Confused

Raffertys · 03/06/2015 06:24

So sorry donut Flowers Please take care of yourself x

Pretzel don't worry love, just get DP to get the hoover out good excuse to get him to do the rest of the house too Grin Bloody ants. That's interesting about the iron. It has the same effect on me so I take it in the evening with dinner and then spend the evening feeling sick. Envy

Mawsymoo · 03/06/2015 06:40

Donut hope you're okay.

I'm feeling disconcertingly well this morning, I would have expected my nausea to kick in by now based on previous experience. I wish time wouldn't move so bloody slowly!

RattyCatty · 03/06/2015 06:55

How is everyone this morning?

Thinking of you donut, keep us posted Flowers

I think I am turning into a manic googler. When we were ttc I seemed to constantly Google 'infertility' now I'm constantly googling 'miscarriage' Am I going crazy or are you guys the same? Confused

Valiant1 · 03/06/2015 06:57

Good mornin ladies BFP yesterday very big shock this will be number 5 plus a step daughter so number 6 look forward to spending time with u all xx and congratulations ??

Valiant1 · 03/06/2015 06:58

?? shouldn't be question marks Hmm

pretzelpieces · 03/06/2015 07:22

raff Oh dear! I switched yesterday to one which is lower iron (5mg per day) and which you take as two-a-day so dose is spread out. That combined with actually sleeping for 6 hours in a row last night (hallelujah!) has made a big difference this morning I think. Still feeling sick but not so bad.

mawsy amen to that. Is time actually going backwards these days?! Hmm Feels like it.

ratty i have done a bit of that too but mostly 'X product/food/medication in pregnancy' googles. Step away from doctor Google!

Welcome and congratulations valiant! How exciting to add to your nice big family.

pretzelpieces · 03/06/2015 07:23

Meant to add that the multivitamin I'm on now tastes and smells grim though. I do burps after that taste of it and that's not good when I'm feeling so nauseous all the time anyway! That's why I'm after recommendations of other low iron/no iron. Grin

rallytog1 · 03/06/2015 07:29

Welcome and congratulations Valiant.

ratty I'm exactly the same. I thought I'd be more chilled with dc2 but apparently not Angry There's a website called something like spacefem where they've worked out the likelihood of miscarriage day by day and I find that quite reassuring as it goes down quite rapidly over the first few weeks. Of course, lightning still has to strike somewhere and none of us can do anything to influence whether these babies choose to stick around. I wish it was just a bit easier to sit back and enjoy the early days.

nightandthelight · 03/06/2015 08:18

Welcome valiant :)

So sorry to hear that donut, take care if yourself Flowers

I have been looking at the spacefem mc chart and willing time on. Dropped below 30% for the first time today though!

pretzelpieces · 03/06/2015 08:22

rally, night this chart is useful, though it seems to be based on a (small) US sample? It is nice to see that every day the risk drops though, I expect that fact is true across data sets. I am finding it hard not to worry. Sad

Brummiegirl15 · 03/06/2015 08:22

Donut I'm so sorry xx Flowers

Welcome Valiant!

nightandthelight · 03/06/2015 08:26

Same pretzel, I can't wait for the 27th June and fx seeing a healthy bean in there! Until then going to the loo is going to be a hair raising experience each time. Also am having to do it far more than usual as I am now constantly thirsty :)

jellypi3 · 03/06/2015 08:29

Welcome new folk :) add yourself to the stats sheet a few pages back if you want :)

I just take pregnacare supplement but I've discovered if I take it in the morning, even with breakfast, I feel terribly sick after so I have been taking it with dinner and it's been fine (minus the constipation).

donut sorry to hear x

After DP's curry escapade last night I'm feeling now a bit tender today it ok. I'm refusing to look at mc stats on the Internet, I'm of the opinion that "what will be will be". Fact is if I do MC I will be devastated but know there's nothing I could have done to prevent it.

I am worrying about money though. We are getting married in May next year and have been saving for it but now we need to save for a baby too, it just seems like we are constantly saving and I'm worried we won't have enough. I want to push back the wedding but DP doesn't agree.

purdiepie · 03/06/2015 08:37

Jelly, I'd be very surprised if you had to splash out lots on a new baby. People are very generous and your closest relatives will probably offer to buy your pram or cot.

Donut, I'm so sorry Thanks

nightandthelight · 03/06/2015 08:41

I am planning to get almost everything second hand jelly with the new stuff just being the things that family offer to buy!
