My due date for DC1 is 19th October!

Just catching up after a few days away. Welcome to the new people.
Ginger, sending you some virtual support. The others are right that you should definitely share with us, that's what we're here for. Hoping that Tuesday gives you some more information. I agree with the others that living in a small place you are more likely to have support and understanding than not.

Ginger I hope you get the best possible news today, thinking of you and your little one.

had the amnio, didnt hurt was just weird felt like an electric shock. did a very thorough scan we got a good look at baby today.

everything else is perfectly healthy and they expect the amnio results to come back clear so that is the best news we could have hoped for.

Well that's just about as good as you could've hoped for! It must have been nice to see him again today. How long til the results?

yes baby was all over the place right wriggler they said thursday we will know for the trisomies.

theyre so sure its not that though that letters have already been prepared to all the specialists who will be involved in our sons care once he comes.

That's good news ginger and I'm glad you don't have to wait long for the results.

Great news ginger!

I had a repeat scan yesterday after they couldn't see the baby's heart chambers or diaphragm at the 20 week scan. They weren't worried, she was just lying funny! Everything thankfully totally normal.

That sounds positive ginger although I'm sure it will be a relief to see it in black and white that there are no chromosome issues. Glad you got a good look at your lovely boy again

gingerbreadmam Glad you got to have another look at your little baby boy today and that everything went ok for you during this uncertain time. Got my fingers crossed for you for a good result from the amino but from what I read it looks really promising :)

We went for our 20 week scan today, I was amazingly nervous I had to remind myself to look at the screen or I would miss it all. everything was fine, the baby was so wriggly. She had trouble checking the heart chambers so sent me out for a wee, when I came back the baby was still making it really difficult by turning around all the time. She managed to get it all in the end and it looked all good. We both looked away when she checked the bladder etc so we didn't see anything- still don't know if we are having a little boy or girl!

So glad it went well Ginger and hopefully Thursday will be confirmation of their already strong views it's not trisomy related, you must be relieved and seeing your baby wriggling away must be comforting.
