Been playing music to the bump this morning. It has very definite tastes! Throwing itself around to particlular genres.. it was like watching something out of Alien! Justin Timberlake and Brand New Heavies were definitely top choices Grin

FernGullysWoollyPully · 10/07/2015 16:38

Had my scan this afternoon. Heres my wee girl. Lovely and healthy. Loads of hair Grin and currently estimated at 2lb 13oz!!

Feel pleased as punch.

BeautifulBatman · 10/07/2015 16:48

Ah Fern look at her lips!!! Gorgeous. 2lb 13oz??? That's huge! How many weeks are you?

FernGullysWoollyPully · 10/07/2015 16:49

I know. They're my lips Grin bit proud of my pout!!

Yes, 2lb 13oz, I nearly fell off the bed, I'm 28 weeks today!

gaggiagirl · 10/07/2015 21:43

fern was it a baby bond scan? Do they estimate the weight in the scan package?

OP posts:
FernGullysWoollyPully · 11/07/2015 07:23

No, it's not baby bond, it's a little private midwifery service in the next town to ours. They do an estimation as part of the one I just had and the next one. I'm on a package of 5 scans.

Ladypug · 11/07/2015 09:49

Hi all,

Not been on for about a week so lots to catch up on but just wanted to say hello and hope everyone is well. The fact that some of you are 28 weeks means we must be entering third trimester - OMFG! I'm now feeling movement all the time (weird as felt none until a fortnight ago) constant tummy popping and can even see it from the outside! It's freaky (and distracting in meetings) but cute. How is everyone feeling? Can you believe there is a March thread on here now, we're becoming old school!

BeautifulBatman · 11/07/2015 10:27

Ha ha Ladypug, I keep thinking that about the march thread too - my reaction when I first saw it was 'how are you even pregnant?'. Then I remember I'm not 14 weeks any more. I cannot believe in 3 months some of us will have our dcs already and the rest of of will be fit to burst Shock

Ladypug · 11/07/2015 10:55

It's crazy isn't it?! Time is going so quickly, it seems to be speeding up!

gingerbreadmam · 13/07/2015 15:17

hey sorry not been on for a while either. how are you lady did i see a thread you had started about movement the other day?

i feel right out of the zone at the minute all my time seems to be consumed by funeral plans and making sure dp is ok. sooooo need a break. started feeling very sorry for myself this morning which is never a good thing.

on a brighter note dp and i have to go shopping tonight i think (something funeral related Sad ) but it is near a good baby shop and we still need whatever baby is going to sleep in in our room so i might make him buy that lol! -ificanwenttomothercarelastweekandheletmelookfor2minutes--

gingerbreadmam · 13/07/2015 15:17

ahh strikeout fail Grin ! woops!

gaggiagirl · 13/07/2015 22:40

Aw ginger hope it all gets better soon.

I think the first babies should start arriving in the next 10 weeks, we have a few sections booked, 2 twin mammas and a few with late Sept due dates on this bus. Its hurtling toward us now.

OP posts:
gingerbreadmam · 14/07/2015 09:17

ive got my meeting with hr today about maternity leave, exciting! edd 21 october so im going to finish on friday 2nd as i suspect i will also be having a section due to babys flexed leg.

not long at all! hope u r well!

gaggiagirl · 14/07/2015 14:47

My edd is 8/10 and my last day at work will be the last day of Sept because I have a few days of annual leave to tag on. Its flying by now.

OP posts:
gingerbreadmam · 14/07/2015 15:54

gosh u must be one of the early ones on the thread thats gona flipping fly round. your brave staying that late haha mind u i thought 2 weeks was a long time but hr quesioned my decision today haha!

gaggiagirl · 14/07/2015 21:41

I wanted to stay til October but they wouldn't let me because of the annual leave I had left.
Actually I've checked its the 25th Sept is my.last day, just over 10 weeks!!!!!!
If you're full time ginger I bet you will be sick of working by 35 weeks.

OP posts:
gingerbreadmam · 15/07/2015 10:28

i probably will be but i hate being off and fortunately just an office job so least im sat on my bum most of the time. i dont want to be here right now my minds not in the right place feel like with everything thats gone on and my previous mmc this pregnancy is just passing me by.

even the exciting bits like shopping havent been great because now i dont even know what we can and cant but because of his leg and feet and argh i know its our normal but its just not what you think when you are having a baby. god i sound awful. one of them days seems to be stetching into one of them weeks.

hopefully you will get a bit of rest then before the new baby comes. i think your work might have done the right thing haha Grin

batfish · 15/07/2015 12:45

Ooh ga we will be finishing at the same time, still waiting to get mine agreed but I've proposed I finish on 24th September (our weekend is Fri & Sat) - however we may have a couple of days off for Eid that week so fingers crossed I might get to finish a day or 2 before that Smile

batfish · 15/07/2015 12:48

ginger you don't sound awful at all, it's completely understandable to have ups and downs and especially with what you're dealing with, it's hard enough to know what to do for a baby without any leg problems so of course you're struggling with knowing how you will deal with the practical things such as clothes. I think you're being amazing for what it's worth.

gingerbreadmam · 15/07/2015 17:31

oohh batfish youre a september finisher too eek its going to come round so fast! think it becomes much more real when you make it official with work.

aww thank you i dont feel it at times. i felt so positive when we first found out but this bereavement seems to have brought on a bit of anxiety or something. i have times where i see clearly and i know it will be fine then a panic creeps in.

in all honesty i know as soon as i lay eyes on my son all these worries will melt away i guess its just the unknown that is a bit daunting.

AnnaBegins · 15/07/2015 19:03

I'm hoping to finish 11th sept as I have some holiday but my friend due the day before is finishing mid august! Lucky thing!

Meanwhile, my swollen feet mean I don't fit into my heels and my work trousers are too long for flats Sad sewing time I think!

BeautifulBatman · 15/07/2015 20:09

I stopped work in may. Mainly because dh's job meant relocating. I've been bored out of my brains since. But still, so tired. I'm not sure how long I'd have lasted at work. Maybe it's my age!

gingerbreadmam · 15/07/2015 20:15

ooh lots of people finishing early very nice. hope you are getting time to enjoy before baby comes.

when it was hot the other week my feet were really swollen so you have my sympathies.

i may have a week of hols left depending on how i go between now and then so might be end of september i finish yet.

ollieplimsoles · 16/07/2015 08:41

I'm going on mat as soon as I finish the last book I'm working on, I think it should be mid september, so I will hopefully have a nice bit of time.

In the meantime in keeping my fingers crossed for the results of my glucose tolerance test. They are out tomorrow and im hoping I don't get a phone call because they don't contact you if everything is ok.

gingerbreadmam · 16/07/2015 10:19

oh fingers crossed you get finished early and have some nice time off.

hope you dont get any phonecalls Smile the dreaded glucose test!
